Hi All~
It has been a while since I have posted, but reading this book of a thread is a glorious thing.  Grin

Ever since I first called him out in the summer of 2014, I always knew justice would [eventually] prevail...

Below is what I shared then, which I would like to share again as it seems more appropriate now than ever. ENJOY!

Well, for better or worse, hopefully this error to the global gene pool will finally receive a portion of the justice due to him. It has been almost 3 years since I first called Garza both out in public and although I honestly lost serious interest in this ongoing nightmare almost 2 years ago, it is what it is. Life is too short and BTC is now too valuable to only reflect on "what could have been" if various SCAM's like those of GAW, BCS, Crypsty, and numerous others didn't waste away our (virtual) fortunes, but you live and you learn.

Moving forward, this dragged out process should only keep all those concerned focused on calling out and making sure the latest wave of "questionable" ventures are kept in-check and not allowed to repeat the infestation of the industry many allowed GAW/Garza to do. Specifically, Marco Streng of Genesis Mining should be watched like a hawk as his scheme appears to reaching an unsustainable peak. Take this advisory from someone who he and his minion basically scammed in 2014 to further grow his small (at the time) outfit and to this day owes thou$ands in never-sent payouts.

With all this said, Happy Monday All! I may not be around much anymore, but I am still "reading the mail".

Happy New Year to ALL! I hope 2017 is a great year for everyone... well, almost everyone. ;-)

I have been away for a while now, but just wanted to jump back in to the mix and see who's still around. From the looks of it, this horse still isn't dead. I have a lot of readying to catch up on...

Hey welcome back scott. I remember when MrCoins did publically call you a liar and troll. Did he ever apologise to you personally about that? Learning from the past you think would be acknowledging and righting your past wrongs Smiley.

For others here scott was quite clear and correct in his initial analysis and was criticised for it. I believe he even got cease and desists and the like fake and was on the official hit list garza had where he wanted his cronies to dox etc and take him out. Be nice to know who was on that inner circle hit crew.

What you been up to scott? should frequent here more.. the evolution of this virus can be amusing at times.

Hi there. Long time - no talk. I have just been busy with my own business ventures and travel. Regardless, I am still around and do my best to keep up with the latest developments surrounding this drama as it happens. Yes, I am a recipient of a Garza love letter from his L.A. attorney (at the time). If you want a chuckle and a small trip down memory lane, here it is: http://sgb-e.com/pr/cd.pdf

No, "Mr-Coins" nor any of the other Garza coconspirators have ever apologized to me directly. Oh well...  Roll Eyes

A quick advisory to those who have been around here for a while and a flat-out warning to those who are somewhat new -

BEWARE OF "Mr-Coins"...

Ever since his days of teaming up with Garza to bash me publicly after I first called out the GAW operation SCAM in August of 2014, he has been playing BOTH sides with only one focus; to further his own agenda (whatever that may be).

In my opinion, "Mr-Coins" cannot be trusted or even acknowledged as anything other than a scammer who has learned from among the best.

Time for those of us who were attacked and received one or more GAW directed C&D letter(s) for initiating the numerous red flag raisings in 2014/2015 to have a pleasant get-together. The first round is on me..."and you can quote me on that."  Grin

Scott,

Do you have any grounds to attack back at the law firms sending the cease and desists as they are false cease and desists?

I really wish that attorneys had to have evidence that their client is telling them truthful facts when dispatching these such stupid notices?

I'd love for someone to email that solicitor office with the following.

Re: Cease and Desist

We the people ask that you cease and desist sending false cease and desists. We the people and any court of law would know that the wild claims by a past client of yours (see GAW) for profits are in no way possible. Your blind representation of such a known scam has caused irreversible and long standing damage to the cryptocurrency community as a whole. Please immediately cease all such activities of representation unless you have hard facts and background proof of such claims on citizens before irresponsibly accepting monetary funds to send careless letters.

If nothing else filing a complaint with the bar association might cause the layers some issues if not getting them disbarred.

One problem I see is that cease and desist letters are not from what google tells me legally binding documents that require a response or action you can bin them and laugh at will.. they also don't have to be signed by a lawyer they can be sent by the law firm on behalf of the client. So from what I gather they are a pretty much free form of harassment for law firms it only costs them the price of an email or letter and they bill their client to send it. Personally I think on this basis they can mass send them and its no wonder fox studios (here comes my c&d letter) use them so much.

Honestly its a form of bullying whether they are right or wrong they'll still send them. If you cased someones house and each day followed them verbally saying stop it stop it stop it or we'll send someone to get you, then you'd be up on charges.

I think at the least law firms need to have some sort of accountability to who they represent. You shouldn't be representing people you don't believe to be innocent that's just defending the wrong... its different if they tell you they are innocent and they aren't but cmon surely these so called smart lawyer individuals aren't so dense they can't see the obvious ones right? If they are guilty as sin their extent of action should be to reduce the sentence and not get them out of a sentence full stop.

Have we got any law students here? I'd be interested to know if there are avenues to pursue to attack a firm back for cease and desist letters once proven that you were speaking the truth? Isn't their cease and desist letter when wrong technically libel? Its a written form attacking you saying you a telling lies? SO... ?

