Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage

Hi everybody. Silly question but I figured I have few SJCX with poloniex exchange. I'd like to do withdrawal but I am not sure how it works. Please correct me if I am wrong but the only thing I need is to send those coins to my bitcoin address and make sure I have private key right? Or does SJCX use different type of addresses like other alt coins?

Thanks for any help!
Wrong. You can't withdraw your SJCX because there isn't a SJCX wallet.

So I have to keep SJCX with Poloniex? For how long? Thanks for reply!

Re: New Mt Gox Press Release - Feb 10 - they are claiming flaw in bitcoin protocol !

I'm sure at this point they realize that but are going to "punish" the community (and by extension the core developers) by suspending withdrawals until it's fixed. As "trendy" as it is to blame Gox, there's enough blame to go around to both the developers and Gox. Mistakes on both sides that have cost many people a lot of money.

Oh, c'mon. Get over yourself. Bitcoin is risky. Lost money? Your problem. Bye

Open to large sale of up to 10BTC at .0025btc/xcp PM me your offers.

So few hours after burning was over we saw offers at 0.02 BTC. Now, we are at 0.0025 btc. Should we call this our first XCP market crash?  Grin

Hi Havelock,

just opened an account with you to participate on NEOBEE IPVO. Got one guestion. If for whatever reason anything happen with your exchange and it dissapears tomorow. How could I prove that I am the owner of NEOBEE shares? BitFunder has its assets list which is very transparent. I didn't find anything like that on your website.

Thanks for clarification a keep up the good work!

Such an asset list would also be a good addition to the Havelock site!

Each issuer has a unitholder list.  They know which user has which number of units.

Ok, but how do they identify me? Just by my login so I have to keep my login as safe as private key to my public adress at BitFunder? Didn't read anything about that on your website. How often is unitholder list updated?

They identify you by your email address.  They'll contact you if there is a need for a migration to another platform. It's updated in real-time.

Thanks. One more question. Don't you think, it would be much safer to run the same public asset list as BF does? Identifying just by email is pretty risky and less practicable. In case of public adress registration, issuer may pay dividends even if he is not able to identify/contact shareholder, which is great because if the shareholder does not know about havelock shut down or for whatever reason may not regularly check his email, he gets what belongs to him anyway. It could save a lot of trouble for both, shareholder and issuer. In my view, this should be standard in this industry.

That's a good question, looks like you'll just have to trust "on word" ...

PS: I also bought 1000 shares ...

I don't think it's just about trust. For example, when you are buying ASICMINER shares, you are registered somewhere as is written here on havelock website.

https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=AM1

Someone at ASICMINER actually know, that you own their stocks. I just don't understand the process, even after reading it  Smiley Anybody has a link or anything where I can learn more?

I personally think your best bet is just investing in BTC itself.
That is already risky enough and with that you are betting on the whole BTC community.
It's already fancy enough.

Yes, sure I know and I am invested. But there are some interesting startups anyway which I'd like to support and maybe earn a buck on the way..

I am speaking of this specifically https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=289730.0

Hi everyone, newbie here. Got one guestion. I'd like to buy some shares on Havelock but dont undertand security behind all this. If I buy shares of say ASICMINER, what will happen if Havelock for whatever reason disappears from net. Specifically, how do I prove, that I am the owner? I am sorry for posting it here but I am newbie and due to restriction I cannot post it anywhere else. Thanks for any help!
