Re: Solar-Powered Mobile Bitcoin Mining Units:My Idea
by

on 20/02/2024, 23:54:05 UTC
My idea is specifically targeted for the African market with poor electricity, low irrigation activities, and the least financial inclusion.
[/quote]
Gridless did something similar in the past [minus the irrigation part] and it was somewhat successful in raising a good amount of funds... I like both of your products, but I think putting your resources into the mining part would yield better results than if you were to launch both of these products.

Thank you for your take. Gridless and Trojan are some of the early startups on the continent. However, Lean budget spending and proper channeling of funds are important.

Solar-Powered Mobile Bitcoin Mining Units:My Idea
by
Jerryzack2
on 20/02/2024, 15:08:50 UTC
As an electrical engineer who has been in the crypto space, this idea crossed my mind:

Build mobile mining units equipped with solar panels and batteries that can be deployed to remote locations or rural areas with abundant sunlight. Offer these units as a service to Bitcoin miners looking to decentralize their operations and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. provide power for house holds and also provide mobile solar-powered irrigation systems. Two products: one supports bitcoin mining and the other(irrigation) does not; however, both have incentives in some redeemable green energy credits.

My idea is specifically targeted for the African market with poor electricity, low irrigation activities, and the least financial inclusion.

The aim of this idea is to:
  • Promote green mining
  • provide electricity for house holds
  • support irrigation activities
  • and also support Bitcoin decentralization

Your inputs and criticism are welcome.
Thanks

Re: How much power does Elon still have over the crypto markets?
by

pumping shitcoins is super easy. there are also a lot of pumping groups who are waiting for any excuse to pump these low shitcoins because the real profit is as it has always been in pump and dumping shitcoins. that is why we saw such a mssive DOGE pump when they had the "excuse" to pump it.

as for bitcoin, it was not Elon who crashed bitcoin. there were A LOT of reasons why bitcoin crashed. and since you are new i have to tell you that such crashes are very common during the bitcoin bull runs.

- the main reason was that bitcoin had gone up too much and too fast with only small corrections so it needed a "pause" before it co uld rise big again.
- the other reason was because the $65k-$70k prices were too hard to reach and after a couple of attempts they didn't break. so the correction starteed.
- the other reason which contributed a lot was a huge FUD campaign that fooled newcomes into selling their bitcoin by scaring them into thinking: bitcoin's energy consumption is huge (lie), some countries including China are banning bitcoin (another lie), FBI hacked bitcoin (another huge lie), and a lot of crap like that which they used to  keep it down this low.

yet people only see the "celebrity" and associate everything with them!!!
I absolutely agree with what you said. Celebrity or a country's influence will not cause such a price fall, Bitcoin is just reacting to market forces.
I don't get why people are quick to attribute bitcoin price to myths as if it's a stable coin.

Re: How to get news about crypto as soon as possibile

He might not be asking for a news website just to panic. Sometimes you just need to be informed to stay on top of your trading game especially in a highly volatile market like crypto markets. Getting information as soon as it gets out would help to close trades faster especially if it's news that can turn the market direction downwards.
Absolutely! I think that is what he is looking for. He mentioned live streaming, which means, something to stay ahead in the game.

I've used cryptopanic in the past and it's one of the fastest and up-to-date media site for crypto news. I don't know about others you mentioned but I think cryptopanic should do the trick for OP since they aggregate news for several success into one central place.

No matter what website you follow to get the newest news, you need to calm down and not panic to see if that news can impact the market soon or just to announce something.

Re: Where to find partners/investors?
by

on 30/05/2021, 18:03:25 UTC
So basically i am collaborating on a project that has enough community support, but not enough funding.

There could be an ICO sale and it would be easy to raise the funds, but we would prefer to raise privately, from well funded investors who can provide additional capital in terms of locking liquidity.

But where does one find those "investors"? Any suggestions?
It's hard to get investors to commit funds to an idea. If you need investors first get your MVP ready and have a strong team then, you can think of looking for investors.

Hi,

I'm actually here to launch a project. I would like to know which role you're trying to fill.

Right now I have partnered with a strong CTO, our platform is 100% content creation based. I am not releasing the name of the project yet, but we are looking to build a community which will run our nodes.

Eventually we will need a content creation expert as well.
Can you tell me more about the project? I create professional content for Blockchain projects.

Re: I want start a social network but somethings holding me back

You may raise some funds from your friends & family and then hire some experienced programmers locally to build a prototype or jump in to learn the programming languages you prefer to use in your project...
instead of doing that, he can also share his idea here and if it's really good then someone might be able to work on it. or as an alternative, he can learn about it on his own.
This will not be as easy as you may be thinking.
OP doesn't know to code nor has a team and also don't have a prototype. And also the entrepreneurs should have some own fund to start.

Peoples here are very skeptical and more likely will not invest in a project which is just in an IDEA stage.
That's why I said what I said above and that will be the easiest way to start. If Op can develop a prototype and can show a strong team then there could be a chance of getting investors otherwise not.

It's not 2015-2017 anymore where every ICO got funded, it's 2019 now and people learned their lessons from their past mistakes and now became skeptical.

Though it will be a different case if a coder wants to team up with OP and give life to the idea.

Will it be a good idea if I can share the idea here? Maybe it will interest the community or some developers to get involve.