Well, some attorneys, like this one, believe a simple informal email communication with an attachment is just as legal as proper process servicing measure that have been established for decades. At any rate, I was ready for it and my one/only reply is below.

Read the last few pages of this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703

The impression I got is that Cryptsy emerged after years of small-time Intertubes scams - penny auctions, referral schemes, blog spamming etc - perpetrated by a group of misfits who then discovered Bitcoin and suddenly they became this massive financial institution or at least they would like you to believe so. Professionalism and general business acumen doesn't seem to come into play there.

It has now basically been a year and I am STILL trying to figure out GM's true business model. Let's see... I give them US$1750 for 100MH in early Sept. 2014... within 60 days, they drop the payout by over 70%, which did not map out to the rest of the industry... within another 40 days, they give us scrypt customers a choice... convert to SHA mining or risk having our [LIFETIME] contracts terminated. The icing on the cake is they insult us scrypt customers by only offering us 1GH per 1MH, which everyone knows should be at the very least 20GH per 1MH (circa Sept/Oct 2014). What does this equate to? Again, after (1) year of them playing with my $$ and systematically reducing their payouts to their early adopters, they have paid me back less than $330 of the $1750 I invested with them. Specifically, their daily payouts to me are less than US$0.07 per day at this stage so it can be concluded I will never reach anything near a ROI within my lifetime.

This industry is already full of enough scammers and GM's actions do nothing to promote them as a viable and HONEST service provider. Sooner or later, their unsustainable practices will be their undoing.

=================
Looks like another major (over 40%) reduction in payouts for August 2015 is on track (see below). Coincidence or intentional? You decide...

Volder started questioning Joshs motives pretty early on. He made multiple posts on hashtalk asking questions thaqt everyone wanted to know. So much to the point his account got banned or shadowed at least once.

Volder was a true supporter until at least mid-December, 2014. Although I have no ill feelings towards him, he was warned of what to expect as early as late July/early August of 2014 and chose to stick with it.

Suchmoon,

These are reasonable questions, thank you!

Looking back, not sure what timeframe I was looking at (may not have been strictly the 30 days before my post, I apologize, got a little offended by the valuation of 12.5 btc), But all our sites are 13.415 in revenues so far this month. A complete report divided by site will be published at the end of the month broken out by BitcoinRush and Peerbet/Bit777.
No need to be offended. It's just business...nothing personal.

With that said, I have ventures all over the world and have been doing this (consulting, new start-ups, reorganization, etc.) for almost two decades. Regardless, I find I am expected to repeatedly check my business school degree at the door when it comes to enterprises within this specific industry and accept how very little maps out to reality and even less is proven legitimate after full third-party vetting has taken place. Unfortunately, I don't play that way. So, it is what it is.

Either way, as I said, good luck.

In reality, this venture is only worth approximately 12.5BTC in my opinion and that is being generous for a very volatile crypto gambling project that has no long term (and verifiable) history - unless you subscribe to the notion that 2-3 years (including the "early years") of pieced together collectives in any industry can be considered a long term foundational singular history, which I do not.

At any rate, good luck with your sale. If you truly consider the operation is worth more than what I mentioned above, I suggest you keep it and milk it for as long as you can by delegating the daily workload off to others while enjoying your cocktails on your private beach with the huge profits you project.

Take care,
Scott

Purchased only 6 months ago to use while on a one month long European business trip so I didn't have to lug my large Dell Procession mobile with me. This little beast worked great and served its purpose well. Since my return, however, it has been sitting on my desk unused so I am going to offer it for hundreds less than my investment to a good home.

The unit has a perfect screen with no dead pixels. There is also a screen protector that has been installed since day one. I will also include the matching writing stylus, backlit Surface Pro grey/black keyboard, grey/black MS Bluetooth slim mouse and a third party Ethernet+USB Hub adapter. A new/never used MS supplied carrying case and currently utilized ESR hard folio case are also included. All the original packaging and copy of the MS store receipt dated 02/21/2015 will be provided to the buyer for the MS complete care warranty purposes (yes, if you have any accidents and/or hardware issues, you can trade it in for a new unit up to 2 times in the next 18 months for a flat $49.95 deductible per incident).

Although still considered mint, the power adapter does show some use from being in my travel bag and sitting on hard hotel/office floors in 6 different countries. Likewise, the unit itself looks unused with the exception of a VERY small "kiss" my phone made on the upper right edge where it meets the plastic ESR casing edge (see pic). It is something not noticeable unless looking for it in certain light and has not bothered me - and I am very picky. Again, the unit still has 18 months left on the warranty and drops/accidents are included. I have over $1550 invested, but I am looking for only $1100 worth of BTC shipped via FedEx Ground (4-business days) with tracking/insurance within the USA. Get a GREAT device with a free upgrade to Windows 10 this week!

Notes:
USA Buyers Only Please.
Although I am open to professional Escrow (at the buyer's expense), I am known here and elsewhere on the web, including my work with the latest Dogecoin Foundation and Reddit. I do not scam nor do I condone it so don't even attempt it.

Current BTC exchange as of 07/26/2015: $1100 =  3.784 BTC
