The last two countries to try this were Iraq and Libya. Thankfully the American people don't have the stomach to allow our government "bring democracy" to these newest offenders.

The US cannot start war with Russia and China at the same time, its not a strategic decision.

Arrogance will make country/leader do foolish thing.

No way. Maybe there are some map exercises about such a scenario.

Re: bitcoin corruption

if someone could do with the money corruption. of the company until the government had a chance to do so. however, my question whether to BTC this could happen also??
and how anyone who could be categorized as a corruptor BTC??
wheter malicious hackers are included into it.  give you a reason, friend Smiley  Roll Eyes

Nowadays the biggest corruption is not about giving money/fiat/Btc from point A to point B.
It´s about to do / owe a favour. (Not trackable)

And that´s why Transparency International is in my eyes a hypocritical tool to prevent lower (trackable) degrees of corruption, (Money-transfer)
but not the real relevant kind of corruption as i wrote before.

I think it is possible to discredit Bitcoin as a tool for corruption.
It was possible to discredit Bitcoin as a tool for buying drugs and so on.

The underlaying sense of that argumentation is to implement Bitcoin into the existing system with new rules (Registration Duty) by creating public pressure.

These are ways to strengthen a country's currency. But i have one question in mind that if one country's currency is more than another country then also its economy will be stronger?
No. You have to ask yourself: what is the "strength" of that economy.
A strong economy can also have a downgraded currency.
(like China/Japan for example)
More important is the economical background and the "business model" of the country in which the currency is embedded.

It´s not about an antivirus detection failure and a (harmless) signature of an old virus.

It´s about  the possible implementation of prohibited content into the Blockchain with the same method, the "Stoned" signature was integrated.
(Transaction -> Comment line -> Insert Content -> Implementation into the Blockchain)

ah...thx Cr1776!!!

I will read that.

Pls. give me some details/enlightment why my thoughts are technical and legally NOT relevant. (Example: ...because....xy)

Otherwise, just ignore me....simple is that.

I dont´t want to discredit Bitcoin. I want to discuss a single topic. And sure, i´m framing.
That´s what humans do. Get some social skills if you can´t handle that.

Sure, it was only the signature of "Stoned" but...

Bomb instructions, Holocaust denial, gay propaganda, Islam jokes,.............could also be implemented into the Blockchain. Also encoded.

That could mean the prohibition of the Blockchain itself.
(Possession, dissemination of prohibited content....)

Hi all,

I am amazed that there is only a small resonance on this issue.
(Watch for "Stoned Virus Signature in the Blockchain"...)

The potential impact of this vulnerability for Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies:

->Once prohibited content is introduced in the blockchain, (through the same method) the possession of the respective block chain is punishable through authorities!

I ask you to call me an idiot.
(No irony)

p.s. F**K

p.p.s What is an alternative altcoin without that problem?

Best regards

Thanks for your posts!

For storing in long term seems paper wallet(s!) as best option.

Idea to encrypt wallet with gpg and spread it over world is awesome. But in short term it seems overcomplicated to work with it at daily basis(is it not?) and in long term you are still depending on private key (another storing or loosing problem...)

No, that´s easy. Every used Privatekey is "burned". ---> Diversificate + Change Wallet / onto the next public key you had created...
What´s "Overcomplicated" if you can chill...hm?

Just wait for the hardware solutions...

Well hello, all.

I am a professional Dominatrix with eight years of beautiful/violent macabre/life-affirming experience under My belt. As I have noticed a lack of BDSM/kink visibility in the BTC community, I would like to announce (for the benefit of interested kinksters) that there are a few Dommes who are starting to accept BTC. I am one of these, and I have created a Fetlife group, Dommes Who Accept Bitcoin/Litecoin: https://fetlife.com/groups/86335 -

If you are an interested party, I am available to answer questions at My email findom.rx@gmail.com.

If you are not a potential client but you have questions relating to BTC acceptance in the Kink community, or any related BDSM questions, I can answer those as well.

Wicked delights,
Madame Rax
(or Rax, as My friends call Me.)

My personal Tumblr page answers a few questions, as well: http://beautifully-dangerous-addiction.tumblr.com

Wow, that scared me a little bit   Tongue
I´m sure she´s gentle. At the beginning.  Grin

Why Bitcoin is going to takeover the Dollar as world´s dominant currency
by
Jonton
on 23/11/2013, 12:58:35 UTC
You can control the price of Bitcoin towards the Dollar/Fiatmoney with closed trading systems

Example:
-The daily volantlity is about 5.000 Bitcoins.
-Some people build up a group, which own´s 10.000 Bitcoins.
-Through that difference of Bitcoins they can make the price fall or rise, like they want...by selling or buying among themselves.

->The Bitcoins stay in a closed trading Structure.

If more and more people get into the Bitcoin system, you need to expand your controlled Number of Bitcoins in your Closed Trading System.
The Difference in volantility between the people wich are not involved in that system and the CT System makes that expand.

Further, there is a party which is printing a lot of Dollars each month.
Spending 1/65 of that into mining systems or buying Bitcoins will increase the ability to control Bitcoin in the future.
Bit by Bit...Bitcoins will be overtaken by the Big money until the Dollar collapse is allowed.

Bitcoin will survive and offers a great opportunity to get back the moral momentum of the USA, as bankers are presented as evil and Bitcoins are accepted by every big company.

It will feel good.

But in the end, it will be a controlled currency and history goes on...

For me that means, bitcoins will get more and more valuable until the whole thing is done.

Possible???

Thx for your replies...

Closed Trading Structures. Price Manipulation?
by
Jonton
on 23/11/2013, 11:16:19 UTC
Is the last rising of Bitcoin a sign of starting closed trading structures?

Example:

The daily volantlity is about 5.000 Bitcoins.

Some people build up a group, which own´s 10.000 Bitcoins.

Through that difference of Bitcoins they can make the price fall or rise, like they want...by selling or buying among themselves.
->The Bitcoins stay in a closed trading Structure.

Is that just a silly thought or theoretical possible?
