Re: Bounty needs KYC to receive reward?

Yes bounty manager  sometime put up the need for know your customer k. Y c to be able to detect the nationality and identify the customer so it important to be used in bounty
That is not their purpose. Their purpose is to know if a participant is using a multiple account in their campaign. It's not about the nationality. Do you have an experience joining in a bounty campaign? If a bounty requires KYC, for sure its a scam. Most of it are scam so beware of it.

Re: Don't Ask "Time To Buy" "HOLD or SELL" "Right time to entry"
by

Hello my name is Mobasher , This is my first post at Bitcointalk.org . I am new on this crypto planet . And searched google "The Best Forum for Cryto currency" and guess what found this awesome place. After entering my first board was "Bitcoin Discussion" ,  There i saw some repeatative questions and answers. Yes i am a newbie. But i have average knowledge about the market environment.

But i found some questions here like - (I am not saying these are too silly questions to ask)

Quote
Time to buy?
Quote
Token goes down. Wait or sell?
Quote
Hold or sell ?
Quote
What is the best time to enter the market ?

I think these questions got no real answers. If there is any regulated answer it has to be dependent on that situation. There is no exact time to enter market. No body could say this is the best time to enter the market. Yes you could gather information all around and detect the future by analyzing the token's characteristics. It is never past the point where it is possible to put effort and capital into cryptocurrency, in light of the fact that everybody comprehends that the development of cryptocurrency is inescapable. It is a long process.

Actually we all have knowledge about the market. But for mental stability and satisfaction we use these terms. To get releif .

BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY WE HEAR WHAT WE WANTED TO HEAR. THATS THE BOTTOM LINE.

After opening account i could not post here , i don't know why ? (May be the server was down) People stills fighting for Merit in the Meta thread i saw. How to get merits guys ? Can anyone help me ?

I really don't know why people asking these questions?

I mean, it is a decision of person when to enter the market. No specific time will tell you to buy or sell, it is your strategy. You must learn the market. You must create your own decision.

You want to get merit? Create quality post that is good to the eye of everybody. Don't create off topic post. Your post must have a sense. That way, you can acquire merit.

Re: Can bitcoin be sent, received or traded (used) without the internet?
by
JennetCK
on 03/10/2018, 22:50:41 UTC
I'm from Nigeria and as you all know, Nigeria is a developing country and when it comes to internet connections we're not there yet. I live in the city area but travelled to my village few days ago for an occasions. On the way, I got a call from a friend requesting to buy $550 worth of bitcoin, I tried sending the coins to his wallet (he's a regular buying so I already have his wallet) but the transaction refused to go through because their was no internet connection. When I finally got to my village the transaction went successfully because we had internet.

After this experience I thought about other remote villages in Nigeria and African countries that don't have the Internet 24hours if they were to use Bitcoin (cryptocurrency in general) for day to day transaction can this be done without the internet?

I tried searching the web but couldn't find any post that gives me a satisfying answer, so decided to contact forum user.

There is way to transfer bitcoin without the internet, using paper wallet. But, in that way, it will just take the transaction longer. What if your transaction is across the globe? Who would want to carry a sealed paper on a plane and to a certain person? It will just take longer. That is why there is internet, it will make the transaction faster.

Re: Can Bitcoin become currency a new State?
by
JennetCK
on 02/10/2018, 13:33:43 UTC
I think, a lot of us saw Bitcoin like tool for freedom. Now most people look at this like opportunity for enrichment. I don’t think that rich equals freedom. I know a many rich people’s. They are far from freedom.

It is now evident that just cryptocurrencies is not sufficient to achieve the goal. We need a State at our side. But current States seek to preserve the old order.

State it is a community with uniform rules. Territorial principle don’t need for creation of the State in the 21st century. So what do you think what's to stop us to come together and creation a new State now?
Use the word CO-EXIST. Bitcoin can never be a currency of a state or the world alone. Many countries are still depending on using fiat. If bitcoin will take over, the world will have to adjust and we don't know what will happen next. Co-exist is the right term. Bitcoin and fiat may be used as a currency around the world.

Re: Anyone with experience in bounty programs, any suggestions for a begginer?!

I would like to try myself in bounty programs, any advice how i find good BOUNTY, and how do i know the ICO has good bounty program and it is not scam? Thanks in advance.
I would like yo advise you that don't expect too much to get paid right on time. That is the first thing I learned in bounties.

If you want to find a good campaign, go to Marketplace(Altcoins) > Bounties. Check every thread which announces a bounty campaign. To find a good campaign, read always the white paper, check the team and the bounty manager. Scam? It cannot be guaranteed. Changes may happen.

Re: yobit.net Scam or not ?

on 28/09/2018, 20:09:44 UTC
Dear Friends.,

I recently checked this site and its offering freecoins. though its very small fraction but still they r free and all u have to do is to click on them and thats it..

