Re: Ransomware Cerber Decryptor - Follow the coins
by

Have you reported this to authorities? I'm not familiar with any specifics, but hopefully there is somebody out there - either law enforcement or white hat hackers - who is compiling and maintaining a list of addresses like this to be monitored on an ongoing basis. I'd suggest looking into that.

I have not as I was not the victim of the crime.  I suggested that the small business report it to authorities, but I doubt local law enforcement will be able to do much about it.  They may pass it along to the fed, but a $600 crime will probably not land high on their radar.

I will check to see if anyone is compiling a list of transactions involved in ransomware crime.

Thanks

Ransomware Cerber Decryptor - Follow the coins
by
JayCoin
on 04/05/2016, 01:19:55 UTC
A local small business was infected with the ransomware, Cerber Decryptor.  I sent the coins for them and they were able to decrypt their files.  The address the coins were sent to was 14rKSWF7qQquUWHfmEHzCod71jB4SsVS6B

Beware if you receive coins that originate from this address as they are from a criminal activity.  If anyone can eventually identify these people or person, please turn them in to authorities.

Thanks

Why do I get a dust error when my output is 2500 Satoshis
by

trying to send a transaction with one 2500 satoshi  output (P2PKH), one P2PKH input and one op_return output with 2500 satoshi fee.  Won't send in sendrawtransaction RPC on bitcoin-qt 11.2.

Get "dust" error.  I thought the minimum output was much lower than 2500 satoshi.

Is this a bug or or something else? What am I missing?

using bitcoinjs-lib to build transaction.

The WIF private key is now shown directly below the addresses within the wallet.

Please print out, or import into another wallet.  Send transaction is not working at this time. Current wallet site will be going off line on Friday 3/7/2015.

There will still be a way to get private keys after Friday with your wallet key, but it involves writing a script and using my fork of bitcoinjs-lib https://github.com/p2pmining/bitcoinjs-lib

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Before I take it off line I will add an area under each address that will show the private key that can be imported into a standard client

Re: Google Cloud Blockchain Datastore

So this will just become the place lusers ask questions about the Google API?  Way over our heads...

I recently upgraded Chromium from some PPA and was asked to set the following:
export GOOGLE_API_KEY="api_key"
export GOOGLE_DEFAULT_CLIENT_ID="client_id"
export GOOGLE_DEFAULT_CLIENT_SECRET="client_secret"

I followed the instructions best I could, but am unable to "sign in to Chrome"  How can I debug this?

From an OS perspective I can locate the entries in /proc/`pidof chromeium`/enviornment and they are correct.

Is the API enabled in the google cloud dashboard? If so, disable it for about 30 seconds and then re-enable it.  I know it sounds dumb but it worked for me the first time I used the google API.

Google Cloud Blockchain Datastore
by
JayCoin
on 27/02/2015, 09:24:56 UTC
I am testing out a blockchain parser I wrote for the google cloud datastore.
It should query very fast once I optimize the query functions.
All pubkey hashes are indexed so it could be used to serve light wallets or it also could be used for commercial bitcoin or other blockchain uses.

Google datastore is expensive to do all the indexing and write ops($100 month  + $1500 to load up chain). I could write an API library and for a small fee, anyone could access it.

Is there any interest in something like this?

Still working on that.  The wallet currently doesn't grab the balances until the wallets tab is clicked.

By the way, Had to reboot server.  Will be a while until all the chains are caught up.
