Re: what are some of the new projects we should keep eyes on it?

I think we can consider participating in DAPPs on various emerging public chains. For example, the NFT project on CELO or FTM. When the public chain really starts to compete, the quality of the DAPP on their blockchain will determine the number of their users. BTW, I have purchased the game NFT, ATRI on FTM.

Re: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum?
by

So far, there is no

BSC, which is closest to ETH, has insufficient decentralization backed by Bianace.

Recently, the popular SOL has just been disconnected from the Internet.

FTM, Polygon, etc. have not been able to prove that they can still maintain their current performance when facing a large enough number of users.

Although ETH has a high gas fee, it is still an unshakable application public chain.

Re: Polygon vs BSC
by

At present, mature public chains only have ETH and BSC. As the first public chain with applications, ETH has huge user resources. Behind BSC are Binance's funding and operations team, as well as Chinese people who want to participate in cryptocurrency. From this point of view, polygon has no significant advantages in the face of both. It has neither a huge user base nor sufficient funds. At the same time, it also faces competition from SOL and FTM. It is very difficult for Polygon to surpass BSC, but it is almost impossible to surpass ETH.

Unless his team has innovations that change the world.

Re: SHIB the new tough competitor to DOGE

SHIB, like DOGE, is a buying frenzy caused by Musk. For most people, the price at which they buy SHIB or DOGE is not low, and perhaps they are still at a loss. Personally, when a whale buys a token at a very low price and vigorously promotes the token, I will not choose to participate.

Perhaps the best place is the onion network. I have to say that there are still too few places to buy items through cryptocurrency. However, it is very convenient to convert encrypted currency into legal currency, and it is recommended to use it as an investment target in the short term.

The popularity of NFT decreases with the prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Perhaps it is because ordinary users are afraid that their NFT will depreciate due to the depreciation of ETH. I think the NFT wave is not over yet. With the arrival of the bull market in the second half of the year, the NFT wave will re-emerge.

The price drop this time is more like a counterattack to the previous NFT market enthusiasm. For cryptocurrencies, the amount of money in the market is limited because their penetration rate is far lower than that of stocks or gold. When most of the funds are consumed in investing in nft and paying high gas fees, there is not enough funds to push the currency price up. There is another piece of data to prove this. When the price of Bitcoin exceeded $50,000 this time, the transaction volume was only 2/3 of the previous time when the price exceeded $50,000. So the price drop is predictable.

Re: Does bitcoin fall need a reason?
by

Bitcoin's price drop is more due to the mismatch between transaction volume and price. Before yesterday, the price of Bitcoin exceeded $50,000, but the transaction volume was only two-thirds of the previous Bitcoin reached $50,000.

In addition, many people are more inclined to look for reasons in the news when the price drops. In fact, it is more likely to be a joint stock exchange by the exchange.

Congratulations to Bitcoin, a great step.

In fact, I am curious how certain countries and organizations that oppose Bitcoin or promote Bitcoin as a scam will face the fact that the countries with which they have diplomatic relations have established it as legal tender.

Re: Why doesn't bitcoin go up higher percentages like altcoins?
by
Jasper HODL
on 07/09/2021, 03:19:00 UTC
On the contrary, when Bitcoin fell, altcoins also fell more rapidly than Bitcoin. Compared to Bitcoin, investing in altcoins is a high-risk and high-yield investment choice. At the same time, investing in altcoins also needs to pay attention to the risks caused by insufficient decentralization, while investing in Bitcoin does not need to consider these issues.

Re: If bitcoin go high the poor will not participate
by

on 07/09/2021, 03:12:19 UTC
I think the reason why it is more difficult for the poor or ordinary people to participate is not the price of Bitcoin, but that there is no systematic textbook to teach them what Bitcoin is. For them, the time cost and knowledge cost required to contact this field are far greater than the monetary cost.

Congratulations.

Recently, I often see some posts, OPs are buying Bitcoin at the low price of Bitcoin. I really like to see this kind of posts appear on the bitcointalk homepage. They can build confidence for newcomers who have just entered the forum.

Two points are certain about the price of Bitcoin.

1. Short-term can not be predicted
2. Long-term must rise

As more and more people know Bitcoin, this phenomenon is almost inevitable. For more ordinary people, whether they can make money through cryptocurrency is the most important reason they care about this field. When novices find bounty, they will be more inclined to participate in the bounty program than to study the spirit of Bitcoin.

Now that the price of Bitcoin has returned to above 50,000, I don’t know if the Bitcoin in your hand is still there. Personally, I am more inclined to use extra funds to buy Bitcoin while meeting my own needs in life. I will not make me face a situation where I have to sell Bitcoin at a loss to make ends meet. This actually illustrates another point, which is the importance of incremental funds.

Re: When will its price start being stabilized?
by

on 06/09/2021, 09:37:47 UTC
My opinion is that when the price of Bitcoin is enough to anchor the value of all human assets in the world, the price of Bitcoin will be stable. But one problem with this view is that the price of Bitcoin is driven by purchase. Unless everyone exchanges all assets for Bitcoin, the total value of Bitcoin will always be less than the sum of human assets. I haven't figured it out yet.

Rather than saying that Bitcoin's bull market has returned, I am more inclined that Bitcoin's bull market has never left. The reasons for this bull market in Bitcoin have not changed. COVID-19 is still going on, and institutions are still buying Bitcoin.

Wait patiently for Bitcoin's price high instead of being frightened by a possible fall in September.

Re: Can Bitcoin become a true decentralized currency?
by
Jasper HODL
on 05/07/2021, 09:50:59 UTC
Bitcoin is an absolutely decentralized token. I once had the same question as you. If the price of Bitcoin can be easily controlled by whales, how can it be said that it is decentralized? In fact, the problem itself is wrong. Whales can affect the price of Bitcoin, but it is difficult to control the price of Bitcoin.

The price of Bitcoin is imposed on Bitcoin based on the legal currency standard, and the exchange rate is given to Bitcoin in order to facilitate transactions. However, Satoshi Nakamoto has never defined a price for Bitcoin, and it is not his inherent attribute that Bitcoin is equal to 30,000 US dollars. Putting aside the U.S. dollar to look at Bitcoin again, it is not controlled by anyone. His network is composed of miners and nodes. Everyone can become a miner and create a node. As a token, it is completely decentralized.

Re: Bitcoin Beach El Salvador - facts please ?
by
Jasper HODL
on 05/07/2021, 06:25:01 UTC
To be honest, El Salvador's announcement of Bitcoin as a fiat has no effect except for the residents of their country. In terms of price, the price of Bitcoin still fluctuates between US$30,000 and US$40,000, which is not even as big as Musk's Twitter. For miners, mines are more inclined to be established in places with a stable political environment, and El Salvador obviously does not meet the conditions. For this reason, El Salvador will not occupy a high hash rate.

However, El Salvador is a symbol, and Bitcoin can be used as a symbol of fiat. This is an important step in the development of Bitcoin, but it will not affect Bitcoin's position in today's world.
