Ok, and seriously...? 1 satoshi? Give me an F'ing break...  I believe in California Coin and in it's value.  1 satoshi is a joke.  If i can get it accepted at 200K for $20 (with Better Edibles, see previous post, and carrying dispensaries) it's value is 10K satoshis, so look at it like that... If it's only 2 Mil California coins for $20 worth of real world product then it's still 1000 satoshi.

This coin is wildly undervalued and has a massive future.

Ok.  Here's an update.

Those that have been here from the beginning know I've been working on this for a while...

I have a merchant, Better Edibles (marijuana edibles with a growing catalog), that is willing to accept California Coins for product (at 200K CAC-2 Mil CAC) for $20 worth of product on a promotional product.  This should add real world value but I've still to get a dispensary to work with us (working on it) since it is a medicinal marijuana product.  But imagine...   You mine 200K CAC and you can get product at a dispensary by sending it via smartphone....

Anyone one in the community have advice on the matter?

California born and raised. Live here now.  Rep it till I'm done...

Anyone remember this story about the guy that paid for a pizza using BTC and now it's worth $7,000,000
 http://i1.wp.com/newsworldtoday.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/f7e21__img0984small-1.jpg?w=620

Imagine if that happens to CAC

I'd be sitting pretty now lol

It's just crazy how this virtual money can turn real at any time and all it needs is a few good people behind the coin and obviously the dev is here supporting the coin making updates to the wallet as needed and if we the people tell our friends & they tell their friends, it will help California Coin achieve the recongition it needs much much quicker.

I really hope that guy gets his friend to accept California Coin in that medical marijuana dispensary. That would be a big start for this new coin.

Being "that guy", here's the latest update on that:  The vendors are onboard with accepting California Coin for their product on some items.  The next step is getting the dispensary owner(s) to get onboard with cryptocurrencies as a whole as they don't even accept BTC (or knew what it was before I introduced them to it).  So it's kind of a big step but not impossible.  I'm in the process of setting up a meeting(s) I can show them how easy a wallet is to use and how to convert it to fiat when they want or hold it for tax-free transactions.

Still working on it... Wink

So who won on swisscex?

We are still 5th which is pretty awesome we're beating out a lot of coins

If we are 5th at the moment then does that mean we didn't get chosen this round  Huh Huh

Swiiscex says that Twitpit was the winner but I don't think they were #1 so I'm not sure how the voting actually works.  Jackpot Coin has 15,000 + votes.  I think Twitpit was #4 (just a guess) but they still won.

wtf kinda voting scam does swisscex got going on!?

Just read their Voting Terms and Conditions.  Check out # 3 - copy-n-pasted here:

#3 SWISSCEX has the right to add any coin from the voting system, regardless of the number of votes or its ranking.

Soooo, what does that mean?  The votes really don't matter, right?  I mean they count but not for getting it on the exchange which I find a little shady... IMO

So all that BTC that the dev team sent in meant nothing. Time to get onto Cryptsy a real exchange.

Yeah, others in the community also donated to drive up the voting.  I sent in .045 BTC myself and I know Alysonsly (sorry if I got the name wrong) sent some as well.  I'm happy to drive California Coinup the ranks but I thought it actually counted to get us on the exchange.  ScotCoin was #1 and they were put on the exchange in the last round.

I just updated to the new wallet & the 21,000 or so CAC have become "unconfirmed"

what gives, ?
did the relaunch throw my hard earned coins into oblivion ?

Unfortunately, yes. I lost 4 million coins I solo mined in the first launch.
Took a week with 2 of my machines running it. I was super bummed and it does suck but you have to look forward, brother.
Mine it now while the difficulty is low. You should get those 21k coins back in a shorter time than it took you before.

Ok, I might need a little help or feedback from the California Coin community or the Dev on this one as it could potentially be a big deal for all of us:

I mentioned shortly after launch that I know some people that work at CA marijuana dispensaries here in Los Angeles.  I also know the owner of a marijuana  edible company that is currently trying to get product in new dispensaries.  What I'm trying to negotiate and it seems promising so far is to get them on board with California Coin in this way:  Certain of the edible products would be promotional loss leader products as in sold at a loss if the buyer uses California Coin's for the purchase.  I think this could be huge because it would give the coin real world value and raise awareness in that people that like edible would want to learn about California Coin to save on their purchases.  Also, something like this would almost definitely get California Coin some media attention which would only help our cause to become more mainstream. The dispensaries would accept and hold California Coin as an investment asset until they want to trade it for BTC then fiat. I think once a couple of dispensaries do it and it becomes a "thing" more dispensaries would start accepting it hopefully creating a domino effect.  Also California and marijuana share a long and well publicized relationship ie. Emerald Triangle, Humboldt, etc... so this could be an appropriate first step.

