Wonder if they actually developed a scrypt asic. I made the mistake of paying them for 1x 250mh/s unit with Bitcoin Sad Probably going to say Goodbye to that 5k.

All of the pools offer pretty much similar infrastructure and features. It just really comes downt o preference. Maybe if pools offered a chat, that would make me switch

Re: BTC-E Account All Coins Stolen
by

This happened to me on BTC-E a few months ago too.

Must be very careful with using that exchange. I got the IPs of the people who stole mine and they were baised in ukraine.

I never use BTC-e anymore because of this. Also its pretty funny that after I log into the hacked account. The hackers log into it a few minutes later (probably to check if I deposited more funds) lol Happened twice but stopped now

I think advertising on the site is done directly through relationships, and I bet its really expensive

Its coming but i suspect as the GPU's become useless, they will switch to more ASIC resistant coins and start pumping those

Re: how to know how long it will take to complete a block?
by
JesseCoin
on 30/03/2014, 00:09:36 UTC
Take the current target and divide by 115792089237316195423570985008687907853269984665640564039457584007913129639935.

That number represents the probability of any given hash solving a block.

You now have a very standard binomial probability problem where n represents the number of hashes your hardware is capable of generating over the amount of time you're considering.

If you call the above calculated number P, then the probability of producing a hash that qualifies for the target difficulty after n hashes is going to be 1 - (1-P)^n

Thanks for this
