So, I'm very aware of limitations concerning the physical examination of the patients.

We never said that we will handle all the diseases in a teleconsultation. So please, read all the documentation that we wrote instead of inventing your own interpretations. It is not very efficient if you read 2 lines on a forum and you start making assumptions and asking questions that we already answered.

Of course that we won't hire medical professionals that don't speak the local language. How can you even ask that sort of question ? What would the point of doing something like that ?
Of course that we won't be able to handle problems of blood pressure if you don't know how to take it in the first place.
Of course that not all the situations can be handled by telemedicine
Our primary goal is that you have access to your medical records. It is not to say that we can solve all the diseases of the world.

I'm one of the co-founders and one of the medical advisors of Hearthy.co.

I have 3 minutes delays per post, so I can't answer everyone in an efficient and clear way. It would take me 20 minutes just to post 3 answers.

For example someone asked how can you know if is really a doctor who will have access to your medical records, although it is explicitly written in the blog : "This also means that, at Hearthy, we will hand pick each healthcare professional that will work WITH us to HELP YOU.". Which means that, at the beginning, we will probably hire excellent medical professionals to help you. Afterwards, we will scale up the amount of health professionals without compromising the quality.

Also, take into account that among the creators of Hearthy there is people with experience on the domains that we talk about. This are our previous projects :

The version of the app is not alpha. But by opening the source code we have to take security measures (tokens, passwords) that make the tests more difficult. Besides, there's no real doctors using that app since there's no HER tokens that will allow the use of the platform. So the "real" application will be launched maybe in the middle or at the end of the ICO.

The success of an ICO today is a little bit uncertain and relies on many factors. Among them, there's the financial speculation of some potential buyers and since we can't escape that, we accept it because that's the "game" that we decided to play in.

However, I'm sincerely curious about how this information would be useful to you beside the above mentioned reason. The answer to this question may help us understand better the different forces / motivations / incentives that our buyers have and would help us to better adapt to the market.

Why ?
Because people in that conditions can lose consciousness or be unaware of their medical conditions. On that situations, we can have an emergency code that can unlock certain data from your medical records that can be used by the frontline doctors that will handle your case

This situation is a little bit tricky. We have to evaluate the outcomes of the different clinical situations, of course. But in my experience as a healthcare professional, people have a very peculiar way to deal with "free" stuff. So although we don't want that the financial situation could be a barrier, we don't want to have economical biases on the perception of our medical value proposition neither.

Your description is on point my friend. That's EXACTLY what we want to do.

That's the principle of a startup. If it's not what people want, and what they want is compatible with our ethos and our mission, we will adapt.

The financial burden is not the only problem to solve. It would be a good solution to ask for 1 Philippine peso and give a bad service ?

Our goal is to give a service that works from a medical point of view, do so with a good UX for the patient, and not losing money [I stress the fact that I don't use the word "profitable". I'm saying "not losing cash" very precisely], to make it sustainable.

As you may be aware, I (one of the cofounders) am physician and an entrepreneur. I have already created a telemedicine company in France and we have projects in 6 different countries. So I'm quite aware of the problems that you are pointing out. The roadmap is clear on the fact that we don't pretend to have universal adoption immediately. That would be an illusion. If I take again the example that you gave about Chrome / Firefox / etc... we don't want to create one of those. We want to create the HTTP protocol. A new one, but in healthcare. But to do so we need a MVP. That MVP will be like a little browser, that works in some place and then scale up from there. It will take years ? Yes. But it is needed so someone has to do it.

You are totally right. We are aware of that blind spot in our value proposition. That's why we are currently contacting many people that will work with us on that matter. The thing is that people with that kind of experience is rare, and we don't want to take the first one that comes to us since this is a very sensitive matter and we want to be sure that we have right fit. As you may know, recruitment is among the most important and hence more difficult part on any project, and yet a lot of people neglect it. We don't.

As soon as this part will be much more clear and stable, you'll be the first to know.
