Re: Punishment for ICO for being scammed.
by
Jeepney_koh
on 22/06/2018, 04:06:43 UTC
Is there any posible way to filter who are going to make an ICO to be able to know if there are scam or not? And is there any bodies of law that would be able to punish them once they turn into scam. And what punishment should be given upon committing such the crime?

That is the risks in the digital world. There are always people who will fool others just to get money in illegal ways because they know that their real identity is hidden and people would not trace them. Sadly, you cannot go after these people because you dont even know where to find them. Punishment, maybe just let karma comes to them.

Re: How much is everyone earning from bounties per month?
by

I was wondering, how much is everyone earning from bounties per month, feel free to leave your comments below, this topic was started out of pure curiosity.

I know for a fact that bounty hunters get paid in the altcoin currency they work for, whatever job they do.

Cashing out the altcoins they get is a pain in the a$$ though, mostly because when the ICO ends the altcoin gets listed on shitty exchanges.

How do you cash out altcoins, is it worth it to participate in bounty campaigns anymore?

Yes, bounty hunters are paid through tokens for the work being done and being paid right after the ICO ends. However, the earnings depend on your rank and the quality of your work in the campaign. As for me, I am earning 100$ a month in just doing bounty.

Re: Do you believe in ICO Ratings?
by
Jeepney_koh
on 19/06/2018, 03:25:49 UTC
I see many Websites that provide ratings for ongoing ICOs or for the future. Examples such as the ICObench.com Website, ICOrating.com and others.

Which is my question whether you believe in the rating provided by the website. Seeing many ICO's do not match what they value. Many ICOs are arguably good ratings but when the token sales of the project only reach softcap. And there are projects that I see have a fairly mediocre rating but their token sales reach hardcap. I took the example of Lalaworld on ICObench.com they get Rating 3.7 but their token is sold out.

So let's discuss ICO Rating!

If the website giving ICO rating is reputable, then I believe in it. There are many available website that are rating the ICOs and even recommend good ones. When I choose an ICO< i lok first in the ICO rating website like icobench and others to see if they are legit or not.

Hey guys, i want to know your opinin about - if there will be again dump and when is the best time to buy altcoins now?

Good topic, because the dump situation is now. Almost all altcoins are in red mark so this is the best time for you to buy altcoins because they are cheap right now. Then after that, you just hold and store your coins until the green mark appear again.

Re: 5904 banks frauds in 3 months in India
by

on 19/06/2018, 03:22:32 UTC
There have been 5904 bank frauds in India in first 3 months of 2018. Source CNBC TV18

The biggest bank fraud is Punjab National Bank (PNB) and billionaire Nirav Modi where PNB was scammed of $2,000,000,000 by Nirav Modi.

How is this for economics ??

India seems to be a big country and Indians are really good in terms of technology and economics and mathematics. However, people are becoming greedy because of money. They are now using their intelligence to get money in wrong way. Government should take action on this things. Its very alarming, the trust of the people and the investors as well.

Re: People move out from cryptocurrency!

I have heard from many people that there are many people to leave the cryptocurrency.

Is that right?
If  yes then what are the reason behind on it?
If no then why people spreading that kind of news regarding cryptocurrency?

Simply because many people had lose their hard earned money in crypto currency and became miserable. With that, they are now start spreading negative news about crypto. But maybe thats only small percentage. There are still many people doing crypto.

Hi guy

Are you still holding your altcoin?
Have you sold all your altcoin?
You are looking for oppertunity to buy more altcoin?
You are waiting for price to go up?
Which altcoin you are holding?

May I know what are your plans with your Altcoin in the future?

The market seems to be very unstable right now. All my coins are in red mark now. I do not plan to sell them, instead, I will just keep on holding them till the price recovered.

Dear all member
We are seeing the rise of the cryptocurrency market, the decline is over??  Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

But its declining again. It seems the market is going to its lowest. Bitcoin and other coins are almost in red mark. Since cryptos are really volatile, we can never predict when will they increase again. But after the rain, there's a sunshine waiting. Just keep holding your coins.

Re: How to protect your wallet from hackers
by
Jeepney_koh
on 08/06/2018, 02:15:11 UTC
This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.

I agree with your suggestions. Those are good ways to prevent your wallet to be hacked. As for me, first I bookmarked the wallet site. Then I store my private key somewhere that people cannot see. I dont open any sites that are suspicious and I stored anti-virus in my computer.

Hi everyone,

I really want to cry now. I joined translation campaign of MVL project and have 200 000 token. But when distribiuting it to me they mistake send it to someone wallet: 0xd5361F0f1a72B2129F26D814599041E62Ca8e2a7 MVL.
https://etherscan.io/address/0xd5361F0f1a72B2129F26D814599041E62Ca8e2a7
I found her usename here: https://i.imgur.com/Zd4knzI.png

You can see me as a translation here, my usename is zangleerb: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1axRAdqikQkv4vcSwRNhSytGNsfLZvQ_v0fALp_km3Q8/edit#gid=0

I don't know how can she faked me to give her wallet to them, i really sad. How can i get back my token? I work really hard and someone took all my result, you guys can't understand my feeling know. I hope you guys can give me an advice. Thank you so much.

