Considering the large price paid for this domain, it's surprising that hardly any effort seems to be going into promotion and marketing... since the big news about domain purchase, it's gone very quiet. Service seems to be up and running still at least. Does anyone here use it?
Just realized that bitcoin price has never closed below weekly lower bb in history. More than, price never hit lower-equal than -1 deviation on weekly timescale.
Really wish it had closed firmly below the weekly BB last night, would have been really interesting to see what kind of carnage unfolded (if any). As it was, I think it just about clung on.

Because
i) Cryptos have the second mover disadvantage. Bitcoin has the first mover advantage and unless bitcoin runs into a major problem, wil always be stronger longterm. Just look at Coke. First mover and always ahead of Pepsi, despite unrelentless attempts of Pepsi to take over market leadership.
ii) Most cryptos do not have a big enough competitive advantage or differentiation to overcome barrier i)
iii) Monero might gain more traction and that's why I hold them
Which ones do you suggest. I am happy to get convinced depending on your arguments.

You may disagree, but I'd say that masterluc and RyNinDaCleM both command some respect on this forum. Most analysts here are pretty half-assed, but not them.
Add WaveAddict to that list... it's definitely doom and gloom from all the respected analysts. I do think you'd have to be a bit of mug to invest heavily at the moment.

This market is completely fucked. Right now we are simply watching it getting it destroyed. Bitcoin is becoming worthless.
Nobody around me talks about it anymore let alone considers investing in it.

Funny you say that actually, I was sat here yesterday thinking "strange how no one has asked me about bitcoin for a while...". Early this year, friends and family were constantly talking about it, asking me how it's going, asking when they should buy some and how (none of them actually did in the end). Now it seems like it was a passing fad for everyone, something to chat about when it was in the news, now it's been months since anyone has asked me about bitcoin. I'm still very bullish long-term, but short to mid-term... ! I 100% agree with you, this market is at the mercy of mega dumpers, and could be for a long time.

Eh? Not nervous at all, Bitcoin isn't in some kind of crisis, neither is it about to go stratospheric. It's all good.

Exactly. Permabears are bullish since yesterday while permabulls are bearish. So the turn (short-term) was obvious.I can't believe any genuine "permabears" would turn bullish after yesterday... they will need to see it drop to somewhere between $340 to $420, then rally on high volume with indicators turning bullish. Really, that's what anyone with some common sense should be looking for, it would be extremely healthy.
To think this thread probably goes under the radar of a lot of people here... scary stuff. When you have periods like we've had recently, when good news and sentiment starts to stop having any effect, you have to fall back to TA for guidance. And TA, right now, is grim reading for bitcoin. Ryan's work corroborates with a number of other quality TA guys, they are all looking towards a decline to the $420 support at least, and all hell breaking lose if that gets broken.

It can not go lower then 500, it already reached 502 today, now averaging around 513, it is going back up again.
It hit 451 just now, that is lower than 500.

Well I am in active IRL & chat contact with many of the devs. They have convinced me that things are going on well, yet they are careful not to give me information that is not publicly accessible because we have a mutual feeling that my "adoption" of this coin is not what is actually happening and therefore should not be marketed as such.
But it is true that I see the enormous potential, even to replace Bitcoin, as the team in Monero is stronger, and the tech corrects the most glaring flaw of Bitcoin.
- As a result of Bitcoin trying to have a rudder (foundation), it was left entirely without one.
- A short time ago, people generally thought using Bitcoin keeps their finances private. Well, that's pretty far from the case.
I am not here (yet) to make convincing arguments why everyone should buy. The day will come, when the coin is ready. Short list:
- Best team
- Fairest launch of all coins
- Very good emission schedule
- Killer attribute (anonymity with ring sig)
Quite easy really. The coin will deliver if it can be transacted anonymously. Nothing else needed. And it can. But it is too difficult now.
Hasn't AnonyMint proved that Monero is not truly anonymous, certainly not to a "killer attribute" level? I've seen him tear it apart in a thread on here, and stayed away for that reason.

Good chance we'll see $10k one day, but it could be a long way away. A final capitulation in this bear market looks to be just around the corner now, BTC looks so weak.
I also give credit to luc for calling a "year-long bear market" late last year. At the time I thought he was nuts. Now one has to acknowledge his call wasn't off by much so far.
Same, I scoffed when he made that post. As each day goes by, it's looking like a great call.
We've probably near enough exhausted all the sellers in the current price range, but not enough buyers are coming in to drive up. The biggest worry is all of the people who got in during the last bubble above $700, I guess a lot of them are just waiting to cash out and get their money back. There is going to be unbelievable resistance up to $1200.