Creating a new social network is like launching a rocket into space, it's a very complex project that requires a team of professionals, and if you don't even have experience with programming, how are you going to manage your hypothetical product? It's good to have ambitions, but if you have such a giant goals, you have to either become realistic and give them up, or devote your whole life to achieving them.
Programming knowledge doesm't matter here, it's more like marketing because nowdays it's pretty easy to create facebook like website, even that would be very shit because you need your own CMS (if we talk about project that wants to achieve anything good in future), huge work on security, a team of professionals and etc. You have to control every content, scan uploaded videos with their id to get rid of copyright issues and so on, this is just basic of what facebook has and this requires huge resources which costs millions + need a team of professionals but still, If you want to achieve something, it's almost impossible on global market because of natural monopoly. Facebook/twitter are most widely used, everything has it's time, it would be easier 10 years ago but now? Still don't understand what do these people think when they have such ambitions. Be crazy in your dreams, that's great but at least be a little realistic, there are dreams which will stay dreams forever. Don't wanted to repost here again but can't understand why realizing of all above things seem so difficult for people.
The idea is not to create a facebook like website. The cost a getting a developer and to have a prototype is the challenge. Thanks for your response

I have a social network project I had started working on, but never launched it because of a change in Facebook Groups. I have most of the development work done. Contact me on telegram yogeshko or I am on skype Bizteon. My company Bizteon is a Houston Texas based premier IBM Business Partner. So the technology side I can handle.
I will greatly appreciate it if you can sent me a pm. I tried but could not get across to you on telegram. Here is my username: @jerryzack https://t.me/Jerryzack

You don't need a big understanding of programming to be able to create a social media platform. There are lot of options out there for users to chase their dreams. ICO's, crowdfunding, and investors all exist for a reason and don't be scared to use them.

Here's an idea. Create a pitch deck. Put all these ideas you have for the next big social media platform onto paper, add budgeting, how will development work and a timeline. Then go talk to some venture funds, investors or even hold a crowdsale for it. An idea isn't valuable unless there is work put behind it.

Good luck!
Thanks for your response. How do one go about an ICO starting from the white paper?

I have this burning desire for starting a social network but I lack the programming skills to achieve it. sometimes just wishing I had the money to hire the programmers to help me realize the project. Most times i have noticed the rate at which crypto-blockchain projects are failing recently is alarming, seeing that most are focused on delivering the latest cutting edge and must complex solutions, which is a good one in my view.

On a serious note I'm absolutely convinced that usability is the way to go with simplicity as it focus, rather than multiplicity of features not needed at the infancy of a project. Driving a good user base at starting is very good for growth.

Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency
by

on 19/10/2018, 07:00:58 UTC
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.
Fiat will not be eliminated, the still have their value and in a way compliment cryptocurrency. Projects like Mfchain are build to bring mass adoption of cryptocurrency to the people by tackling the problem of volatility, charge backs while, providing inter-blockchain connectivity. Fiat currency stills compliment projects like this, making a real life balance.

Re: Do we need blockchain technology?
by
Jerryzack2
on 19/10/2018, 06:46:45 UTC
Hello everyone.

When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.

Please enlighten me.

We need blockchain if you can clearly see the beauty of the distributed ledger technology  in action. The problem is, we are having so many ICOs and projects simply build with the aim of getting to exchange and not focused on usability or product delivery. If we have the top100 fortune companies and some governments deploying blockchain, I think their must be something unique about blockchain. The success of a project like Mfchain will make people appreciate blockchain even more, seeing the mass adoption and solution based approach Mfchain is bringing to finance and payments. We need projects that will deliver value and bring blockchain to the people.

That comparison chart to other projects highlights the features offered by modern finance chain very well. I remember back at few months ago when it was first planned to go to public. That time hype about it and all the potential and mentioning of that time still is valid and very much intact. We need more quality platform to compete with one another to provide us quality services from their race to perform more better.
Mfchain is still on cause looking at their active community, investors interest and project road map. Any project that wants to compete with Mfchain has a serous work to do, the current ongoing ICO is the best opportunity to get Mfx tokens.

Re: Why People Choose Cryptocurrency?

Why People Choose Cryptocurrency? Any Need?
We are into commodity trading, and we are building a platform which will support the trade of commodities with cryptos. We are trying  to make commodity trading very easy
That's why New Zone choose cryptocurrency world. It opens up a whole new avenues for everyone.

People use cryptocurrency because of the decentralization, and transparency you get within the crypto space. Others like it since presents easy task and ways to make money, while the smart ones are in it for the value blockchain holds in the long run, seeing the mass adoption strategy been brought about by projects such as mfchain, you will want to hold such coins for a longtime. I think most people also chose crypto because of the ease of transaction you get within the digital economy.

Re: What thing you much check before investing in an ICO?
by
Jerryzack2
on 18/10/2018, 10:10:39 UTC
Now I am focusing to invest in ICOs. As a regular bounty hunter, I can realize which ICO is good and which is bad. Because I follow the most trustful ICO rating website Icobench, I have enough time to read project's whitepaper and look after at their community activity. But recently I realized Icobench's rating is not everything! I want to mention some ICOs name that had an impressive positive rating! But they couldn't raise even 1 Million USD! A project like FTEC, Enkidu can be a good example. What is the reason here?

When you invest in ICOs, what thing you take seriously?
Because a project didn't raise enough money does not mean it's fake or scam, it could be bad marketing or lack of expertise within their team. The team behind every project is very important, they determine the outcome and all possibilities within the project. Mfchain is one project I have seen with an excellent team, making it worthy of investment. Checking up profiles and track record of a projects team members will help in making good investment decision.
