Bitcoin is considered the king of cryptocurrency and I doubt there will be any coin that will replace it. And regarding bitcoin being the only global currency is absurd because I doubt this will ever happen the most likely and good scenario is the co-existence of fiat and cryptocurrency.

I think that many governments might have secretly invested in Bitcoin. The FOMO aspect of it must have compelled them and they don't want it to be mainstream, so they are hiding the fact that Bitcoin is actually important to the economy.

In a way we are still early adopters. The world has not embraced cryptocurrency as a whole. It expected to have mainstream acceptance in the very near future.

A good point was made regarding copper. It took 3 years just to get copper approved by the ETF. In this case ETFs approval could take years for Bitcoin.

All the governments accepting cryptos will lead to more adoption of the cryptos. This will provide the users of cryptoscurrencies easy accessibility to their needs through the decentralized portals.

Well you can always use some exchanges. Also people don't like localbitcoins.com because they need you to provide KYC, if you don't mind giving it, you can try that.

Re: Can Bitcoin and FIAT co-exist? What will be the advantages then?
by
Jeroiswen
on 20/10/2018, 16:36:24 UTC
A future without fiat currency is simply unlikely to happen as governments will strongly oppose this. This leaves the only option: coexistence. And the way I see it, it is very much happening in near future. Bitcoin will be matured once the mining ia done, and will reach a very high stable price. Bitcoin is a complement of crypto currency, it has come up with everything fiat couldn't do.

Re: How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding.
by
Jeroiswen
on 19/10/2018, 20:39:15 UTC
Rebranding is not even an option here, rebranding will completely erase the popularity and oomph of bitcoin altogether. Still people will bash down bitcoin no matter what, so solving the existing problem may stop the bullying a bit but haters will always be there to put you down. So the think tank behind Bitcoin should ignore this kind of foul criticism and do what they do best and make it a new world currency,
