Re: Can anybody tell me what is the equivalent of a stake?
by
Jannalsieh
on 20/04/2018, 01:52:22 UTC
Hi all,

I am now currently joining in a bounty campaign that will end next month maybe. Weekly they allocate an equivalent no. of stakes upon completion of task which is to post at least 15 meaningful messages depending on our ranks. And I just want to know what is the equal in value of stake into altcoins.Thank you in advance.

Your stakes usually mean what percentage of tokens/altcoins are you entitled too when bounty ends. That is usually calculated by this formula:

Tokens you get = bounty token pool * your stakes / sum of stakes of all participants

For example, in a bounty where:
- they have allocated 1000 tokens for twitter campaign
- they give 1 stake for retweet
- you made 100 retweets in total throughout the whole campaign (and lets say for the sake of the simplicity, all other participants also made 100 retweets)
- there were 100 participants all together

You would get: X = 1000 * 100 / 10000 = 10 tokens

So, you would get 10 tokens at the end of the campaign. More people are participating, the less you get. I hope this clarifies it for you! Smiley

Well, the post above simplifies it all. Stakes earned is dependent on your rank and number of posts required weekly.
Then after that, stakes are summarized and calculated into token equivalents. Final tokens received will be dependent on the number of participants with which you share bounty allocations.
Therefore, the more people participating, the lesser relatively you earn.

Re: Why people are holding Altcoin?
by
Jannalsieh
on 19/04/2018, 13:21:08 UTC
Why people are still holding their altcoincoin in this volatile market?

Do they really love their altcoin?
Are they waiting for the price goes up?
What is your reason for holding?

I believe int he coins that I hold, otherwise, I would've sold them way back when prices are better.
I also believe in the potential of the coins I hold, that it will have good prospects in the future of digital assets.
There are pros and cons in the market, and based on statistics only around 10% of the total population have heard and invested in cryptocurrencies, thus, the high potential of the market.
With that in mind, we hold and believe in our coins.

Yep, I have same reasons here. I believe in the altcoins that I hold. I researched about it before investing in it and so I have concrete knowledge of its program and road maps and products. I also keep in mind how strong and healthy its community support is.
Knowing all these can help you decide whether to invest or not.
By the fact that I invested, it means I trusted it.

I also joined bounty campaigns in FIANCIA. At first it was all great, the community is growing steadily and healthy. Until, they ask for that 0.1 ETH as part of their KYC program so that they can pay us the bounty due to us.
That is where I confirmed ti all, the scam behind the program. Such a shame.
Don't ever give them anything, that is a scam.

Re: Bounty and too many participants
by

Bounty campaigns have become popular and have gain a lot of attention lately resulting to the rise of bounty hunters. I think this rise of many participants is a good thing and is a healthy competition. Those who are afraid or annoyed with the increase of participants are either worried about somebody taking their jobs. Even the real world their is a lot of competition, if you are not quite good or a slacker then someone is willing to take your place.

Yes everywhere you go competition is always there, even here in crypto platform. But it should not be bounty hunters that will compete against each other, but alts with more or less similar products.
With more participants in the bounty campaign things should get better, rather than ugly.
It only means it has a lot of community supporters that back it up and promotes it.

Re: Patience is the key
by
Jannalsieh
on 14/04/2018, 08:14:35 UTC
Precisely. Patience is needed to be successful. You should wait for the right time when to buy and to sell coin. If they dont have patience enough then it will be hard for them

Yeps! If we don't have it we would result to panic selling. Now the question is, how would you keep your patience in check given the stressful price fluctuations that would constitute big losses?
Me, I'll just stick with the idea of not checking constantly our accounts showing markdowns and all.

Re: How will the Crypto market end in 2018?
by

I bet it will end with a bull run. Of course market situations is a little dire at present but it shows signs of recovery as exhibited by bitcoin and eth.
However, we can never be sure if this goes in a steady increase. But I hope and praying that it will end good for all of us.

Re: Are you buying altcoins
by

on 12/04/2018, 01:48:06 UTC
yes it really is a good time, no the perfect time actually to buy alts, since there a lot of asset holders that are dumping their coins at lower price.
But there is also the chance that prices will fall and may even dig dipper, but this is largely dependent on the coin you wish to buy.
So yes, I find this as an opportunity to invest and buy a lot of coins.

Re: Is it legal to use bitcoin in the philippines?
by
Jannalsieh
on 12/04/2018, 01:27:44 UTC
Yes, it is legal to use Bitcoins in the Philippines. If anything, the BSP ruling is a step that allows everyone to engage in bitcoin without fear of being classified as someone who doesn’t use traditional currency (AKA the Peso). It is a step towards acceptance. Also, it is a way of telling us that we can deal with bitcoins if we want.

There isn't still the forbidden using bitcoin in philippines if i read the news related to them, so it's still legal in my opinion, we can say it's illegal when there is a rules from the government of the country saying that you can't get the punishment if you're using bitcoin

having no law stating that it is "illegal" doesn't make it legal. Regulations and house bills passed from the congress and senate makes it legal. So far for now, in the Philippines, there is no law stating that it is legal or illegal.  But the government has an open mind about it and banks participate in transactions with cryptos, especially bitcoin.

I agree. The news out of the Phillippines is good for crypto. I read the release from the BSP. Do they consider cryptocurrency to be "virtual currency?"

