We officially announce that Dylan Sharkey has joined Bitcoinus team as an advisor! Dylan is a former LinkedIn Executive who led the phenomenal growth of the company in the MENA region. Bitcoinus believe this will be a successful co-operation towards crypto payment processing innovation!

It is good to see that you have a strong team of advisors, I'm sure Dylan will bring a lot of value to the team.

I would vouch for ZCASH and Monero. Could also be something good out of PIVX, but not too sure about them

Re: Problems you face in the crypto space

Its not a "problem" persay but I hate having to have accounts on 6 different exchanges to buy the coins I want and having to move coins all the damn time around from exchange to wallet to another exchange back to wallet to exchange.. anyways.. I can't wait for loopring and other decentralized protocols to be released mainstream so I can just trade directly from my wallet using smart contracts.. is just a pain keeping up with the flow of things when its all over the place in different amounts.  As far as actual problems go.. I'd say the the biggest problem in crypto right now is shilling and pump and dumps.. the whole mccaffee movement in December may take months to get over considering how much people got rekt and how irresponsible alt coin investments really got. So many alt coins are overvaluated with no working product and all the investors are bag hodling and wanting out at any level of profit.. so the cycle of pump and dumping continues.

Is this not why you got into it in the first place?  Tongue
I mean, if you want no volatility, go to a stock market

Smart guy, I wish my boyfriend would be like that! Smiley
Seriously, than more publicity like this crypto gets, than better it is, but it's a very complicated and not user-friendly thing to get into at the moment :/

It's just a temporary thing, because we are pretty much on the flat right now, as soon as BTC price will start to fluctuate stronger, there'll be a lot of arbitrage opportunities  Wink

I normally fix them in USDT and reinvest. Hovewer, it may not be such a good idea, looking at the rate they print those tokens with.

It is better not to do it, in general, especially if there are money involved. But you should be totally fine, as long as you don't abuse the referral system, as other members have told you already.

If you do your due diligence, it is a very very profitable way to invest, as you risk 100% of your investment, but you are looking to gain at least 15 times of what you put in. Compare that with 1 to 3 in Forex markets with ability to lose more than you traded with... It's excellent

Re: What is the pont of USB miners?
by
JessyHero
on 23/12/2017, 02:04:25 UTC
Browsing eBay, I see a lot of these on sale, anyone knows what are they for? Says, they are for Bitcoin Mining, but that's going to take longer than your life to get anything, what's the point?
Is there any actual use for them?

The reasons these are bought are a multitude; some people honestly don't know much about bitcoin at all and may think all miners are created equal. They may think that a miner is a miner and think no further; some people buy these strictly so they have the "bragging rights", if you can imagine... The most reasonable reason, in my opinion, that people acquire USB miners is to experience mining and get a feel for the process while they decide whether or not to invest into a larger miner.

As with anything people buy it for different reasons, but honestly the biggest chunk of that market is probably people not understanding what they are buying, believing they will reap more of a reward than reality; this probably scares away many people from investing into mining, because they figure if it isn't profitable or worth-while on a small-scale, then they are doubtful of the large-scale operation/investment.

I thought, I could make a small-scale rig with like 10 of this and mine some other 256 SHA currency, but apparently, noone mines them anymore, only Bitcoin survived