But while using this site, the page takes alot of time to load which is not normal and also i want to know if anyone has withdraw funds after collecting all those bounties. i mean i don't want to waste my time there if one can't withdraw its amount

So i need to know if any of u guys have used it before and if yes, is it a scam or not ?
I remembered the days that yobit.net is giving away free coins, you just need to claim it one by one. This exchange site is not a scam, yobit has been good to us. Many active pair of trades can be seen here. Last year, the trade of every coin was active but somehow, the trade became slower than before. I trust this before but now, I am using hitbtc.com today.

You are very dedicated in crypto. You have my respect but you have made the wrong move. You should attended your graduation ceremony. Your investment can wait. You will be gone for hours only but your investment will not. A graduation ceremony is a once in a lifetime event, you should not skip it.

Within the last few hours, coinmarketcap have reach a new mile stone, coinmarketcap now keeps tracks of more than 2000 different crypto currencies, around 10 new coins was added just today.  Coinmarketcap now have 2003 crypto currencies.
Acceding to coinmarketcap historical snapshot there where 1055 coins around this date just a year ago. And 637 coins around this date two years ago.
https://coinmarketcap.com/

There can be more coins but not listed in coinmarketcap.com. Some coins, which do not reached the market cap is not listed in there. Most of them are projects that did not work and others are just shitcoins. Some are also in the market already but not in the coinmarketcap.com.

The price of bitcoin is red on the market so you want to do panic selling?
Trust me, if you get scared today and sell your bitcoins, and the market gets better tomorrow, what happens?

You cannot eat your cake and have it back.
That's what is happening to panic sellers. Well, we cannot told them what to do even you boost their courage. In this situation, decision of a person will always comes first but the thing is, you will regret it in the end. We cannot blame them, they are just afraid of losing. In this world, you must understand that losing is normal.

Re: For Bounty Hunters (Do You Have Time to Read the ICO Whitepaper?
by

on 24/09/2018, 21:18:38 UTC
I always read the white paper of a campaign I wanna join. It is important for us to read it. To avoid getting scam and to know if your doing something rather than nothing. I also check the road map and the team of the project. But the white paper is the most important whatever its meaning in Wikipedia. The content of it is the most important.

Re: LIKE IT OR NOT, BITCOIN IS AN INVESTMENT
by
JennetCK
on 24/09/2018, 21:01:05 UTC
In my own opinion, buying bitcoin is an investment. Why do I say that? It is because you bought a thing that you know you can earn more money from it. You watch it how it works and how it grows. It is like a plant, you're investing your time. You're watching the plant grow and it makes you happy. Like bitcoin, you're watching the price of it goes up and it makes you feel good.

Re: Bounty needs KYC to receive reward?
by
JennetCK
on 16/09/2018, 15:47:55 UTC
I've been in the bounties in this past few weeks in order to do something in order to have some earnings in my free time, probably to join a signature campaign since it's doesn't required a full time to do it and you hold your own time to complete the tasks needed by the campaign.

After hovering for a couple of page there's one campaign that gets my attention because of its presentation and the concept and solutions of their project to the existing problem (Whitepaper) so to make it short it's a legitimate project, after reading the thread there's a note stated that "Campaign requires KYC." well i'm not from the US but this concerns me, for what I've known a KYC stands for "Know your CUSTOMER" so basically it's for the investors or the customer of the certain project.

According to Wikipedia a "Know your customer is the process of a business verifying the identity of its clients and assessing potential risks of illegal intentions for the business relationship. The term is also used to refer to the bank regulations and anti-money laundering regulations which govern these activities."

In my understanding a KYC is a document needed in order to know the credibility of a certain person (investor) if the money they going to invest came from illegal works, money laundering and also to know the status of a person if he/she is has a criminal records for the certain country, etc. but in this case it's required in order to get the rewards.

As a bounty hunter and a fellow forum user this concerns me. Giving personal details to anyone on the internet is VERY DANGEROUS in today's era we can't live without using technologies including online banking, etc. it means they can use your personal datas in order to do illegal works and the likes, but let me give you the advantages and disadvantages of it (According to my own perspective) why they're requiring users to pass KYC documents in doing bounty works.

Reasons:
- To control spam
- To avoid users who uses multiple accounts
- To avoid cheaters
- To avoid abusers
- To get personal infos and used to illegal works (It might be right?)

Effects: (For bounty hunters)
- Risk

Summary:
There are different possible reasons why the project requires the users to submit KYC documents. Probably a good reason or a bad reason but no matter what sending a personal documents or a personal valid ID is very risk for the users.

Solutions:
There are some ways in order to avoid risk in sending personal details/KYC to bounty campaigns
- Review the project
- Read every technical details
- Review each team member
- If the projects seems unprofessional it's a scam

but the safest way is not to send any information of yourself on the internet.

