So, what is the general consensus? Is SimpleFX safe to trade on? Did a lawsuit ever happen?

SimpleFX are you safe?

Who provides the liquidity? Do you make money from swaps and spreads?

The Prime Minister Of Canada Justin Trudeau's brother haha. So I'm sure at Sunday dinner it's been mentioned by him at the very least.

List of World leaders who have mentioned bitcoin?
by

I'm attempting to make a list of World Leaders who have mentioned bitcoin either directly by saying the word 'bitcoin' or indirectly by saying "blockchain technology" or "Financial Technology" or something along those lines.  Does anyone know of a list?

So far I have:

David Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAeON73MImA

George Osborne, Chancellor of the United Kingdom:
http://www.coindesk.com/george-osborne-unveils-uk-plans-explore-bitcoin/

The Prime Minister of Russia:

The Prime Minister of Singapore:

Prime Minister of Canada:
http://allcoinsnews.com/2015/09/02/coinsetter-hires-canadian-bitcoin-advocate-pierre-trudeaus-stepson-as-global-dev-vp/

Barrack Obama, President of the United States:

Janet Yellen, Federal Reserve:

Luxembourg Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna:

I'm trying to include a video or article where they mentioned it for each person.

You could get the Bitpay visa card and then load the card whenever you need to buy something. It'll work anywhere that accepts visa.

Steam will one day reenter Russia. Just give it time. The Russian government is delaying the inevitable and in the process are hurting their own people.

I think countries that attempt to ban bitcoin will only fall behind as the internet adopts it.  Those countries that 'ban' it won't stop people from using it necessarily, but rather will stop exchanges from being created.

    • Fill your trolley with high end goods, and when cashier says BTC not accepted, just walk out.

    >Fills up trolley with high end goods
    >Electronics, new Tv, new blender, overpriced kitchenaid mixer
    >Thousands of dollars worth of stuff
    >Go to counter
    >Asks if they accept bitcoin
    >Cashier says "Yes we do we started last week!"
    >mfw
    >Ends up paying thousands of dollars worth of bitcoins for stuff I don't need
    >Now has a second kitchenaid mixer to go with the one I already don't use
    >mfw

i think he is talking about core, i do agree that a modern restyle may put average joes, on a better position about running it on their machine, but it's not prioritary now
It is not priority? ok but more pleasant looks could have better user experience, and i don't think they would take much effort, if average altcoins can have better looking wallet then we could have a problem in the future.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. I understand that it may not be a priority nor do I think it should, but I also imagine that it would improve user experience without taking too much effort.

I don't get why there isn't much improvement on Bitcoin wallet GUI's. They all look so basic and old. Whats stopping them from getting a makeover?

Have you seen Airbitz? You might like its look.

I have not seen Airbitz! I'll have to take a look.

Which wallet GUI your referring to? If blockchain.info then IIRC, some that have upgraded to the new version, stated some changes in terms of it's look but from what I've noticed, wallets GUI isn't that important as long as their functionality is what it's supposed to be so can't really see it as a priority to any wallet provider.

I was refering to Electrum and Core mostly. I get that the GUI isn't that important but shouldn't it have improved somewhat by now?

Re: How many btc do you have?
    by
    Jushe
    on 29/04/2016, 20:13:54 UTC
What is a good amount to have? Is there some kind of club if you own a certain amount?  Like the 21 btc club or some shit? What is average, and big pimpin?

I never go lower than 21, is that good or bad?

I own 22.5 BTC. Is that good enough?
You now own just over one-millionth of the total supply of Bitcoin ever, if you think that's an achievement for yourself then that's good for you.

I personally can't imagine ever having 22.5BTC, so I would say that yeah, you are good. There will only ever be, at most, 1 million people that will hold more Bitcoin than you, and that would be if it was distributed equally.

Much less than 1 million will have 21 bitcoins. If you own 21 bitcoins there's probably only about 100k people with 21 bitcoins right now. In the future it will be far less.
