Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.6 (Windows/Linux)

Hello!

I updated to the last version, and I'm getting incorrect shares from a card (gpu #5) because I overclock it too much... but with the 8.x version of claymore I was using with the same config, the card was working perfect.

It happens to me with all of 9.x version... What could be going wrong?

Hi guys, I have a problem, I search it in the thread and I couldn't find anything.

I recently build this:

MSI Z97 Gaming 5
I5 4K
Sapphire RX480 8Gb Nitro+ OC
1200w Corsair HX supply power
16Gb Kingston DDR3
SSD Samsung 256Gb
...

So, when I start mining, I lost the wifi connection from all of my devices... when I was mining with 2 RX on my last mobo, an asus, I have no problems before...

Could be the drivers?
Only happens when the claymore start to mine...

When you say "all of my devices", you mean in the room/building?

Yes sir, only when the EthDcrMiner64.exe starts

Huh. I'm assuming you're using a router and not providing wifi from the miner.
Is the router on the same power strip? Maybe even the same breaker?
If it isn't and it's purely an RF interference issue... something is stepping on the FCC's toes. Find it and RMA it. That's kind of a long shot.

Gonna need more info.

With all of my devices I mean my TV and the smartphones, all devices that are connected wireless get disconnected when EthDcrMiner64.exe starts.

I'm using a router, my miner is connected with a wire. Yes the router is on the same power strip. But it was connected before with my last computer and my wifi was perfect.
Yeah, move your router.
Really men, you were right, god bless you with a lot of sex! thanks

Re: Z170 chipset can't detect 6GPU????

Main issue with the Z170 chipset is that it is almost totally reliant on the CPU to provide PCI-E lanes - some older chipsets + optimal CPU could provide up to 40 lanes, Z170 seems to be limited to about 28 at MOST with any CPU it works with.

They're just not intended to run more than about 4 video cards, and have to some convoluted stuff to be able to do so.

Onboard sound and LAN do not normally use a PCI-E lane.
Some M.2 SSDs do use a PCI-E lane.

Brilliant explanation. But the question is... could, this M.2, SATA slots or anothers I never going to  use, be disabled with the objetive to release some lanes you talking about?

Yes sir, and the same result, I don't know what more I can try...

Try disabling any device you're not using. Sound, LAN, etc... maybe those'll free up resources.

I did with the sound and it didn't work. LAN it's not necessary for the mining software?

Yes sir, and the same result, I don't know what more I can try...

Try updating your BIOS, if doesn't work its probably a problem with your board

I had it updated!

Thanks for the help guys

You should try windows 10 instead, I couldn't get more than 4 cards to run on windows 7 even with 6 gpufix
I'm on windows 10 already too

Guys it is easy.

Follow below link.

PS: Do not forget to work application with adminstrator rights otherwise it does not work Smiley

https://lbr.id.lv/6xgpu_mod/6xGPU_mod.html

The code error i get is different from the 6xGPU_mod fix, anyways I prove running it again in administrator mode and the result is the same.
I have now the 16.9.2 driver ver. Still the same result when I connect the 6 GPU... 3/6 working and the another 3 shows as corrupts

Following this with interest.
I have a MSI Z170A Krait gaming and only working with 4, when connecting the 5 or 6 one  the system can't handle and shows 3 as corrupted:
Code 13 and lack of resources...
Tried almost everything without success
