Re: Gold Is Yesterday, Here Comes Bitcoin As A Reserve Currency
by
Jeger
on 30/10/2017, 07:28:39 UTC
Strangely I do think that Bitcoin is really the future medium where we will store our asset, more like the digital gold of the world. Because Bitcoin is not a physical asset which means Bitcoin is physically impossible to destroy, or to be stolen. The practicality also comes in mind.

Re: What is the effect of Hard Fork for bitcoin?
by
Jeger
on 29/10/2017, 11:12:16 UTC
The effect? Bitcoin will probably rise in price since people are chasing the other forked coins or that Bitcoin is going to drop in value because people are uncertain whether the hard fork will destroy Bitcoin, makes it unsafe, etc. After the hardfork, miners are going to be able to change their mined coins if the other coins if more profitable.

Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin
by
Jeger
on 21/10/2017, 12:53:54 UTC
Now is the time to sell your bitcoins since people are dumping their altcoins for bitcoin because of the hard fork that will happen. I will suggest you to sell now and rebut later when people have done dumping their bitcoins for their altcoins back.

Re: What is the most attractive concept about Bitcoin?
by
Jeger
on 21/10/2017, 02:20:25 UTC
The decentralized system of Bitcoin, also the deflationary design of Bitcoin is what makes Bitcoin attractive.
The decentralized system enables us to control our own money, no one can block your money (not even the government) unless you have lost your wallet.
The deflationary system enables us to store our wealth in Bitcoin and you know that it will appreciated in long term.

Ehmmm, I was blacklisted for unknown reason even though I think I did not do anything wrong. I did not spent any of my coins, I have the correct signature up, I did not burst posting and I post some quality reply. Can someone explain me why? And can someone check my post to prove that I did nothing wrong?
Hey Jeger. I had a quick look at your recent posts and the only thing I can come up with is that your were excluded on the basis of post counts.
A lot seems to swing on when the airdrop occurred in relationship to your posts on October 13th (the date of the last Airdrop).
My comments are not an official response of course - I trust someone who can provide you definitive information will be along in short order.
In the meantime, I suggest you open a support ticket in the Community Forums at deeponion.org - that will ensure that you will receive an official reply if for some reason your request for a response gets missed here.
Hey fuzzyd, I was quite busy on work days, that is why I post mainly on weekend. I have opened a support ticket in the community forum as well, I hope this is just a mistake  Grin

Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?
by
Jeger
on 16/10/2017, 12:22:57 UTC
I think most people right now are using Bitcoin as an asset, they are expecting Bitcoin price to rise and if that happen then they will have more asset. I don't think Bitcoin is regularly used in real life, I would say that if someone is going to commit crime then they will use Monero or Dash or DO.

Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money?
by
Jeger
on 15/10/2017, 13:17:48 UTC
Nah, I would not say Bitcoin is the future of money but other coins might be. Why? Because a money needs to be produced without limit, since Bitcoin has a limit of 21 million coins then I can safely say that Bitcoin won't be the future of money but it will be the future gold.

Re: DON'T DO PANIC SELLING !!!
by
Jeger
on 15/10/2017, 10:11:38 UTC
I wish everyone are like this, if no one is panic selling and panic dumping then I believe we may hit $10k mark in a short time. These newbies investor are having a weak hand, they are afraid that they will lose their investment because of dropping Bitcoin price. WAKE UP! Bitcoin is designed to be deflationary which means over long term, it is going to increase in value. Keep HODLING.

Re: Are Bitcoins taxable?
by
Jeger
on 15/10/2017, 05:53:40 UTC
I think you will be taxed when you sell your Bitcoins for other fiat. For example you bought 100 Bitcoin at $5 each and now they are worth a total of $560,000 then you will be taxed capital gain of your Bitcoins if you happen to sell all of your Bitcoin stash, otherwise you won't be taxed.

Re: Bitcoin or gold?
by
Jeger
on 15/10/2017, 02:17:01 UTC
I will keep 75% in Bitcoin and the other 25% in Gold. Why? Because I truly believe in the future of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is going to be mass adopted in couple of decades and I can wait those couple of decades out. Bitcoin has limited number of coins, which means it will keep growing in value over long term growth just like how Gold is.

Re: Next 5 year for Bitcoin
by
Jeger
on 14/10/2017, 14:19:02 UTC
Well I do think that Bitcoin will grow substantially in the next 5 years because we are already growing at a good rate. Also more and more people and company are recognising and started to implementing Bitcoin in their life. There are more and more fintech company that is intergrating Blockchain technology each year, we are growing at a good rate.

Well actually blockchain is getting mass adoption right now by many big to medium companies because it is actually so useful. If you are saying about mass adoption of Bitcoin then I can assure you that it will be mass adopted in couple of decades but certainly not in these few years, it takes time to be accepted globally.

Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon?
by
Jeger
on 11/10/2017, 12:18:49 UTC
Yes I think so, Bitcoin will replace dollar in a few decades if things goes smoothly without any problem. If Bitcoin is really a currency, then it is the highest valued currency in the world right now. Unfortunately, many people are using Bitcoin as an asset, not as a currency this is what is holding Bitcoin back from becoming a real currency. So yes probably in couple of decades Bitcoin may replace Dollar.

Re: Is trading just educated guessing?
by
Jeger
on 10/10/2017, 13:00:48 UTC
I will say that trading is just an educated guessing game, it is like gambling. If you get into a coin perfectly when everyone is panicking, and you sold them when everyone is buying that particular coin, you will be guaranteed big gain overtime. Unfortunately we as humans can't guess when is the perfect time to buy something and when is the perfect time to sell something. So in the end it is just a gambling with a different name and cover.

Re: The future of the paper money
by
Jeger
on 09/10/2017, 14:42:37 UTC
I don't think that paper money will be used in the future anymore, since producing paper money is impacting our environment greatly, paper money can be faked (technically) while cryptocurrency is almost impossible to be faked on. Cryptocurrency is also a safer alternative to paper money. I think we will see this starting to be introduce in around 10-20 years because the community who doesn't understand the beauty of cryptocurrency will refuse it to be implemented.
In the future, there maybe a cryptocurrency that is going to replace our traditional stock.

Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ?
by
Jeger
on 09/10/2017, 13:13:29 UTC
Yes because now days you can't live without money, I mean do you rather be homeless and hope & pray for money or do you rather work your ass off and then retire happily and helps the other? Of course most of us would choose the latter one. For some people, money is above all things, but for a certain people, money is not above morale.

Re: Will bitcoin replace gold?
by
Jeger
on 09/10/2017, 13:04:38 UTC
Yes I think so, Bitcoin will replace gold in the future because of the advantages Bitcoin has.
Bitcoin is super safe, what I mean by safe is that if there is something happening to your country ex: conflicts, disasters, etc , this will not destroy your Bitcoins because it is digital. If you are going to sell your gold, you are an easy target for the robbers since they will know that you are bringing gold with you but not with Bitcoins. If you are practicing a safe Bitcoin transactions, there is a slim to zero chance that someone know you are carrying your Bitcoins to your local seller(?).

Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen?
by
Jeger
on 08/10/2017, 13:19:34 UTC
Theoretically, if no one spends Bitcoin then the price of Bitcoin will increase because of no one is spending Bitcoin for fiat or another currency. This will means the supply of Bitcoin in exchange getting more scarce and scarce each day which will drive the price up. Since Bitcoin is not a country's official currency, nothing will happen to the economic activity of any country, the only thing that will be affected is Bitcoin price.
