Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins.
by

There are some promising altco that can yield more bitcoin. Find the right altcoin because there are tons of them out there.
It is also possible to track them from the exchange site itself. Have an opinion about the best exchange sites, bittrex and poloniex have been good to me so far
A long-term investment has more potential for growth, Ethereum seems to be doing so well.

Re: The price of bitcoin decreases

rise or fall will remain at the top of the bitcoin exchange market at this time last year compared to the current how much
down from $ 4,500 to $ 3,300, about 31% technically, investors still have a profit of 220% and concern about the correction.
Increasing or decreasing the value of bitcoin only receives and achieves bitcoin and we will see the value of bitcoin increasing again.

Re: What is Bitcoin mining?
by

on 09/09/2017, 06:26:37 UTC
if you've ever wondered where Bitcoin comes from and how it goes into circulation, the answer is that it gets "mined" into existence. Bitcoin mining serves to both add transactions to the block chain and to release new Bitcoin. The mining process involves compiling recent transactions into blocks and trying to solve a computationally difficult puzzle. The first participant who solves the puzzle gets to place the next block on the block chain and claim the rewards. The rewards incentivize mining and include both the transaction fees (paid to the miner in the form of Bitcoin) as well as the newly released Bitcoin.

I don't know about "shady", but they definitely have different priorities than the market, as can be seen by the price differential.
I'm curious to see how high it could go, I was one of those lazy people who didn't bother selling it off. I'd love to sell soon, before the inevitable crash back to reality, but it already has more life than I expected. Can it hang around as a decreasing percentage of ETH forever, while going up slowly?

What wallets should I use for mining? I recently started mining and I came across several videos that warn people to be careful about what wallets you use for mining. In fact they tell people to read the user agreement before you use a wallet. Here are two examples:
Jaxx
Jaxx gives the following warning to their users - No, Jaxx is a lightweight wallet that is not designed to receive mining payouts. We do not recommend pointing any mining rig payouts to Jaxx as it may cause issues on your end as well as potentially causing issues on our end.
CoinBase
CoinBase Give the following warning to their users - Please note that Coinbase cannot be used to receive ETH mining rewards.

Re: Proof of Stake Bitcoin?
by

Proof of Stake is a proposed alternative to Proof of Work. Like proof of work, proof of stake attempts to provide consensus and doublespend prevention (see "main" bitcointalk thread, and a Bounty Thread). Because creating forks is costless when you aren't burning an external resource Proof of Stake alone is considered to an unworkable consensus mechanism.

thanks for update Smiley
still good time for buying?
looking to invest some 8k USD right now

NP

Man it's hard to say...  Until the news comes out, it's gonna bleed a while, and no one likes watching that happen.

Maybe buy half what you plan to, then watch it for more dips, and buy into those a little more.  And if you start to see a lot of activity, buy immediately and hang on!
You're right, do not invest in a penny. to half for the other coin. The state of all downward trends, so be careful when investing

Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold?

"We see a lot of interesting models that  Bitcoins  and Gold are independent of each other," BitStamp CEO Nejc Kodrič said.  "If you look at both graphs, whenever gold goes up and  Bitcoin  decreases, Bitstamp them. I saw the amount of  Bitcoin  increase. People sell  Bitcoin  to buy gold. The reason for this, those people still look to gold as the oldest form of value. Gold is still a safe gateway for many Bitcoin users  . We are seeing more and more people realizing the complementarity between gold and  Bitcoin . " Bitstamp allows customers to receive gold when selling  Bitcoin .
