Re: Celebrity Endorsed Cryptocurrency
by

Stox: Floyd Mayweather, Luis Suarez, Liang Tian
Centra: Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled
Cobin Hood: Jamie Foxx.
The Game (Rapper): Paragon
Max Keiser: Maxcoin
Paris Hilton: Lydian Coin

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??
I think celebrity endorsements represent all that is wrong with the old world - The new world of cryptocurrencies needs trust in Math, not cult of personality. Have any of the ico's listed performed well or have they pumped and dumped
Personally I'll never put into a coin that requires celebrity endorsement.

Although today Bitcoin is quite anonymous I think in a few years time we wont think of oit like that, rather, as a fully transparent method of moving value.

Err, a criminal gang kidnap the U.S. Presidents daughter and demand BTC for payment... I think Mr Trump might react badly to this.

I believe the other cryptos in the eco-system all serve a purpose, thats not to say that they will have value, but they serve a purpose.

When thinking that BTC is expensive, I always try to think what the price will be in 5 - 10 & 15 years time... then I realise its dirt cheap today and there will probably never be as good a time to buy again.

Not surprising that they haven't heard of it. None of my family members know much about it either except for the fact that it has some value. The only people who follow the internet news would have likely heard about it. Its very rare to have a new article about it too.
My family members now know about it because of me - I see this as our duty, to inform and educate those nearest to us. I'm still the only one who hodls any though Wink

Ok last night I suddenly felt that BTC's road to $100k is imminent

Sounds crazy? Yes maybe, but it really is not

BTC at $100k is the right value

And we r going to see it go there now.   Shocked

You'll see my friends

Sure my friend, but I think I'll meet you at the destination in 3-5years time, not imminently*

Anything can still happen although it need process and trust to show what it can be do
At the moment ,I'm still hold most of my bch until I can sell it on appropiate value

Do you think a new coin that is given for free can hit high value? I do not believe in it, it can carry a high value in a short time, but the longer it goes, the more forgotten it is, BCC is in the same situation.

I cant help feeling that this is by no means over yet. If Segwit2x doesn't go through, then I can see many miners feeling disappointed and they may begin to turn their hashing power to Bitcoin Cash.... I'm a believer in a stack system - Segwit followed by LN, I'm no big blocker, but I think BCH hit a floor at 0.05BTC - We'll see

So a few months have passed and we've had a fork - do you still want Bitcoin to die?

Personally I think this is without doubt the greatest invention of my lifetime, and one that can safe guard your financial future. Not so sure about BCH but we'll see Wink

It would be interesting if there will be another coin splits  Grin

https://news.bitcoin.com/segwit2x-and-the-tale-of-three-bitcoins/

Do you think it will happen?
WHat do you think?

I think there is a serious chance that Segwit2x will not be taken up, and that the miners will feel betrayed and turn their hashing power to Bitcoin cash. We are not out of the drama yet Smiley

Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin

Being unemployed drove her into engaging to Bitcoins.
When I first got into Bitcoin I spoke to all my friends and family about it (as I suspect we all do). I noticed a trend. The richer the person was the less they liked the idea of it, for those with little to no money, BTC offers virtually no risk, yet to those that have money they seemed to feel that the chance of them losing some of their precious fiat was all too real. I love Bitcoin and I tend to like the people it attracts too. This is the future of finance!

Re: is it possible that bitcoin cash can surpass the value of bitcoin?

Can anyone help to answer it? because I want to invest for bitcoin cash.

I would wait, BCH (Bitcoin Cash) is currently being dumped and I suspect will be for a few days. In my opinion BCH will never surpass BTC in price, but I've been wrong before Wink

That's all I have to say about this altcoin... it's going nowhere - you don't even have a trustful wallet for it yet.

Re: Job Vs Bitcoin

Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin
I did!
'The game' is then not to spend all your crypto savings whilst living (food, travel, rent, bills) - it just takes crypto to have a bad 6 week period, and you to have a lot of out goings, to severely reduce your savings.
My suggestion would be to set a defined target of what you want to achieve, then set yourself a time to achieve that and work out how much it will cost you to live in that time - then cash out the required amount. You've now got a framework to work within and hopefully still have a nice amount of crypto. Anyway that's my 2 satoshi's, good luck with your decision.
