If you don't want to take any risky of investing it anywhere then its best to save your bitcoins for future by keeping them safe in your wallet as price is tend to rise in long term but make sure that you manage to hold enough amount of bitcoins as lower amount will not give you higher benefits. And also choose a good wallet like blockchain.

Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house?

If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house?

Ive been thinking if it went into very high figures i could cash out 80-90% of bitcoin and buy a house outright with no mortgage.  Is that even a good idea though? - basically 80% of networth in a house hmmm.  On the other hand i dont want to have a mortgage and im fed up with renting due to landlords, letting agents and lack of control.
Buy a house with bitcoin, sure  a house is worth a lot,but making a mistake is what I think you are doing here, like if you wait for a few more years, god knows maybe you can buy one house for one bitcoin(sounds ridiculous but you never know). What I am trying to prove here is that you can wait for a few years and then think of buying your house using bitcoin.
Yeah, you can go for buying a house as prices have gone so up. In fact you can go for anything you love to like going for world tour, investing in different countries or buying different things for yourself. You can support your family more efficiently when prices of bit coins are high. Good luck.
If you have made investments already and things are under your control then not only house you can buy anything that you can afford. If you are holding then congratulations to you now you will get much more than you even expect, just wait for few more months or years whatever suits you.
I think if you have enough money you can just buy a house if you have enough bitcoins at least you have to sell them at some point anyway so this is actually a very good and big long term investment you are making if you buy a house.

Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ?

on 22/09/2017, 08:11:58 UTC
I think the right time to buy bitcoins would be right now because it is going down and the right to sell them would be after they go higher again like a week or two i think it will go higher and you can make profit out of it.

I also think it is the best to buy them at a low price but because the price is so high sometimes it is hard.

Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift?

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

Bitcoin as a wedding gift can be a very good idea. However, we should orient first the couple that we will give Bitcoin as a gift if it how it works. Digital currency is very ideal now, but if the couple you'll be giving Bitcoin know about this, they will definitely appreciate it.
I agree with you it is actually easy if the couple makes 1 to 2 wallets and then receive all the bitcoins in there and when they need it the most they can use or sell it and use the money i would think that giving a bitcoin at a wedding as a gift would be awesome.

Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it?

I would say spend some to have money and invest that money in other coins like one coin or alt coin and keep some for the future to sell them when they are as high like never before. And now just sell some like 1 or 2 if you have like 10 or 20 it wont be a very big difference for you would it?

Re: Has the high fees problem changed your behaviour when spending bitcoins?
by
JamesColombia

My feeling on Bitcoin isn't any different because of the price change. Bitcoin is just a regular thing that people have on their computers, even if we have to pay a fee for transacting with another user then so be it. I don't use Bitcoin that much yet I feel for the people who didn't get any Bitcoins when the price was low so they have to end up with spending more money to output transactions.

The minimum is around $0.13 right? It isn't that bad right now.

Good to know, we can't really control the price of bitcoin same with the dollars value. So we just need to wait for the moment it will increase or try to focus on investing it than spending a lot.
Saving bitcoin is really the best move to do and you are right bitcoin price would really increase and we cant really control it since adoption is on the move it would definitely rise and expected people will surely use it even more which means transactions would be more too and expected fees would rise soon but i dont mind at all.

No it hasn't. I personally think that the fees aren't that high and I'm still spending as much on Bitcoins as always.
Maybe one day if the fees are to high for me I will spend less on Bitcoin but not now Wink.

Re: Buy at $780-800 USD
by

on 13/01/2017, 01:51:59 UTC
I couldn't resist buying back 2 BTC at $780 that I have sold over $1000 not that long ago. I am quite satisfied with this outcome where I will buy buy back more, but only if the price drops to the far lower side of $700. If the price climbs back up, then it's good because I already bought back.

Can maybe be good and it will climb again but I think that when you bought the price was too high if I have to be really honest.

Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc
by
JamesColombia
on 09/01/2017, 22:13:31 UTC
According to my views the marketcap of both of these will be the best tools to find out that how much people are holding bitcoins and how much people are holding gold. With that we can calculate all the things in a summarized form.

Total gold market cap = $7,617,683,440,065 (physical gold only)
Total bitcoin market cap =  $14,460,218,610 (Value of all bitcoin created)

bitcoin market cap = 0.189% of gold's

Total gold market cap = $22,000,000,000,000 (actual gold traded inc. paper gold)
Total bitcoin market cap =  $14,460,218,610 (Value of all bitcoin created (traded volume unknown but significantly less)

bitcoin market cap = 0.066% of gold's

I think holding bitcoins is for me better because its more profitable on a short term and with gold you really need to have patience.

The bitcoin bank is maybe a good idea but for some it will also not be so good due to the fact that they want to stay anonymous and with this it will be more difficult than ever.. its also too central.

Re: Why is gambling so addicting?
by
JamesColombia
on 21/12/2016, 03:22:20 UTC
Because you can 'possibly' earn quick and easy money and not have to wrok. Bums like not working so tell themselves they will continue to try and chase their winnings. They all lose and cry in the end.

Indeed the fact is that you can addicted too it and that it is addicted due to the fact its enjoying and that you can earn some nice money.

Well thats a fact to people nowadays. People nowadays really like to earn money without pushing or putting efforts to it, in short an era in which people are bums and lazy who just open their palms for their money. Gambling online is a good example of a way to earn money without making you sweat. Many people really is addicted to it, either their making money for their future, or getting back for their laid-long-plan revenge.

I think its just so bad from people that they are thinking they can make some fast money with gambling, it will only get you in problems and its addicted and you get greedy from it.

In my eyes the best selling item with the bitcoin are the digital goods because its easy to buy and also offered a lot what is already seen on this forum too.

Cannot agree more the fact is that games are sold so often here and on other forums these days for bitcoins.
