Re: Will the crypto market recover?

How many people expect the market to rebound, but if the end of the year does not recover, perhaps the cryptographic market is no longer eager for us to invest in and hold them.

That could be true. We need the market recover by year end.

Re: It is happening. Bitcoin going strong moving towards $10,000

yes, it certainly is happening it was trying to break the crucial resistance of 9100$ from last week tried twice and was rejected both times but today it finally broke the resistance now we may see a run to 9500$. If we can break 9500, I think we will reject on 9800 and retrace possibly to or below 8K.  and from there again head towards 10k$.

If the BTC breaks $9500, it is good for the future price. The price will rise a lot after that.

Before this next fork, you need to be in Walton. For the long term though, no short trading. Best crypto team for real world applications.

What has the development team done?

I guess it is best to buy bitcoins when its value goes down since its high time to buy and hold them because eventually it wil rise. Although, it is also recommended to diversify your coins so if you are going to buy some altcoins instead of btc, i guess its best to invest in eth and ark. Avt is also a good alt to invest in since its project is quite interesting and a lot of investors are coming in so it's quite promising.

I think the Bitcoin is in inverse relationship with Bitcoin. So when bitcoin price is down, it is safe to buy Bitcoin Cash.

Ouch i just sold my few bitcoin because i thought that the price will going back to $2,500 i just sold my bitcoin i think around $3200..
What the hell looks like there are other investors that can manipulate the price remember china has a largest bitcoin farm that i think they can sell their holding anytime and let other people in china to buy a cheap price of bitcoin..
And i think this will the sign of burst increasing soon ..

I think it is better to hold now. After the Chinese exchanges are closed, they cannot manipulate the market any more. So the price will rise again.

For the ZEC mining, my R9 390 can do 900MHz at 1.0V. The power draw is about 150W from the wall.

what do you guys think about monero.....think it will be big as bitcoin?what you think the price will be 2018 or do you think it will ever hit $200+

In my opinion monero will not be accepted as a store of value the way bitcoin is. The reason is that the opaque blockchain cannot be audited or verified. Perhaps it will continue to do well as niche currency for dark market transactions

I thought we can verify the total amount of Monero.

I think the privacy concerns with big exchanges like Coinbase,  it will lead more people to Monero. Also, once Monero start to get accepted in more places besides the dark web, I think it could rival bitcoin.

It is possible the market cap of Monero is 10% of the bitcoin.

That is very optimistic.

Hi there... any news on the release for version 10? I'm running Polaris so really looking forward to your latest release  Wink

It is possible for it to be released in the next two to three hours. But it has to be 10% faster for me to mine it profitably.

I use bitcoin as payment for my mobile phone's load credits and for our monthly utility bills. Other than those two, I don't spend much because there are still very few local shops or local online stores that accept bitcoin. I have yet to try ordering from overseas because of the other charges that I will incur in the process. Plus the security of the package is also a concern for me.

That is good usage of the bitcoin. In some countries, you can use the bitcoin to buy things, That will increase of the value of bitcoin.

Im investing a part into poloniex, at lending service, and sometimes into some altcoins a small ammounts, the other part im paying to get my projects live soon as possible.

Saving a lot of money in a exchange like Poloniex could be quite dangerous. It is better to save in your own wallet.

I use most of them in gambling, and rest of them to buy digital goods

Me too, i used my bitcoin in gambling, hoping to win a large amount, but unfortunately its not happen. I always got lost my bitcoin. And usually i used my bitcoin in daily loads to my mobile, and others bitcoin i used to online shopping whose accepts bitcoin payment.

I have done that before that I have used my bitcoins with gambling but I stopped it already as I am very unlucky with gambling. So, as of now I am
using bitcoins for paying some monthly bills and it is a good feeling that I am able to help my parents covering up some monthly payments. And that is making me proud.

Yeah its good to help family instead of wasting it in gambling where there is no opportunity to make profits but putting that money in productive things will give you great level of satisfaction.

I use the existing bitcoin to buy the mining equipment. Then I get more bitcoin through mining. That is good investment.

I am using Bitcoin for multiple purposes like sending money online, investment by holding some numbers of bitcoins, gambling is one of the major area of my using this. I am actively using Bitcoin to buy other altcoins to get more profit by trading and holding which is under developments and have some potential of giving me good return in near future.

I have used the bitcoin to pay my phone bills. I only need to have one confirmation to do that. So it is quite convenient.

When I went through various discussion topic. I found certain users has speculated that, the halving has already begun.
Just because of this only we are experiencing a increase in bitcoin price. So need to get much information regarding
the halving. Whether its ongoing or it has not started yet?

well yeah bitcoin block reward halving hapend 2 weeks ago, and price is very stable now and not rising at all, but soon it should rise

I think after a few months of the price stability, it will rise a lot, maybe 40% in the end of the year to over $900.

The bitcoin price is only $550 now after the attack on an exchange. I think the year end price could be $800.

Halving done.
Now for the price to rise a lot, then dump, then stabilize.

Don't take too much risks folks Wink

I think it'll stay around 650 for a while, then it will go down for a few months and then it will shoot up to 1k. I'm going to predict the BTC price shooting up in the next spring.
Well block halving is done and i think in that 2 speculation it will happen either speculation of craked5 or 20kevin20
The price will be rise according to demand and supply..

From now on, the bitcoin price will rise slowly according to the usage of the bitcoin or the mass adoption.

The halving effect can be felt now. The price of bitcoin is rising fast. It is over $680 now. $700 is in sight.

That is right. The price is quite stable at the moment. The price is around $600 to $700. It might go above $700 after halving.
Well I hope that before halving it will go above 800$. If it goes that high ill think ill sell some portion of my bitcoin. I think I will also wait for 1k$ if it is possible. Ill wait for it and leave some portion to sell.

You'd sell at $800 during a halving event that takes place every 4 years and this one occurring at the end of a 2 year bear market? You must be new to Bitcoin.

Welcome, please stop by the newbie section when you have time

what's wrong with some one securing some profits at very interesting price levels? people are free to sell and buy bitcoin whenever they want. i have secured profits well above the $700 level and bought back $100 lower than where i sold them for. that's called smart trading. it allows me to increase my coin count while the price is going higher and higher.

You are a good trader. But for most people, they are not good traders. In theory, trading is negative sum game.

Re: Radeon RX 480 --- How many LTC can it mine per day?
by

Not enough to pay for it's electric usage.

Odds are good it won't get much if any over 1MH/s - which is worse efficiency than the 2.7MHs (appx) at 90 (appx) watts the old Gridseed 80 Blade FIRST GENERATION Scrypt capable ASIC managed (we're about a month or so out from the Innosilicon A4, which is at LEAST a 3'd and arguably a 4'th generation ASIC for Scrypt).

We're in the right forum area BTW - thread might have gotten moved before I saw it though.

RX 480 should be a good Ethereum miner, though it might be a bit too late to achieve ROI on it given how much the diff of Ethereum has been increasing of late and that the price has NOT been keeping up the last couple months.

It could be more efficient than the R9 nano, so if the difficulty just rise 5% a month, it will achieve ROI.

The internet is buzzing with news about the latest $200 Radeon RX 480. Does anyone knows how to calculate the amount of LTC it could mine per day on one of those cards?

People should probably mention in the first place that Litecoin is a ASIC zone now, and it does not matter how good your GPU is, you should not mine LTC with it, at all. Bar none.

We cannot use it to mine the litecoin. It will be not profitable. You can use that to mine the Ethereum.
