and I use ccminer.exe because I'm a Windows guy.

Sorry it's a no go for me too. He's been solo mining for too long. It's not worth it anymore

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Your wallet should sync automatically. If that doesn't work for various reasons you can always connect manually to a good node via Debug > Console by typing:

addnode "34.127.37.138" onetry
which IP belongs to the official Potrero mining pool (pool.potrerocoin.com - ping it to make sure).There may be a better way to do it, I don't know, but anyway, it's how got my wallet to work.

You stated above that you synced to your buddy with that ip, I wouldn't know if your buddy was in the right chain or a fork from it. So your buddy is the dev is that it?

Which algo is this?
probably Scrypt because it's derived from Litecoin
I think I figured it out.
I tried the win64 last night and it didn't work out of the box. It didn't sync with the network, possibly due to my firewall, not sure. So I tried connecting directly to my buddy's node using the Debug Console with the command:
addnode "34.127.37.138" onetry
There's gotta be a way to add nodes in the config file but I'm not there yet.
Manually adding nodes feels like a real peer-to-peer cryptocurrency :-)
