I am using their service for some of my servers. Works very well and customer support is awesome.

Just avoid those HDD boxes ... horrible read/write times for disk access and it obviously slows everything down.

Dedicated and VPS with SSD's are very good and connectivity is also good. Didn't have any problems so far.

The best of their service is the direct support through chat for pretty much everything you want help with!

Ark hat Ledger Nano S Unterstützung angeknündigt.

Neu wird TypeScript API angeboten.

Handel auf coss.io exchange unterstützt nun Ark.

Momentan läuft ein Project für eine experimentelle Ark-Ethereum Integration.

Ark unterstützt nun API's für die Programmiersprache Golang von Google.

Es wurde ein zusätlicher Vollteilenwickler angestellt.

Der Ark Community Fund verfügt mittlerweilen über mehr als 150k Ark "Kapital" und unterstützt Community Projekte.

Das neueste Desktop Wallet ist Version 1.2.2.

The development will continue. The team has enough funding for some years and seems to manage their funds well. I did not hear any concerns or uncertainties from the Ark team. They are rather looking for more excellent developers to get more projects done faster. Based on the roadmap and completed tasks i would say that they get more done with less fuzz than a lot of other projects.

Whenever I have to download the entire chain for Ethereum or Bitcoin to do some small payment I realize how superior the approach of DPOS and Ark is. People are not used to it yet but knowledge is starting to spread. We still got a lot of questions like: Do you have to keep wallet open to vote/stake? It is still unthinkable for a lot that you can have a secure system without downloading a big blockchain and constantly open desktop wallets.  

My guess is that next big thing after ledger will be push button deployable testnets. It is already at 70% on the roadmap. Business Entity formation also seems to be done soon (85%) but not sure how much impact that will have. At least it provides better legal security I guess.

Ark is extremely fast. Delegates proof of stake with 8s blocktime. 1 confirmation is enough.

That should not really happen if you address gets included in the contract.
You will have to trust the Ethereum blockchain and smart contract technology though.
If the smart contract is good and without security problem it will work like that:

1. Your Ethereum address will get all tokens assigned.
2. The tokens will all be "locked" and can't be transferred.
3. The tokens will become "active" and free for transfer over time through "Automatic Mining" (see the contract for details)
4. Ethereum and the contract should ensure that it is only you who can send the tokens to someone else.

That is how I understand it ... just stumbled on it today.

Side note: You will have to pay ethereum fees to transfer the tokens and "use" the ethereum contract.
The creators of the smart contrac thas to pay ethereum fees too.

As far as I understand they will have to create the contract with the genesis addresses first. Then you will be able to see the tokens with the contract address once the contract is live.

I think it is not big enough to worry any government and has serious limitations that prevent it from becoming too big.
I see it more likely that we will see a far better cryptocoin in the future. There are a lot of people thinking about enhancements...
