Quite honestly I am not concerned at all in the communities trust in us and so on, my only concern is that people are being too greedy and hoarding NUD so the volumes are always low. If you want to dump at 1k sat then dump your whole half a million, don't do tiny 5k dumps to try and bait us into making the price higher. If we begin buying on bittrex now the price will be driven up to +20k satoshi since the greedy whales will dump every 5k at a higher and higher price.

Overall letting the market cool down is great, I am more than happy that you have absolutely no faith in NUD, please dump all your reserves promptly as I am growing impatient.

Before releasing the update our dearest dev has allocated an additional budget towards acquiring additional NUD. We are willing to buy at 2200 satoshi AT A PROFIT, the price on the exchange is nearing 1k satoshi. We are looking to buy large amounts that are impossible to buy due to the low volume, if anyone is willing to sell MORE than 100k PM us.

They have been offered a whooping 2800 satoshi per NUD but the whales turned that offer down claiming they would rather have NUD fail than sell at such a low price, now they are selling at 1k satoshi.

It must be very confusing being a Chinese, but then again, these coins are better off at the hands of people that believe in NUD rather than speculators.

This is precisely the sort of dumbfuckery we are trying to discourage. Go invest into icebergcoin or whatever shitcoin gives you profit (pump).

What we are doing here is starting a vehicle for original innovation, we don't need speculators de-stabilizing the prices like the chinese just did.

Yes we have a lower chance for success, yes there will be a bumpy road ahead, yes there might be inconveniences but ultimately we hope to deliver a sort of monetary system that could rival Bitcoin and be much faster, more fungible, more divisible and a better store of value.

We are already experimenting with technology which would allow us to implement smart nodes to relay information significantly faster than the Bitcoin network does ultimately keeping the whole network better synchronized.

We do have a significant advantage since we got the chance to observe the Bitcoin experiment and all its downfalls once it's out in the wild and up for so long.

It is possible to include transactions into the blockchain, and we did notify C-Cex, and they didn't apply the newest patch and continued support.

The attitude really kills me, it's as if we're employed by someone here except that we're a bunch of volunteers and tech savvy investors willing to go out of our way for this project. The dev always opposed paying +2500 satoshi per NUD in his earliest messages as you can clearly see at the start of the thread because he predicted that there will be some turbulence ahead with an innovative coin as there always is.

If you want to hold a highly innovative coin with huge upside potential mine NUD, otherwise invest into the next shitcoin pump and gamble your money away inside the bubble....

Fix for the 0.0.0.5 bug

It seems that the network forked, we are still early in development with no serious resources allocated so things are moving slow. They will move significantly faster now.

We have came up with a fix:
1. Re-download the client from http://nud.fi/downloads
2. Download the blockchain from the same page or http://nud.fi/blockchain.zip
3. Unzip the blockchain into %appdata%/NUD directory on Windows or ~/.NUD directory on Linux
4. Launch the client and wait for the blockchain to get rescanned

This will keep your client synchronized to the proper/official fork of the network.

It seems that we have a bug with the Qt version which is weird since sanity checks have been passed on the source and the linux daemon seems to work flawlessly.

We aren't currently mining so I am surprised that some would suggest that we would purposely cause the whole ordeal for a few extra blocks 

I will try to compile a deterministic gitian build and see if the issue persists...

You could try to compile from source yourself, it seems to be build specific problem for some reason.

We have already said that we will hardfork multiple times and made a warning for all the users to stay up to date.

The next update will likely be the last mandatory hardfork, we will introduce a reduced blockchain and apply some amorphous computing concepts that we have been working on very hard, topology-aware clients are the future of decentralized monetary systems and will lead to much faster propagation of information and generally significantly reduced dis-synchronization of the network.

If your client isn't getting past a certain block delete the whole chain and let the client redownload it. All the whales haven't yet switched so this is a golden opportunity to mine yourself some NUD blocks on an extremely low difficulty.

Well no, it isn't worth our 550k post-mine, since it cost a good 10k in research to come up with all the white papers not counting the volunteering time of the dev and myself. 550k NUD would give us 13.2165BTC currently or about 7k, meaning a staggering -3k profit after having the money frozen for more than 6 months.

Greedy? Ask your chinese friends about being greedy, not only are they remarkably foolish by not selling at 2200 SAT for development and claiming that they aren't even interested in selling NOW they dump on bittrex for us after the post-mine.

This is excellent news then, we are still willing to buy at 2200 SAT.

There are plenty of altcoins that do a pre-mine but ohh god forbid someone does a post mine after attempting to purchase NUD etc.

The price has doubled on bittrex so I take it the fork is healing properly, the majority of people seem to agree with us with a minority being lost as predicted. While I rather not lose the minority it seems like we can live with the losses.

I don't see anything falling apart, on the contrary, I see things beginning to come together. The devs were unwilling to slave away and pay thousands of dollars in development fees for ungrateful whales while not even holding any significant NUD, boo whoo.

Now things will start moving pretty rapidly.
