I have two windows 10 machines with 5, rx580 8gb each. Using 5.4c with drivers 20.9.2. Getting only incorrect shares.  It has been working for a few months.  Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks,

sorry, ever try to lower your OC ?

Yea, I even removed all the memory and core values to run it on default.  I really think it's driver related.

Anyone have an idea why my rx480 rigs always have lower current hash values to reported on ethermine pool while my 1070 rigs always report more current than reported?  They both have been running for a week or more consistently.

So last night my internet went out for a few hours and when it came back 4/5 of my amd rx480  rigs were mining at 0mh/s.  Windows 10 was popping up errors about how it prevent a program from using the graphic cards.  I assume this is a DAG issue.  But why would it happen after my internet went out? I tried to uninstall and reinstall 20.x amd drivers and pixel patch it with no fix.  Any tips?

Thanks

When I set -mclock and cclock in the miner and close it Windows 10 freezes for a bit and then resets the config to default.  Is there a more graceful way to do it that I am missing?  Thanks,

I have had a rig running 0.5 for nearly a year with no problems 5x MSI Gaming X 1070 on Windows 10.  One of the cards died and I did an RMA.  They sent me a Gaming Z 1070.  When I put that card back in I now get this error for every card.

 09:50:20 CUDA: Device: 0 GeForce GTX 1070, 8192 MB i:64
09:50:20 CUDA: Device: 1 GeForce GTX 1070, 8192 MB i:64
09:50:20 CUDA: Device: 2 GeForce GTX 1070, 8192 MB i:64
09:50:20 CUDA: Device: 3 GeForce GTX 1070, 8192 MB i:64
09:50:20 CUDA: Device: 4 GeForce GTX 1070, 8192 MB i:64
09:50:22 CUDA: Device: 4 Thread exited with message: "an illegal memory access was encountered"
09:50:22 CUDA: Device: 2 Thread exited with message: "an illegal memory access was encountered"
09:50:22 CUDA: Device: 1 Thread exited with message: "an illegal memory access was encountered"
09:50:22 CUDA: Device: 3 Thread exited with message: "an illegal memory access was encountered"
09:50:22 CUDA: Device: 0 Thread exited with message: "an illegal memory access was encountered"

And a popup for windows 10 says this.

"Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware."

I then upgraded to 0.6, nothing changed.  I googled some and figured since the RMA card I got back was different I then should just set every GPU back to stock using MSI afterburner.  That didn't fix it either.  MSI afterburner says driver version 388.13.  I then used windows to update the drivers to 399.24 and that didn't fix it either.  Next I used DDU to remove all drivers and start from scratch and that didn't fix it.  Ugg.

I have ran out of options.  Any ideas?  Thanks,

Looks like we just passed DAG #200 on ETH.

I wonder how the difficulty will adjust with people not upgraded to the latest v11.x?

I had one rig on 9.x and it stopped hashing about an hour ago.

This reminds me of the pre-Claymore days when rigs used to crash during a new DAG file and the difficulty slightly dipped while everybody had to restart their rigs.

All of my miners just went down.  I have been on 9.0 for about a year so I came here.  Guess the fix is to upgrade all to 11.x?
Thanks.

Hi all,

I am trying to mine bitcoin gold with the new miner through simplemining and suprnova pool, EWBF v0.2, all I am  getting is GPU rejected shares, see setting bellow.

miner --server btg.suprnova.cc --port 8866 --algo 144_5 --pers BgoldPow --user daz59.miner1 --pass Worker 1234

Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure where you got the port 8866 the help page says 8816, but I still can't get it to connect  at all much less rejected shares.  No luck even connecting.

Debating between the ccminer-x64-2.2.2-cuda9 and the suggested nvida miner ccminer-alexis78-ms2013-cuda7.5

I get this with the alexis one.  Why is it reporting two different hash rates?  What are you guys using?

GPU#0:ASUS GTX 1080 Ti, 78.90MH/s
[2018-01-10 21:35:54] [S/A/T]: 0/3/3, diff: 1.387, 68.79MH/s yes!

Thanks,

The Alexis version has been shown to be faster. It's better optimized for the NIST5 algorithm and, therefore, higher hash rates with the same hardware when compared to ccminer 2.2

Thanks.

MY WIND TUNNEL GPU RIG!

So I wanted to run six rigs  with six gpus each, 36 total.  The problem was that I live in a one bedroom apt.  So I had to get some serious ventilation to make it habitable.  Before this setup was complete it was 86F with A/C on 24/7.  Most people build the rigs with the mobo and gpus all in one frame.  I took a different approach. Here it is from start to finish.  Enjoy.

The first picture is my original mess that took up too much room and caused heating issues.  After that I knew I needed a new idea.

I'm very interested in the temps. Especially the ones at the end. I think you might want to upgrade your fan. Also, you might want to turn your GPUs around. I believe their design to move air the other way.

Quietcool makes amazing fans, I picked up 2 of these for $150 each, https://jet.com/product/detail/73f1700f64634e939ab22e9eaa80eea4?jcmp=pla:ggl:NJ_dur_Gen_Appliances_a1:Appliances_Heating_Cooling_Air_Quality_Ventilation_Fans_a1:na:PLA_785111962_42767752004_pla-306111780840:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&pid=kenshoo_int&c=785111962&is_retargeting=true&clickid=63e9e0b7-44e4-43fe-8e34-b2a18916b75e

It's a bit too late to move the GPUs around as I have all the cables routed.

I ended up using a window mounted exhaust fan from amazon.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FXOFNYQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1  I am sure I could find a more powerful fan, but this thing is right next to where I sleep so it needs to be quiet.  I run in on medium 24/7.

How much did the temperature drop after completing the wind tunnel setup? (both ambient temp and the GPU temps) Nice setup with the racks, nice and compact. Smiley

The temps run from mid 50C to 65C mostly.  The last row on the top is the hottest around 72C.  My room is now a livable 77 without A/C.  But I still have 7, 1070s that arn't in that wind tunnel heating up my room to get that temp.
