Re: Is a new platform the answer to ICO and cryptos winter?
by
JollySkipper
on 12/03/2018, 11:57:04 UTC
The market is full of ICOs and because of that it makes it very difficult to discern and find which are good ones.

But what do we mean with “good” ones?

It’s not a simple question if they are scams or not!

Some may start with good intentions to deliver a product, but delivering a product is one thing, being useful is another thing. Also do they utilise their token, and if so how and to what extent?

So how I define a good ICO? By simply answering the following questions which i consider very important ones as crypto project is a form of business.

Doing my research I found a project that answers in reasonable extent my questions and I find out that can also help the whole community. Please check the results of my research and feel free to express your thoughts if you agree or disagree with me.

1. Q: How it utilizes blockchain technology?
A: DIW utilizes blockchain technology by using ready made technologies on blockchain, this saves a ton of developers time and money, also its entangles the ICO community together as one. It develops new security protocols that can be utilized and trusted only by the blockchain network and not centralised servers.

2. Q: What problem/s does it solve?
A: How many times do people get scammed in digital world and real life?
   i.e.
An individual or a company is pretending that is selling some quality tyres, you choose what you want, you pay and you end up receiving nothing.
How many times has someone pretended to be someone and is someone else?
How safe is it to save on a centralised server or on your computer sensitive data such as: Passwords, Login Credentials ,Visa Card Numbers, Cryptocurrency Wallet Seeds?
All those are serious problems that people are facing on a daily basis.
DIW solves such issues with the following:
* Identity verification, which offer scammer protection
* No double/fake accounts
* The Seller identity is real (verified KYS)
* The Buyer is real (verified with KYC).
*Payment is secured for buyers and sellers from DIW Escrow service.
*Sellers have personal ratings in DIWs Global hub that ensures the quality of their services.
*Ensures ultimate security for very important and sensitive data storage, transfer and sharing.

3. Q: Is it a realistic project with a realistic approach?
A: DIW utilizes blockchain technology to the max by utilizing ready made technologies on blockchain, this save a ton of developers time research and money, also it entangles the ICO community together as one.
DIW offers an infrastructure of a complete A to Z platform that utilizes already developed real products on blockchain, and reinforces them by new secure protocols that ensure the maximum possible security.

4. Q:  Is the project made for the masses or just for the few?
A: The problems that DIW is solving are problems that most people around the world are facing everyday and are struggling for solutions. That gives the project the chance to become something big.

5. Q:  How does the project utilize its token in its ecosystem?
A: DIW utilizes in a big extent its token.
Data Storage, Data Secure transfer, Escrow Service, Assessment, Product purchases through DIW payment gateway, Global Directory Rank Push (if a member want to appear in the top of the list).

6. Q: Is the amount asked for funding reasonable?
A: Yes as DIW is building the infrastructure for a platform that will utilize seemingless blockchain technologies and new blockchain protocols that will ensure the ultimate security.
In order for projects to be developed and marketed correctly they need a serious amount of funds as we talk about new technologies and new products. Also, companies need to hire employees in a niche market, buildings, advertisement, improvements in technology, market research etc...

7. Q: Can the team deliver such a product?
A: From my research the project has a highly motivated and transparent team with a very strong background and a solid rock idea that has utilized in such beautiful way the blockchain technology.

Conclusion:

So what was so interesting in that project that was worth my time and research?

First I will explain in very simple words how do I envision their payment procedure that they offer.
It’s like I’m buying tyres in a nearby shop in my city. It’s like a face to face transaction. You know that the shop and the owner exist for real because they are verified in the DIW platform.
You know that they selling tyres (KYS). The supplier knows that you want to buy for real, this is why you visited his shop (KYC).
You heard from other people in your neighborhood that this shop has good quality tyres this is why you went to that shop in the first place (DIW Global Rating System) .
You pay and you receive the product (DIW Escrow Service).

Are the same procedures with real life interaction but now in a digital more secure and luxury form..

Also in terms of security for sensitive data they offer a double layer of security which include software and hardware protection.

All real life interactions utilized in a secure digital form using blockchain technology.

I want someone to try to compare DIW with any other ICO. DIW is the only complete platform that utilize its token. DIW is the best thing ever happen to blockchain after the Ethereum. This project is going to change everything.

it will most likely be the largest ICO

I check ICOs for long time, and DIW is the first time I feel comfortable to invest a big amount and be sure that it's probably the only ICO that will survive for long term and yes I agree if not the largest on of them. Its the first time that we have an ICO that it's token have real use in the platform , and is the first time we have an ICO that has an ecosystem that make sense. Most ICOs are bullshit in my opinion because the structure of them is wrong. DIW has a very very deep and smart structure and reason for everything that is going to introduce. What DIW show us today is just the very fundamentals of  what is going to do later.
For me now, every new post of DIW is like I'm watching an action movie, I know that every move of them is very smart, has a reason and that are going to impress me.
I found this ICO from the very begging and I'm watching it, the team is very clever and proven this by how they move, I expect nothing but to be one of the TOP 8

Re: explain what Airdrop is
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 21:38:12 UTC
Hello! Can you explain me what airdrop mechanisms are, their functionning/implications please?

When a developer airdrops coins/tokens it means that they give them away for free. You have to qualify to participate in the airdrop, and the rules for qualification and amounts of airdrops varies from project to project.

