Re: Do you panic?
by
JanuaryStars
on 16/05/2018, 08:56:39 UTC
Bounty tokens only represent small proportion of the total coins, and not every single one of those bounty participants that received bounty tokens sold their assets. It's just not logical that they all would sell it. HAving said that, I believe that only a small proportion of those hunters sold their assets, thus, no reason to panic at all.  they do not represent the bigger portion, only small.

Re: Which is more effective Bounty or Airdrops ?
by
JanuaryStars
on 16/05/2018, 08:50:48 UTC
Effective in terms of what bro? in terms of profits? If it is then I would say you should pick bounty, as it has high bounty allocation as opposed to airdrops. Also there are more scams with airdrops, so it is a better way to spend time with bounty.
Therefore it is a more efficient way to join bounty in terms of profits and time spent.

Yeah, it i a little confusing as to what terms would it be effective?
But anyway, I believe to whatever positive aspect campaigns have, bounty will always have the upper hand.
There are a lot of bad news that goes around with Airdrops, hence, all the more reason that bounty is most preferred.

Re: Low prices, are you excited about the situation?
by

With this Dip, prices are quite low, I would say Yes I am pretty much excited!
Every single time that dip is observed, it is an opportunity to buy coins with high potential in the market.
After all, as soon as it hits bottom, only good things can happen to it.

Re: Do you sell right away or wait?
by

After participating in ICOs by buying some tokens or participating in bounties, the moment their tokens are listed in exchanges, what do you do guys, do you sell your tokens right away or wait for a more higher price to come?

Try and show your support by holding you assets long term, after all, you may have invested or joined in bounties because you believe in the coin - right?
But for people who just joined for the sake of it, it is understandable that they would sell it right there and then.
But I would encourage them to hold it for a while and see the results

Re: Long-term investment.

I feel long term investment is a good way to gain more profits, a simple yet great strategy. Prices of any currency don't grow multiple times overnight, it takes time. Otherwise it will just be a bubble waiting to blow into nothingness.
So yes, for me long term investment is a good way to go.

Re: Bounty Campaign
by
JanuaryStars
on 10/05/2018, 01:01:04 UTC
Your a junior Member now you can join in signature campqign which is the highest allocation campaign and the least participant make it most profitable than the other. Good bounty manger has a less percentage of scam project so better to pick bounty under those managers

Yeps, take this guys advice, join in bounty campaign, pick signature campaigns because it has the most bounty allocation in comparison. Also join telegram campaigns, join in their telegram channel and earn tokens without doing any work.
You can your tokens as reward for promoting the project by the end of the campaign.
The number of tokens that can be collected from participating is dependent on the bounty allocated for sure, and also dependent on the number of participants given your rank.
The bounty manager and dev team may indicate the quality of ICO.

Re: Quit your job to promote bounty campaigns fulltime: unrealistic????

It is not an impossible thing to make a living out of participation in bounty campaigns, it is a possibility alright. But yes it needs a lot of work and I think a 100 a week is an overkill. Well maybe that friend of yours must have had a good paying work at present to promote that huge a number per week.
Going back, I know one that have quit his job and now participates full time in bounty campaigns.
I just wish him well though.

Re: Bounty and too many participants
by
JanuaryStars
on 10/05/2018, 00:47:34 UTC
Since there are merit rules the participant of the signature campaign has been reduced, and other campaigns such as videos and blogs become alternatives.
very lucky person who has a high account right now she is not thinking of anything to get merit.

Aside form being reduced, all thanks to merit system, the quality of posts from each participant are now improving.
Merit system has it's own strengths with positive impacts, but also has its drawbacks. Trade-offs if we put it.
Number of participants can be a measure of legitimacy of project and trust. So having a lot of participants is not always a problem, but not always a good thing. But we should not limit participants wishing to promote the project.

Re: Do advisors really matter?
by
JanuaryStars
on 10/05/2018, 00:41:47 UTC
Yes I believe advisers provide a vital role in any ongoing projects and even those that have concluded.
But this is only the case if and if the adviser/s shows diligence and provide advise that aligns with project objectives and the community that revolves around it. Advise form them should not be biased and self-serving.

Re: How can we protect ourselves from a crypto crash?
by
JanuaryStars
on 09/05/2018, 05:36:03 UTC
A few members of this community, if not most, always perceive crash or dip as a negative thing. Well, for some it can be a negative thing, but for many others that understood well how this market behaves, perceive crash or dip as an opportunity to buy and invest in many altcoins with high potential.
On another note, many others don't have the resources to invest, but just hold on to your coins and never ever sell your assets lower than the buying price.