I think I can make this work but am asking for feedback in regards to how many coins would be enough incentive for the involved parties to take the risk.  I've already voted as many times as possible to get us on an exchange and have sent .045 BTC to swisscex to help make this happen.  I am dedicated to this coin and making it a success in what ever way I can.

PM me or reply in this thread

One merchant is all we need to create that domino affect man do what ever you can in your powers to make sure your buddies companies get on board with this coin. Just remind them about how high the gains were with BTC and anyone would get interested in holding onto a coin once it's so early the value only has one way to go and that's up.

The good news on this project of mine is that the vendor of the edibles is totally onboard but as it's a medicinal marijuana product it needs to be sold out of a dispensary.  So getting the actual merchant on board is the part I'm negotiating.  I feel like it's more than half way there.  I've suggested the vendor sell his product on consignment to minimize risk to the dispensary.  I'll keep you all updated.  It's in the works and brewing every day.  I'm on it. Wink

Guys we got over 1,000+ votes on https://www.swisscex.com/voting we are almost to the top!!!!!!!! In a week or two, I can't imagine how far this coin will be. I just have to say I'm glad I got in on the launch not only because mining is easier but because I love California and I always will. Loyal till the day I die California coin is going to go far once a few news articles pop up online who knows how far this can go.

I couldn't help myself.  Wink

Just got done with a double shift, got home and sent another .015 on to www.swisscex.com/voting buying us another 300 votes.  That puts us just ahead New York Coin.

I was born in Cali, grew up in Cali with a little time spent in elementary school and Jr. High in NY then went to live in Northern California and Southern CA for the past 25 years, so I feel for both coins but Cali is in my heart.  I support this coin and what it stands for in the world of Cryptocurrencies.

*BTW - To anyone else that's keeping count (besides myself, lol), that brings my total to .045 BTC donated to get us to where we're at.  Who else is gonna step up to rep Cali?  (Not being a dick, just reppin' proper for our state, lol)

(Hey, dev, any loyalty points for regular donators? Just wondering 'cause consider me in)  Grin

Bummer at the relauch -- I had about 3 million coins from the first launch.

Maybe I'll revisit this in the future but feel pretty burned by losing all those coins (and days of mining).

I understand it's for the best, so I wish you all luck Smiley

I understand completely, brother.  I lost 4 million coins I solo mined from the first launch.  I thought what a waste of time and electricity.  I thought I didn't want to be a part of it too.  Maybe it's Cali pride (born, raised and live here), or my interest in cryptocurrencies, but I figured it's always good to get in at a launch of a new coin (easiest to mine) and to hold them until it gains popularity and raises in price (short and long term, not quick dump to devalue).  I think California is so iconic that the coin won"t be able to not be noticed once a few merchants get onboard.  California is a one of a kind place and has an image world wide.  But, who knows maybe I'm wrong about all of that (still mining though Smiley).

Just my 2 cents since I went through something similar to you...

Almost @ 200 votes good job everybody we're making some true progress here !!!

i put 0.014 btc to get us up to 455 votes;)
That's so awesome!  I love you, Ashleysly, putting your BTC where your mouth is, lol. You know, it's only about $5 USD but the gesture is what counts and if enough if us band together as a community we can make a big difference.

I'll match you. Just syncing my BTC wallets right now, might be a bit since I have to head out to work but I will before the end of the day CA time and post here.  This is how we do it.   Grin

"I got 5 on it...." (you know the song).

I just sent .0141 BTC to match Ashleysly's donation.  Who else is in?

We'll be at a 1000 votes before the day is done. Smiley

*Added a few minutes later* - Up to 749 vote now...

lol so this guy pm'd me & wanted to trade .05 BTC for 100K cac what a fucking rip off man lol what's he think I'm stupid

Yeah, that's one of the most common scammer tactics. They offer to pay way, way more than something is worth and hope the person's greed ropes them in. Stay away... Definitely a scammer.

I don't think that was the scam.  As I understood it was that he, DakotaFred, was trying to selling his CAC for .05 BTC from MikeGAZ83, not the other way around. Not offering too much, he was asking too much.  Basically asking for ~$20 (5% of current BTC price) for his 100K CAC. It started with DakotaFred saying he had some CAC to sell a page back.

BTW, I lol'ed at "trying to sell his CAC" when reading it back. Grin