Yes everything is going great with cryptos in the country, however, there is no law that states that it is accepted as virtual currency yet.
But needless to say, regulations are on the way and hopefully legalization.

Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding!
by
Jannalsieh
on 11/04/2018, 01:54:54 UTC
If you want to hold altcoin for the 2-3 years then I suggests you to hold etherum..because nowadays it rate increased too much and in future it will also increase. And I also suggests you to invest in LTC.And nowadays ATC coin is the best for investment. ATC coin is cryptocurrency of India.I also suggest you to invest in it.

Yes they are good candidates or prospects for holding long term like 2-3 years. But is ATC of India a good one? I heard things aren't really good out there for crypto asset holders.

Anyway, holding long term is only excellent for the biggest coins in the market IMO. Others with relatively good prospects, maybe 1 year is the optimum hold duration to maximize benefits.

Re: Coins that disappointed you

Oyster PRL - it kicked in last year to a stable increase, reaching almost $2 within 6 months since it was launched. Now it is just amounting to $0.07. Such a disappointment considering that the potential for the market was great. Done devs said that the  do was brought about by some guys spreading FUD. Some collateral damage was being taken care of, let's see what goes on from here.

This one really is disappointing. I really have high hopes for Oyster PRL and eyeing n its development, but recent development wasn't impressive as it was before. Though, I'm still hopeful of that the coin will restore its former glory and grow more.

Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases?
by
Jannalsieh
on 08/04/2018, 09:26:58 UTC
you can sell all your assets, I don't care. That would spell out that you lose a lot. Or who knows maybe you bought it at extremely low price then you still gain, but you lose the chance to gain more.
On the other hand, if you hold it and buy more coins instead, you will probably gain more profits in the future should market recover - and it will.

Re: How to make money on the fall of the market.
by
Jannalsieh
on 08/04/2018, 09:00:35 UTC
It is easy, but first you need a few good money to start investing.
Also it is best to buy coins when the downward trend or fall of the price of coins hit bottom, otherwise it would be long tiring wait and may exhaustive and you may end up not having profits at all.
Its just when market is down then we buy, then we sell on highs can we profit from fall of market.

Re: How often do you join airdrop?
by
Jannalsieh
on 08/04/2018, 08:47:18 UTC
Guys, how often do you join airdrop?

Are you taking part in any of them?

What is more, you can get tokens for testing a project's beta. For example, KickCity. You can get reward for testing this platform https://kickcity.io/event/5a9d11030cf2cac8e081f3e8

I seldom join airdrop due to a number of uncertainties that surrounds it. And there are more scams i it than do regular bounties.
I only join airdrop when manager or dev team are those whom I trust and worked with before.

I don't believe that ICOs will die this year, instead it will prosper. There are a lot of a few good ICOs out there and kickcity is one of them
Extremely high visibility in any social media platform, with good track records of dev team, with real world application product.

The case for most people that wished to become a millionaire in just a day after investing, is they tend to check every hour for their profits then complain. As been posted, cryptos, is not a week job and observe results. But huge profits and impressive results will be observed after a few months, say for example like 10mos or so.

I missed the dip the other day and am wondering if I should hold out for another dip or if the current prices are still decent. Mainly looking at litecoin and etherum. I also need coins regardless so I can exchange for other altcoins.

You can wait for another dip and delay your investment and chance of growth. Or you can invest now and only sell on highs and never on lows.
That way you still gain and never lose money.
cause as many would say, there is never a day you can say as perfect for investing

Yes I still believe in ICOs. Even though there were a lot that have failed, and many that are scams, there are still a lot or at least a few ICOs that have very good dev plan and roadmap accomplished.
So yes, I still believe in ICOs.

Re: I am surprised !!! I am confused what is happening right now.
by
Jannalsieh

The market has been attacked by banksters, cartels, and central power and this creates a lot of FUD in the space. People are influenced by those events and panic sellers, weak hands, and speculators remove their money from the space.

Then the whales and people with a huge capital increase their position and repeat the cycle.

Do not panic and HODL!

Yep that really is it, there are a lot of player that has the capacity to manipulate the system or the market.
These players have a lot of strategies at their disposal to remove yourself from the common trust imposed to the coin. And if they succeed many will lose confidence and sell their assets out of panic, and impact market price.
So yes, do not panic just hold it.

Re: KYC of bounty hunters
by
Jannalsieh
on 04/04/2018, 13:05:51 UTC
Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.

We all get to crypto because of anonymity. Then why are we giving this up?

I don't think this is a good moved for ICO to ask for their bounty hunters information. I'm totally against it, and this is not a good development especially for all of us.

I'm not a airdrop guy though, never join any up to this time, and with this recent development, I would continue not to participate in any one of them.

I agree with you buddy.  I don't even like it one bit that KYC thing.
Should this continue, I will no longer participate in airdrops. We should maintain anonymity in this platform and space, after all, it is the best thing that these platform offers.

Re: Thailand plans to tax cryptocurrencies
by
Jannalsieh
on 04/04/2018, 03:35:40 UTC
This is expected to happen. After the surge of cryptocurrencies, Thailand's decision is good.
There are other countries that are looking to crypto's now but they are only seeing the bad side.
But this is a good adoption and it only means that Thailand is supporting cryptocurrencies.

I totally agree with this. We should not be afraid of regulations, this only mean that crypto is being recognized and is a cue for its adoption in the long run. Cryptocurrency is gaining fame across the globe, and many are looking at it for potential source of income.
