That being said, with 99.5% improvement, I'm sur McD and WP will be thrilled to merge this method with the prefix one for even more gains. If they don't I might have to ask them to prove why it's not good Cheesy

I will not attempt anything for this 'bounty' since anything that is presented to you, you will deny. In other words, you would never pay a reward that makes you feel like you were wrong...your ego won't let you.

By the way the bounty is also for you if you post the prefix theory on the cryptography subreddit and the mathematicians / cryptographers there agree it has a better average success rate.

I think I’ve approached all of this the wrong way.

I’m offering a 0.1 BTC bounty for the formal proof of any traversal method that provides a statistical edge over a linear scan for puzzle 69. By statistical edge I mean that this new traversal method running on a statistically significant number of executions requires significantly fewer checks (let’s put the threshold at 5%) to find the key.

Conditions :
- Has to be written using math semantics. Not “where does John lives” metaphors.
- Has to be empirically validated using a python / nodeJS script.
- First one posting it to this thread will be recipient of the bounty.

Have you try With Non Standard Decoding Like a, heuristic Methode  - checksum-ignored Base58 decoding.
it can be faster.

I tested this—amazing! It solved 12 characters in 8 minutes. Is there a C++ version of this? I can only imagine what a script that's 200x faster could do.    Tongue

I have a script in C++, but it's not 200x faster—it doesn't use AVX2 hashing or the JLP SECP256K1.
It uses OpenSSL.

But what are you going to do with it?

I wonder if the Windows 11 firewall can prevent data leaks by creating a rule that blocks incoming and outgoing connections for an executable file, such as *bitcrack.exe*, in case the developer has embedded a spyware module that transmits keys and scanned ranges over the network. Or is the most reliable option to run the brute-force process on a computer completely disconnected from the internet?

And using Custom mnemonic. Not standard mnemonic need to make some trick here. cause to using mnemonic is need minimum 128Bit,  for 68 bit it showing 9 Words with start A and B words. so can saving alot off words reduce from 2048 to something 250 words.

I still dont see how skipping is more efficient than scanning everything.
A certain density of X bits prefixes (what you call being lucky) in an arbitrary range has zero impact on the probability of finding something on the next key, or on 100m keys later.
You can think of it this way : since distribution is random, any key can be replaced by any other key. As a result changing the traversal order does not improve odds of success.

Everyone can say that scanning by jumping is not logical.

But I explained that it is possible with PROBABILITY calculation and some data.

Example;
You bought mixed colored candies sold in the market. You prioritize the colors or flavors you like. Then it is up to you to eat or not eat the others.

Actually, the range is within a certain area. But since your hardware power is too much, I understand that you do not want to miss it.