Disclaimer: All of the statement, solutions, etc. above are according to my observations, opinions and perspective on the said topic it might be right to others or wrong to others. This section might be wrong (I don't know where to post, maybe in meta? please correct me.) but I posted here because most of the bounty hunters are wandering in this section.
This article is so true. For my own opinion and also, based on my experience, bounty hunters DON'T NEED to submit any document or identification to join a campaign. What is the point?

Reasons:
- To control spam
- To avoid users who uses multiple accounts
- To avoid cheaters
- To avoid abusers
- To get personal infos and used to illegal works (It might be right?)

For this one? The bounty manager can control this. KYC is for investors not for bounty participants.

Re: Hacked wallet
by

on 14/09/2018, 22:05:19 UTC
Nowadays people complain about their account being hacked
We need experts here to give us some tips on how a wallet can be secured from being hacked
Your submissions will be welcome
Cheers!
I experience this before. Way back 2017. I got my first bounty reward, I really don't remember the name of the project but I think that was Loci. That was my first campaign and they really paid the bounty participants. That time, the price of the coin is really good, and the market is good also. When it entered my wallet, it was transferred to another wallet at the same time. Looks like someone is watching my wallet.

Hello. Do you think they have chance to bounce back again ETH this year or not? Poll and thoughts now.
Maybe no. I don't know, it is hard to predict. Cardano is rising and for sure, by the end of the year, XRP will beat ETH. It has the technology and capability to surpass it. Although ETH has a great promise, but I am thinking that Cardano will really surpass ETH and I believe that.

Re: The era of bounty hunter comes to an edd?
by
JennetCK
on 14/09/2018, 20:50:10 UTC
Many people live there life as a bounty hunter. They were making some good money by just doing bounty campaigns. But good days are coming to an end. Now almost 80% campaign is scamming. They are not paying a single coin. So the golden days of bounty hunters are coming to an end  Sad
What do you think?
It is just your strategy to select a bounty campaign you will participate. First, make sure the project is good and can attract more investors. Check the white paper, road map and the team. If they are serious, they will select a bounty campaign that has a good reputation. Bounty campaign with a good manager can attract more participants. If more participants will advertise their project, success is the next step.

Re: Cardano will replace ETH!

The CEO of Cardano has an obsession to put ETH into the gutter!

https://ambcrypto.com/cardano-ada-is-planning-to-replace-ethereum-eth-marlowe-to-take-over/

Cardano has the technology and capabilities to destroy ETH and some other coins in the top 20: Make no mistake Cardano is a giant slayer!
I agree with you. It will replace ETH by the end of the year for sure. It has the technology and the capability to surpass ETH and that is no joke. So right now, invest in Cardano and for sure, you will get more profit in the future. It will be the greatest coin.

Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence
by
JennetCK
on 14/09/2018, 20:21:01 UTC
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.
That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. KYC in Airdrops. Many airdrops today is asking participants to submit their identification, what's the sense of it? They're not giving a damn free token/coin. It is not part of the investment so why KYC applies? I don't get the point. If you ever saw an airdrop and requires it, leave it, there is no point on doing this.

Re: What happen if the token or coin does not get into the market?
by
JennetCK
on 13/09/2018, 20:44:39 UTC
I have some coins and token in my wallet and for some time now no news about the platform or coin. What happen if after we all struggle to support ICOs through the different media and beyond even our capacity and the token does not get into the market or what is paid to you as reward for your support is something that is almost as good as nothing, what do you do in such cases? Is there anyway to remove such coins from your wallets? Personally I did some airdrop when I heard they were good but my rewards are so little that I wish there is a way I can delete it out of my wallet.
So meaning, you received your tokens from an airdrop. We have the same and I think all of us have the same experience. Some project are not successful that is why their token/coin don't have the chance to get listed in the market. Possible reason are lack of investors, the team is not working so hard to make the project success. The platform is not good to attract investors.

Re: Be careful with fake exchanges
by
JennetCK
on 13/09/2018, 20:15:29 UTC
For those of you traders, please be careful with fake exchanges, because I found a VERY SAME exchange that makes no difference at all like the exchange on EtherDelta, the fake exchange link that I saw I got from my Gmail inbox, which message it was contains about giving tokens like AIRDROP, and there I am given a registration form link and in the form there is a fake EtherDelta link, and this is the link http://EtherDelta.website, and this is the original EtherDelta link https://etherdelta.com/. There is no difference at all in the two exchanges, the images, features and others are exactly the same, so please be careful.

Secure your private key, secure your wallet, do not easily believe things that invite you to get rich instantly, do not easily trust advertisements, because crime is not just at one door, who knows there are many other fake exchanges, therefore be careful.
At the beginning, you must thought about it that there is an exchange like that. http://EtherDelta.website, you can notice that it is not even a legal website. You know the link of etherdelta. To be safe, I go to coinmarketcap.com and check where the coin is listed in the market tab. By that, you can be so sure where do you sell your coins.