Re: Bounty is like a Box Chocolate
by
JanuaryStars
on 09/05/2018, 05:01:06 UTC
I can say that the bounty is not like Box Chocolate, it is like the lottery or job with lottery payments. It becomes harder and harder every day.

Yes it is not a box of chocolate. It is also not true with regards to having value or none at all. However, this is only applicable for those that participated blind, didn't do their own research.
If you did ample research, then for sure you'll know what you're getting into.

Re: Who Agrees with Me?

which I see is like that. and I think that's how it works. how to keep the market stable. I think bitcoin also has a continuity between other altcoins. but that's just my perception

This market is not stable, it is highly volatile. If you mean stable by which follows the same pattern as before, then I agree with you.
This is perfectly normal, it is within the usual trend. This is all likely thanks to the limited overall amount of cap for the whole market.
And when insufficiency is experienced in the market, most of altcoin assets would flow to bitcoin and eth, the relatively stable ones, then goes back to other end again.
Most altcoins, if not all, are reliant to bitcoin.

Re: Tactics When Market is Falling
by
JanuaryStars
on 09/05/2018, 02:46:50 UTC
Hi all,
I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.
Thanks

Yes this is within normal bounds of crypto market, it is highly volatile, thus, prices fluctuates. Fluctuations will give opportunities for investments. So if you have enough resources, why don't you buy coins that is/are particularly successful potentially? If not, just HODL your assets cause prices will soon recover as soon as price drop hits bottom. Just be patient.

Re: Does Bitcoin price affect ICOs
by
JanuaryStars
on 01/05/2018, 08:53:47 UTC
Most definitely! Bitcoin is a the most singular coin that all the coin including tokens are priced against. Therefore, if anything  happen to bitcoin prices it is easily felt by cryptocurrency ecosystem in general!

Yes they are directly impacted with fluctuations of bitcoin prices. But to elaborate more, when bitcoin price decreases, many altcoin asset holders would trade their coins for bitcoin, since its price is dropping and they will view it as a perfect time to invest.
Given the volume out of an alt, its market price will then decrease as a consequence.
Though that is but one of the reasons, but the most logical explanation.

Re: Signature Bounty : coin value in USD vs Stake
by
JanuaryStars
on 29/04/2018, 08:00:43 UTC
It really doesn't matter much to me. It all will end up in proper use anyway.
But for all I know, most of the projects I participated in offers payment in tokens and not in USD.
I can earn USD in some other ways, like daytime or office jobs, but it cannot give me cryptos in any way.
So may be, at some point, I prefer earning cryptos.

Re: how to manage losses?
by
JanuaryStars
on 29/04/2018, 07:32:06 UTC
If you haven't sold, then you haven't loss anything.  Stop comparing the highest price to what the price is now.  You didn't sell at the top so it was never "your" money.  Until the money is in your hands, it was never yours.  Just comparing the highs to the lows will make you go crazy.

I agree! This principle works out fine for me every single time. Just be confident that nobody really losses anything until they sell their coins lower price relative to buy it. Don't go looking at low and the highs most of the time of the day, you'll end up with  a heart attack.  Grin
Also before investing it is best that you understood how this platform or market behaves.

Re: Will ICO die in 2018?
by
JanuaryStars
on 25/04/2018, 08:26:04 UTC
Noo,Moreover, the concept of cryptocurrency ICO means people can help shape the future of this entire ecosystem. There is a wide range of different projects raising funds through an ICO, and every single project aims to bring something new to the table. Moreover, virtually all of these projects raise a lot of money in the process of their ICO taking place. Multi-million dollar projects are very common in the world of cryptocurrency ICOs.

ICO will not end this year. I agree with Blueblade above, ICO projects tend to bring something new that will revolutionize transactions, job bridging, gaming, and a lot more to offer depending on their target. This ICO is backed by really big projects with strong community support. So yes, I don't think that ICO will end this year or any time sooner.

Re: Russia is going to accept crypto!
by
JanuaryStars
on 24/04/2018, 00:48:58 UTC
Good news such as this one will definitely bring positive impacts to cryptos in general in the global scale.
But of course we should not forget that in Russia, opinions with regards to cryptos was more like an off and on relationship last year. Basically their opinions are divided, hopefully this news is the real deal from here onward.

I've read the same, that they have that "off and on" opinion with regards to cryptos, despite welcoming blockchain technology in banks but have different opinion when it comes to crpytos. I sure do hope and pray that this will be the solid opinion of the Russian community out there.
