Re: Who will win the crypto KING of 2018?
by

This is undoubtedly the easiest question someone asked me this year. Bitcoin of course. Even though it is indeed getting a lot of hate, it still has a huge community behind it backing it and a lot of serious people involved. I see people say ether here, ether has it's own place but it's not number one, at least not for now.

It's not always the amount that brings the success. You got to start somewhere. Just be wise and do the right moves that you feel you should do. If you think you need to listen to someone's advice, do it, but if you doubt him just stay away from it. A friendly advice, a forum board will never help you get rich, you are the only one who can do that  Smiley

I only hear people whining about how expensive and slow Coinbase is, so I'd stay away for now until it gets the necessary upgrades to function properly.

This is such awesome news to hear. First it's a computer retail store, soon it's the sports stores.. and before you know it boom, you are in a mall doing shopping just like in an amusement park - by touching your wristband! Great progress.

Re: Bittrex Account Hacked?!
by

on 02/01/2018, 22:01:53 UTC
Thanks for all the replies guys.

I really am stumped because my phone is also connected to my email so even if a hacker could get into my email account to delete any incoming messages, I would of got a ping to notify me that someone had logged in with a new IP.

I've gone through all of my emails, nothing, I just can't figure it out. I am going to try and contact Bittrex and see what they say. I was using someone else's internet as I was round a friends house on Boxing day and stayed the night, but even then I'm struggling to put the pieces together.

It's really just a very odd situation.

I am sorry to hear this happened, the wallet that is the final recipient of the Bitcoins seems pretty shady from my point of view. Commenting so I can catch up later on, please update when you have a response from Bittrex.

Good luck!

Re: What company would you want to have accept Bitcoin?

Major online retail store would be a good start. If that starts happening, soon many others will follow that example and it will blow up in no time. Also, maybe some software development companies should start "trusting" crypto and actually start boosting their sales by accepting it. Am I the only one who sees a negative side to not accepting crypto? You can only benefit by accepting.

Making money is so easy, just ask on forum and get huge amount of bucks. You must to follow McAfee twitter and buy coin of the day or coin of the week he advice.

Is it for true, I mean McAfee's prediction? Beside Verge, which coin did he predict?

As he states on his Twitter he actually didn't predict anything and his account, actually his phone was hacked.

Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin?
by
JureViewly
on 29/12/2017, 12:45:00 UTC
I know people that are quitting their jobs for Bitcoin, but now have enough Bitcoin and fiat to not worry about the future and also they can always resume work like self employed. The idea is that they already have enough fiat to not worry about daily life expenses and keep their financial status and their family safe.
Because we don't know what the future holds for crypto , I would not advise quitting your job (main and stable income ) , but that is your decision after consulting with your family.
Any decision you make I wish that you succeed.

Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ?
by
JureViewly
on 28/12/2017, 21:24:44 UTC
It's a bit tricky since Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency and will most likely have an advantage whenever compared to other currencies, people keep sticking to calling it the grandfather of all crypto. Heck, people even use the word Bitcoin whenever talking about any sort of crypto related stuff. Me personally, I don't see ETH reaching or surpassing Bitcoin ever.

Dude but still you can't complain about a 5% vat that is next to nothing. Still a safe haven if you ask me given that low tax rate.
Totally agreeing with you! Have visited countries where VAT reaches up to 25% on some products, so 5% is basically you taking care of your country the way you are supposed to. Smiley

Re: Сryptocurrency Phobia - new social phenomenon
by
JureViewly
on 25/12/2017, 22:46:23 UTC
You have to see this phenomenon from a point of view like you are totally ignorant. Imagine yourself being used to handling with things that you can only feel and see. Also all your agreements and contracts with the banks are somewhat protected by your government or a bigger entity. People throughout the world are technically uneducated and afraid to live in the modern world. For example, many people avoid socializing through social media, paying with digital currency, owning/using crypto etc. Damn I even know of people that only bought a PC to communicate through Skype and nothing else. I hope that the youth will accept the new world since they are supposed to build it and develop it in the future.

People are saying it's a bubble since the early days, there is a nice tweet I have to find... anyway Bitcoin had at least 5 bigger corrections only this year, followed by higher high.
Always do your own research.
Merry Christmas.

Re: Bitcoin's price is getting low
by
JureViewly
on 22/12/2017, 15:33:50 UTC
I will like you to see it in 3 ways.
1. See it as a correction that was bound to happen anyway, after the huge non stop buying for months now.
2. See it as whales cashing out and some noobs getting scared and selling at losses. (they will get to learn from experience later on)
3. See it as a Christmas gift, if you want to get in at a lesser price because later on, this year or next year, we are coming back at some point to test back the previous top. Some call it black Friday for crypto shopping.

Jokes apart though, there is really nothing to worry about. You are welcome to the volatile world of crypto. It is a bloodbath out there right now and they happen once in a while. It will pass and forget anything else you are hearing.
I think it is because a summary from the 3 reasons above that made this huge down fall. But I wil keep hodling my coins and will se what 2018 brings.

Same here, those 3 ways explain everything that is happening and it is not the first time, so let's enjoy Christmas and happy holidays for everyone.

1M is too much. I am holding as much as I can. Will just sell if I need to.

I agree with holding as much as I can and also with selling if needed. No point in not being liquid if you need to be.

Most people are now busy preparing for Christmas. Buying gifts, attending parties, etc. I myself did a lot of profit taking to be able to celebrate the holidays in style. Would love to give bitcoins as a gift.

Bitcoins as a gift for the Christmas, sounds like a great idea, we should make a BitcoinTalk Santa Smiley

Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy?
by
JureViewly
on 17/12/2017, 19:44:41 UTC
Honestly, I don't feel that you should call a person who believes in Bitcoin and has invested time, money, patience and nerves greedy. How would you call the ignorant people who are "staying away" and spread FUD even though they don't mean to do that? Would you bash them and insult them? No - it's simple, they are not ready for this kind of change. Hopefully people will get more educated about everything related to Crypto in the future and there will be less and less arguments and everyone can go their separate ways.

If you hold BTC then holding is your best option while price is surging if you want to diversify then maybe go with 80% given the current price and rest look at the blockchain activity and decide which one is the better one and invest.
A good resource for that is http://blocktivity.info

Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins?
by
JureViewly
on 29/11/2017, 20:45:44 UTC
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

If you compare it with your silent money in the bank, better invest 30% - 40% of your money to buy bitcoin. Let money work for you, not you who work for money.

I agree, never invest all of your money into one thing, you are better off moving a percentage of your money into Bitcoin and let it sit there and don't touch it.

Re: Why etherium is rising significantly?
by
JureViewly
on 28/11/2017, 12:53:16 UTC
Is there any reason why etherium is on the rise recently?
Its already uped by 10%+

I think its because almost coins new born tokens and coins are base on ethereum platform,,thats why eth is in demand this time. So Much better to hold eth,  hopefully it will be touch  500$ or more soon.  Thats only my thoughts.

You're right. Thanks to the creation of new tokens on the ethereum platform and the conduct of the ICO, its popularity is getting higher every day. It has a real prospect to reach the new year mark 500 $.

I agree, according to CMC it almost broke $500 yesterday reaching $493.40 and started the correction. The current value is $469.41
Yes, ICOs do help the price pump but I think also projects like Raiden help.
