I'll consider reasonable offers, please PM me if you have a proposal.  This isn't too far off the actual cost of components though.

[WTS] 6 GPU Mining Rig (Geforce 1080 Ti). 4U form factor.

Hi everyone!  I'm looking to sell a mining rig.  It's almost new - my personal circumstances have just changed and I don't have the greatest place to keep this.  You get the advantage of a rig that's already fully put together and ready to mine - no fiddling with bios or anything else unless you want to!  Here's some pics of it in action:

With the shortage of video cards today, this is a great way to get up and mining FAST.

Images here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/msewell-public-images/miner-open.png
https://s3.amazonaws.com/msewell-public-images/miner-side.png

Specs:

6 Geforce 1080 TI GPUs
4U Form Factor
Dual PSU
Intel® Pentium® G4620 3.7GHz, 3MB CPU
MSI Pro Solution Intel Z170A LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (Z170A SLI Plus)
240GB SSD HD
8GB Ram
4U form factor - perfect if you've got extra space in a colo somewhere.  That was my original plan for the machine.
Amazing Noctua fans to keep temperatures reasonable.

I get 191 Mh/s using Claymore when mining Ethereum, and it dual-mines Sia at about 7500 Mh/s.

Also great for Zcash mining!  Around 4,300 sols when using all 6 cards.

I have *not* overclocked anything or otherwise adjusted the hardware or bios, other than to make 6 cards work in the first place.  It's extremely likely you could juice more speed out of this with a bit of effort.

Asking $6,500 USD, +whatever this costs to ship (it's heavy - exact cost determined once buyer address is given). Payment accepted via paypal, or any of BTC, ETH, XMR at current market rates.  Please PM me with your interest!

I never got any confirmation, but my coin arrived today.

Size is around 1.5 inches in diameter.  Good weight, appearance is gold rather than the silver the picture on the website indicates.  (I think gold looks better, was just surprised).

High quality, item received 5 days after placing the order.  These guys are legit, and it's a fun coin to have.

Yes, the buyer gets exclusive full rights and ownership.  You'd be the only person able to develop games with it, sell or license further rights, etc.

Wanted to jump in here and mention our angel investor fund at Bitcoin Venture Capital. We already have some interesting startups underway and are committed to bringing more websites to market that offer goods and services for BTC.

Your website is down.

Social Gaming Engine for Sale [10k/month or more income potential!]

This is probably too large of a deal for anyone in here to bite, but figured it's worth a try.  We're also pursing options elsewhere.

I'm a cofounder of Metaspace Studios, a social game developer.  (For this discussion, Social Games means games that run on Facebook/Hi5/other social networks), and we're looking to sell a game engine. (Full source code and rights)

We've created an engine that makes very rapid development of text-RPGs like Mafia Wars possible.  It's low maintenance, feature rich, and makes it possible to create games with different themes and some different features in as short as 1 month (that's how long it took us to build our last game, City Police Department, with code changes.  With no code changes, two weeks tops)

Depending on the game, these can be extremely profitable.  One game using the engine (City Fire Department) generates over 8k per month, with around 10K Daily Active Users.  The game is sitting on a single server and takes around 1 mbit of bandwidth to sustain, so hosting costs for games on this engine are extremely low as well.

So why are we looking at selling?  Our team is very small and having a hard time keeping up with content creation, it's taking more time than we'd like away from other projects.  We're also strategy gamers at heart, and while this model is simple and profitable, we're looking to focus our attentions on richer games.  If we can find the right buyer this will allow us to push forward with our other plans.

You can use this engine to build your own games, or license it out to other people and get residual income that way.  This is actually the model we tried to roll with for a while, but we don't have the connections or time to go find clients.  I'm sure there are people in here who can.

The engine has a full admin interface.  Creating a new game is literally as easy as uploading images, entering in jobs, items, descriptions and a few other things, and pressing go.  You can make code changes of course (several of our games have some unique features), and there's an easy system to keep track of which games get which features too.

For more information, please visit http://metaspacestudios.com/ and http://metaspacestudios.com/horizon.html to get a better idea of what we're talking about.  You'd be purchasing the engine and sole rights to it.

The asking price is negotiable, but we're shooting for around 4200 BTC or the equivalent in USD.  This engine represents many months of hard work and refinement, has already been stress-tested and , and has a proven revenue model so in the right hands you'd be able to recoup your investment fairly quickly.

If you're interested please PM me and we'll go from there, or post questions in here.  Thanks!

That applies for almost any kind of laptop mining.  Out of curiosity I tried running a GPU miner on my Alienware and it got way too hot for comfort quickly so I shut it down.

Re: How to attract late adopter ?
by

I think one of the biggest barriers to entry right now is that business don't feel comfortable accepting a currency that's so volatile and which they can't cash out immediately.  I'm a relative newcomer to bitcoin and own an online gaming business.  We're looking into bitcoin adoption, but one of the trickiest things is how to to do pricing when the value of bitcoin is still tied to the USD.  Until more places have stable bitcoin prices, merchants will be hesitant to set stable bitcoin prices.

A bit of chicken-and-egg, but there it is.

Re: ZenCart, BitCoin and RPC information - where to obtain????
by
Jerle
on 28/06/2011, 05:55:26 UTC
I installed ZenCart module in my e-Shoppe to accept BitCoin Currency for our product. Now I need to enter RPC information, such as name, host:port and password. Where do  i get all that?! I can't find information about it anywhere. Forums send me to WIKI and WIKI was nothing, absolutely nothing about where to register and where to obtain those credentials for my e-Shoppe.

Can anyone please explain the situation and possible solution please? Thank you.

Did you install https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Zen_Cart_Bitcoin_Payment_Module ?  There's a howto at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Merchant_Howto
