Re: I guess personal wallets are a thing of the past now.

This outcome is expected, this is what makes most altcoins dangerous for long term hold without looking back, they can change from a Chain to another, they can swap smart contract, they can do lots of other things and if you aren't following you will lose out, it's always good to stay active
I appreciate both coins with proper blockchain and wallet clients and coins that using already existing blockchains and ecosystems. But the main point is as long as you have the wallet.dat file, your coin stays with you forever without any daily checking or mishaps that need to swap and such. While the same can't be said for coins that utilize token ecosystems.

Re: Does bounty still kind of worth on 2020?
by
Janus101
on 03/09/2020, 20:45:51 UTC
We all know that we can get free bucks on these "bounties" since a long time ago. But today, is it still worth it hence there are so many cryptocurrencies like millions of them I i'm correct.
I wonder for you guys who always participate in bounties, I really want to know your portfolio's.

Pls no shitpost here for your signature campaign thing so people know your real opinion.
The truth is that bounties have become like lotteries or something like a lucky draw where if you are lucky you can earn good rewards while mostly you will end up with small rewards or totally no rewards and scams in worst case scenarios.
No, the lottery requires solely on luck while bounty only needs partial of luck. You need to learn the partem to chose good bounties with good rewards when it come to end. Yes, it is still worthy of doing bounties in 2020 as long as you learned to join in good bounties. If you replied on luck alone when choosing bounties then, of course, rewards will be hit and miss like the lottery.

I'm more likely as a crypto enthusiast. There is still a lot of things I don't understand about crypto and too scary cat to venture out of my comfort zone that just doing a few bounties and airdrops here and there, have a few bad in holding but not very significant in term of price.

Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters

Yes, I very much agree with your point and want to support the change to make bounty projects pay bounty hunters with stable coins. But I think we won't able to force every bounty project to abide that rules even if we somehow successfully did it. Bounty projects are up to their own devices to pay us whatever they want.

Yes, I can whole heart agree that most people fall for obvious scams is all because of their greed. They may have limited knowledge or don't at all but with greed, it was the main driven and motivate for their downfall.

Being wiser is not enough since there are many factors when it comes to cryptocurrencies. Although I do agree if you have a good mindset from a wise investor, you will fare much better compared to without it.

Re: DeFi coins have turn the market into confusion
by

It's becoming scaring to me the rate at which Defi projects are trending, I am very skeptical about investing in Defi projects now because scammers will surely take advantage of it. I just hope people can stick to solid projects that are credible instead of investing in anything called Defi.
Yeah, I also feel oddly scared for how some DeFi project suddenly took the top spot on CMC while many altcoin took years and not even come close to it. I feel a strong sense of denying and couldn't believe it. Pretty much in confusion now and don't know what I should do.

Re: New exchange tokens worth investing on???
by
Janus101
on 23/08/2020, 21:14:54 UTC
Either you find a hidden gem exchange that also has its own exchange token or stay with the top exchange token as you have listed. Don't bother anything else since there is a lot of bad exchange with nothing to offer for their in-house tokens. Those is very high risk and not much different than ICO cause very data can be manipulated by them, in their own exchange.

Re: BOUNTY PAYMENT MATTERS
by
Janus101
on 23/08/2020, 16:24:19 UTC
You had a very nice idea tho I don't think any project wants to do that unless there is strong pressure from everyone, not just bounty hunters alone. Why paying a fee to conduct bounty aka escrow as long as no one can force them to do that?
Yes, creating a bounty and escrow is something that you don't have to force if the project doesn't need it, but if that is done then there will be a good effect for the project itself, because on a real foundation they will be really strong in the future. if the project can be successful in a timely manner.

Some of the legit projects already have similar things like that. They hold bounty with a high reputation bounty manager and pay all the fees, funds to him just like it was in escrow. In the end, it's really up to each project if they want to do a serious business or not.

It was a dilemma for those people since they want to have a huge gain by investing in new projects. But then some impatient people expect it to have a booming result like the old project which impossible at the time. Some people stuck in a very simple mindset.

Re: Whats your thought about New projects?
by
Janus101
on 23/08/2020, 15:42:56 UTC
Crypto market is a very competitive scene with many new projects try to establish themselves over many old projects that already have a strong foundation and base. Of course, the market will demand more and more so most new projects will fail, abandoned, and never surface again. Only a few able to survive this process and you should get use to it.

Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards
by

How many projects hold on the promise and pay eventually after years in limbo, tho? You must have known that only a few legit projects fulfill their promise while the rest don't. Should you treat every late bounty like that? Waiting for years and stay in their telegram channel? No, don't clinch on an empty promise.

Re: 8 reasons to start playing blockchain games
by
Janus101
on 06/08/2020, 18:03:48 UTC
In all games I've played so far you do need to invest money to generate at least some type of profits and usually you have to invest a significant amount of money to really receive enough rewards.

The only one I've seen so far that was worth investing in the early days is ChainzArena. Their native token, SOUL went from 0.08 EOS to 0.24 and daily users are also a relative big amount.

Yeah, a lot of blockchain game revolves around p2w model of normal MMO when you hit/invest to a certain threshold, your investment finally has return profit. Since that turn of me most so I don't play any blockchain game but from your suggestion, maybe I should give that game a try. Thank you.

I usually gauge a project by their ambitions, how big they're aiming, or planning to go in the future. Being on the top exchange is one of many good point that new coin should at least thought about or aiming for it.

I never let my altcoin bad holding more than 50% of my portfolio. Only Bitcoin and ETH or strong altcoin in top 10 holding more than 50% of my bad. When marking the uptrend of the downtrend, only top coin will survive and not the low tier altcoin that people holding it like they're married to it.

Ripple XRP is a good investment if you're looking for any short gain. Many traders will talk about how it doesn't the decentralize, bad founder,... but profit speaks for itself. As long it has profit, I'm in.

Re: What will it take for crypto payment to go mainstream?
by

To become a mainstream payment, they need to have the ease of use which the behemoth Bitcoin doesn't have. I agree with you on that but I think there are still chances for Bitcoin to be a part of the future mainstream payment. Not directly but a part of its ecosystem.

I saw so many newbies make mistakes like this, participate in a bounty project without asking who's the bounty manager. They don't know what a bounty manager from the team could do and though every bounties are the same with management. Only when all things crash down hard that they realize it.

Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down
by
Janus101
on 01/08/2020, 16:48:03 UTC
There's an old saying "Buy when the market is green and sell when the market is red".
It's arguably one of the better strategy as your money won't remain stale. When you see a bullish trend, you  buy the first moment you can and when you thin it's turning into a bear, you sell. Short term investors earned a good profit in last 1 month as compared to holders that are holding for last 2 years. Different people have different strategy when it comes into trading but the essence is to increase your profit while limiting your loss.

I think you nail it perfectly about why people doing it. Not just because of FOMO alone but there are short term traders make an investment like this by 'surfing the wave' as I call. If they are too greedy and refusing to sell when there is a sign of bearish, their loss.