That's saddening on your part. But I suggest you better contact the manager of the bounty or the project and ask why it happened. If the fault is in theri part, then you may appeal to give your token. But if the fault is in you, you must contact the person who receive the tokens and ask to give it back to you.

Re: What Do You Look for in a New Project?
by
Jeepney_koh
on 18/05/2018, 03:28:26 UTC
Title says it all. If you're looking to invest in an ICO or pre-ICO blockchain project, what's 1-2 attributes that are most important to you? Market size/potential? Management team? Technology that is distinctive? Strong white paper? Social media following? Other...

Aaaaaaaand go!

A successful project means a valuable coins. What I am looking for every ICO or projects are the following:
1. Strong community support. Admins or developers are very responsive to queries and they have strong sense of responsibility.
2. Clear and simple objectives. I look into their road map and see if they are clearly stated and achievable.
3. Promotion of the project. A popularity of a project makes it successful through good promotional activities.

Re: When will scam end
by
Jeepney_koh
on 18/05/2018, 03:23:36 UTC
Dear community, do you think it is worth waiting for payment and who will pay old debts. For four years I can not solve this problem after the closure of the IBM project. Gatehub, rippleteam and worldcommunitygrid send the answer to each other. How do you collect these scoundrels together, so that someone can return my XRP ? if this is real.

Until there are people who thinks of developing scammy things, scams wont end. Crimes never stops so as the scam. In crypto, scam projects or ICOs will never end because there are a lot of people out there who only think of collecting money and because of their greedy instincts.

According to you . if in the current time, what do you do when bitcoin decreases current price? do you sell or hold and buy bitcoin again?
and do you think that bitcoin prices will rise in the near future? give your opinion and your reasons whether bitcoin will rise or even drop drastically?

I buy bitcoin when the price drops because I believe that bitcoin easily grows or increases. If it increases, its really do in a very high percentage. Bitcoin will always be the highest valued coin and in the future it will just continue to be valuable.

Re: I do not believe ico anymore
by

on 17/05/2018, 02:59:57 UTC
i invested in 3 ico but they all make me uprooted.
1. ATFS
2. BEZOP
3. LEDU
and i think this ico causes bitcoin and etherium prices to drop.never trust again to ico.

That depends on what ICO yuo invested. I think those ICOs are also nice ones but the market is so large and beginners really need to invest in promotions and publicity to attract investors. What happened to your ICO? Did they reach the cap or not? Well, that is part of investing, you really have to take risks and accept the consequences.

Hi.

i didn't traded so much of my crypto for FIAT so i didn't dealt with that question yet.

however i think it's an issue need to be dealt with.

1. do you use accounting services?
2.if so, do you keep documentation of all traded or bought coins?
3. what do you do in cases of profit from ICO's

WHAT SHOULD I DO??

Situation depends on the country you reside. If you want an accurate and more reliable answer, I suggest you specify or tell your country. In my case, because I only encash minimum amount, I usually dont pay tax.

Re: KUcoin forcing KYC for every users
by

on 11/05/2018, 20:29:48 UTC
KUCoin has decided to force KYC for every of it's users.

Quote
In an attempt to remain as one of the most trustworthy and transparent exchanges in operation, KuCoin will start enforcing KYC checks on users. This measure is to ensure KuCoin remains compliant with the developing regulations in the crypto industry.

Forcing KYC was the one of the reason for once number one exchange Bitrex to move down to 7th position at current time.
KUCoin is not even in top 30. What will be the effect of such move be on the exchange and cryptocurrency overall?

https://news.kucoin.com/en/kucoin-will-enforce-kyc-for-users/

There will be a negtaive impact on Kucoin. They will have lesser users and these may affect their site as well. KYC is good but not for this moment because many users are still wanting some privacy over their informations. Investors also may find other exchanges aside from Kucoin.

The market has realized most of these coins are worth nothing and the promoters have no intention of developing the ecosystems

I also agree with that. There are many coins that have no market value as of now. They are not scam but they are not listed in exchanges as well. These coins may have good potentials but developers just abandoned them for maybe some reasons.

i have some bitcoins with me..any tips to invest them...dont want to spend them...should i invest in some ICO ??

If you want to make your coins or portfoilio grow, I would suggest better invest. Investing in listed coins is better because you already know that they have values and prices. These coins are already in trading system. However, if you want to make good profit, investing in ICOs is also good but be sure to choose the right ones.

It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.

Scammers are the biggest challenge in the crypto world. They are destroying the reputation and trust of people to ICOs. Many good ICOs are affected by these scammers because less and less people are investing in projects. These people behind these scam ICOs are psychologically disturbed and financially thirsty that they will do anything to easily get rich.
