All I read here is "blah blah blah BTC price will crash blah blah blah blah BSV will be king blah blah blah blah blah BTC price will crash blah blah BSV will be king blah blah blah blah BTC price will crash blah blah blah"

Seems to me you have some sort of a reading problem. Cheesy

Hmmm. Like -- just for an example -- Fortune Jack?

The irony is rich.

Hahaha, as if sgbett wasn't slaughtering them hard enough already! They seem to be getting desperate. Sad.

Good strategy for the short(ish) term if you are a trader, we seem to agree!

In the long term though (5+ years), I believe that BSV has, BY FAR, the best chance of survival and mainstream adoption. But hey, don't take my word for it! I'm sure you won't. Cheesy

Always do your own research, your own due diligence!

That's interesting. Why would you say so? The mainstream don't seem bullish at all on BCH, and much less so on BSV. What makes you think the script will flip in the long term?

Well, I believe that if I would try and explain to you how I think about, if I would try to convince you, I would be actively defeating the idea of doing your own research and due diligence, would I not? Wink

But for those interested and open-minded, this gives a broad idea of what I'm talking about:

Having fun in your echo chamber, guys? Grin

BTC seems to be a safe bet for the near future, I believe that as well. But please, don't be too quick to judge and always do your due diligence. NEVER be emotionally invested. Think strategy.

I wish you all the best! Cheesy

I'm following the direction the mainstream is heading to, I have no idea what you are following, because I'm not a lunatic.

Re: BCHSV delisting| Bitcoin back to $6000
by
JohnTask

Let's remember, there is one Bitcoin, the rest are copies that will expire over time.
The story began several months ago and may disappear over the coming months as some platforms will begin to delist BCHSV in the coming days, Binance Will Delist BCHSV. Kraken thinks about it Should Kraken delist Bitcoin SV (BSV)? , and It takes 1008 confirmation for BSV on Coinbase .

On November 13 last year, the price was about $ 6,300. Do you expect the price will back to that level next week? Based on the news above only.

There is only one true Bitcoin indeed, and that's BSV - whitepaper says so. Pricewise, it's not in a good position right now, which might help the BTC ticker go back up to $6,300. I urge all hodlers of BTC to recognise that they are emotionally invested, and to consider the fundamentals on which Bitcoin was founded. BSV *IS* Bitcoin, and BTC is only the name of a ticker.

Hey sgbett, just replying to let you know that I greatly appreciate your posts. I have been telling people around me that BSV is actually the *real* bitcoin for months now and it's really good to see that one of the users I appreciate most on these boards seems to have come to the same conclusion. Let's hope we made the right choice.

I've seen people talk about this recent "jaw dropping rally" multiple times now. This "jaw dropping rally" was just old money, that got pulled out about 12 days before, coming back. No rally.

Get a job, a second job, or any job. Not having money is not an excuse. There is always something to do to get some money.

Strange advice. I run my own company, have multiple clients and already put 50% of my life savings in crypto. Maybe I wasn't being clear enough. In that case, my bad. What I meant was "I'm outta money that I'm willing to invest in crypto". Conventional wisdom dictates to "never invest more than you can afford to lose".

Then buy the dip!

Outta money.

New life? The optimism of some people never ceases to amaze me!
yeah and the pessimism of some others doesn't cease to amaze me!

No, the bulls aren't here yet and probably won't be for another couple of years.
even the previous time that we reached the bottom after Mt Gox took only 8 months approximately. how can this time take a "couple of years" Cheesy

And as you can see, the whole market is in the red again.
yeah very red. it went from $6300 to $7500 then $7300.... so very very red. bitcoin must be dead now.

Yep, today will be the 7th day of green in a row on the 24h chart. The end is nigh lol  Roll Eyes

I have said that the optimism of some people (20.000 - 25.000 by end of the year and other topics about the bull being back) never ceases to amaze me. I have said that I expect the market to be bearish for a couple of years to come and I have said that the market is in the red again, which was simply a completely objective observation.

I have never said that the end is nigh, or that bitcoin is dead.

Re: Bitcoin miners are now losing money
by
JohnTask
on 18/03/2018, 16:12:21 UTC
More or fewer miners will have no impact on the supply... Bitcoin will always be generated at more or less every 10 minutes, whether there's 1 miner like when it all began or thousands like they are now. Tired of the bear move? You've got to get more stamina into you.

No impact on the supply, because of the difficulty adjustment? Fair enough, I believe that's a good point.

More stamina, I would love to have that! Been trading crypto for two years and I was getting used to seeing mostly green and making profits, but lately it's all red and losses. I'm just not used to this bear market I guess, it takes my energy, I can't think straight. Practical advice is always appreciated Smiley

One could imagine that, because some miners will stop mining, the market will get flooded with BTC less quickly. This might increase demand because there's less supply. Who knows how all of this is gonna play out.

To be honest, I hope the entire market will show a slow upward trend again soon. This long bear move is tiring.

Re: Why is Bitcoin price tanking down? There seems to be no respite in the pricing?
by
JohnTask
on 08/03/2018, 20:39:28 UTC
the only reason we didn't keep growing was thanks to the stupid person in charge of the Goxcoins sold it on Kraken instead of OTC as anyone that isn't a complete clueless idiot or someone that doesn't want to damage the market price would do (and I think this was a plan to do just that).

I've been wondering about this as well. It's like he is doing it on purpose. Jesse Powell recommended him to do otherwise, and yet he is dumping them on the market.

Did you, by any chance, semi-necro this thread to show people that you were sort of right all along?

Not criticism, mind you. I've been appreciating your posts for quite a while already.