Here is an earlier thread you can learn more from: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1876879.0

Hope this helps.

Airdrop is good idea to attract new people.
Unfortunately, I don't get airdrop because need find good project.. Have not time for it.
Do you know good airdrop?

Check diw, for me is the top project and serious people talking about it with very positive commends

Re: The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy?
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 21:33:52 UTC
I realize no one knows when the drop will level off. Im wondering though since i just bought a bunch more yesterday and lost a bunch more by today (lol never spend more than you can afford to lose) when do you foresee this leveling off and time to buy other currencies? Or how would you judge when the right time to buy is besides checking the mkt hourly and driving your self nuts? Id buy more today if i see a shift towards a leveling off however when i see 10-40% drops daily id like to mitigate losing hundreds of dollars per coin in a day when I buy more of them to hold onto.

Now its the time, buy buy buy!!! Now are the sales of cryptos!! The correction seems to stopped for now and uptrend will start again!

Re: The future of the paper money
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 21:30:33 UTC
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

Paper money will get replaced by tokens because will be more profitable and more practical for people and business. Token economy will come sooner that most people think because the underground technology will be available in 2018

Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble?
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 21:06:03 UTC
Wall street grows ever more certain Bitcoin is a bubble. I can't even say they're wrong. Flirting with $6000 per coin and low economic utility? For as dumb as Jamie Dimon sounds every time he says anything about Bitcoin, the tulip bubble analogy looks less and less inappropriate all the time.

Quote
In a note to clients published on Thursday, analysts at UBS took a long look at Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and the blockchain technology that underwrites this whole enterprise.

Looking only at pricing, UBS said that, “a twenty-fold increase in bitcoin prices in just two years, and an absence of any fundamental economic backing, cryptocurrency prices are almost certainly a bubble.”

Blockchain utility doesn't make crypto not a bubble. That'll be important to remember for people buying now expecting to make big gains at this cost basis, and there's real risk there.

There is no bubble, there are only technical problem which will make btc a shitcoin is do not get solved. I'm not a fan o btc because is an empty token, this is my main problem with it, but I'm not also a fan because it consumes huge amounts of energy for nothing

Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 21:04:10 UTC
Yes, got you intrigued, didn't it?

Bitcoin is a very good thing to have as an asset. Just like gold. Even better if I may say. It's secure, and unlike fiat money it actually exists and work is put into it to produce it. This makes it great to store value.
However, it cannot and will not replace current fiat money that the entire world it using. It just cannot.
Take paying a cup of coffee for example. To pay your coffee with bitcoins, one must get bitcoins first, either by mining or buying bitcoins with other kinds of money (*cough*fiat*cough). It ends up being a quite complicated process, don't you think?
Until we reach the point where paying for a cup of coffee is as easy with Bitcoin as it is with cash, we will never get mass adoption. And as far as I see it, there is no way of simplifying the acquiring of bitcoins.

The problem with bitcoin is that became centralized, very manipulated by miners and whales and its price is also affected by media.
Bitcoin lighting network can solve the speed of the network but this will come at the price of more centralization that makes btc even worse.
The worse problem with BTC is its PoW which soon or later will make it unprofitable and useless.

Bitcoin is growing fast and everyday a lot of people takes interest in this. I too started the other day and I am very willing to invest my time here. With that said, with the drastic growth of bitcoin worldwide, how do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now? Thank you as always.

In 10years will probably in history books only, Ethereum and real platform like ethereum are the only ones which will survive the crypto bubble.

Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ?
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 18:32:28 UTC
Savings in banks Deposits in banks Property investments, such as buying property (land and buildings) are then leased or resold after some time later. Gold investment, such as buying gold and then stored for the long term. May be useful in the long run. and produce a decent and satisfactory. or farming to buy sawan and gardening and planting fruits and vegetables is a very good investment. Although a little vulnerable to failure but it could not hurt to try.

NO NO NO, bitcoin is a joke, you are obviously a newbie that know shit about this joke called bitcoin.
Go for ethereum, neo, cardano, iota, these are real investments, bitcoin is with steroids at the moment in the place which is.

Re: Bitcoin Will Change Everything
by
JollySkipper
on 17/01/2018, 18:30:26 UTC
We are entering in the new type of economy where price predictions are not possible any more because productivity and prosperity of humanity will rise to the new golden age level. Bitcoin will go to 1 million dollars in 2018 and is being used by central banks as a global stardard ledger - dollar will fade slowly those who buy now will become the new wealthy elite.

Bitcoin is the worse coin in the market cap, is mined with PoW method that is out of control and very bad for the planet. Bitcoin is a joke in our days that takes to much because newbies are still buying it.
The future belongs to technologies like Hashgraph

Should I stop buying BTC for above market value or should I start paying the listed price? I support Bitcoin and still pay 5k a BTC does anyone see bitcoin going back up?

Bitcoin is an empty token, is not a good investment, better invest to a real platform like ethereum or a future one like eos, neo, cardano, IOTA.

If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?

Is going to be with lighting network, but is not the fittest technology for this, Hashgraph is the most promised technology for this. Bitcoin is the first generation but it doesn't mean that will be the global currency that everybody wants.

Ethereum now! Ethereum is going to hit 3K to stop , don't miss the train. Btc is a shitty empty token thats go up just because newbies join in. In bitcoin newbies are the asset for whales who keep the most coins.
