My choice:

IOTA
XLM
ADA
TRX
XVG

Among other things, I came across the offer of marineco.in/ico/. The idea is interesting and the offer lures, - and to secure free MTC 450,000 do a litte adv.
The first self-sustaining crypto-currency
The first DEV-less,
Artificial Intelligence,
Perpetual, Potential,
Under Valued,
Truly Decentralized,

I agree with this. I'll add MTC at this stage to any top 5 or top 10 coins to invest in. The fact that you can get 450,000 MTC via airdrop makes it risk free, and the coin has been around for years. It has a low market cap so there is a lot of potential.

With low marketcap, the key word is potential. It means that the coin has a lot of room to grow, but there is no certainty that the coin will actually grow. That depends on other indices like dev community, whether the coin solves a real world problem, etc. Don't just look at marketcap

I would recommend you use 1btc to buy 10,000,000 MTC then hold everything till december and see how it pans out. https://marineco.in/#prices  I know it might seem a bit to risk on marinecoins, but it is being revived and there really is no downside to this. I really believe there is more room for MTC to grow than there is for BTC, given the market caps of the two currencies and their relative prices.

Re: MarineCoin (MTC): Project restarted after 3 years

Recently got to know about MarineCoin (https://marineco.in/) where you need to Signup and verify your Account. Thereafter you need to do a promotion of the project (which is like a bounty program) and submit photo and ID proofs along with proof-of-work and you get 450,000 tokens free.

The project was live in 2013-14 and got stopped for some reason and has now been restarted. The website says that it is a community project with a total token count ~9 billion (pre-mined).

Scope of Project: Payment technology that claims to be ~5 times faster than the Bitcoin blockchain

Risk: Low (no investment; ID proof and proof-of-work to be submitted)

I don't see any downsides in the project yet. What do you guys think?

I'm really excited about this. Virtually all recent ICOs have been new coins with no track history. But marinecoin has been around for years, which is like decades or centuries in crypto-time, lol.  Most of the coins have been pre-mined, so the airdrop is really the only way to get it with minimal risk and investment. All round, an excellent HODL option for 2018

It's a dead cryptocurreny. I don't recommend investing in Marinecoin at all. Such cryptocurrencies don't make profit in any way. If you want to make a profit join the icos.

It's been revived, so I wouldn't say its dead cryptocurrency. I see it as one of the exciting risk free currencies of 2018. Risk free in the sense that there is an airdrop currently one where you can get 450,000 mtc for free, and all you have to do is to hold it. The only investment you need to make right now is the time needed to qualify for the airdrop
