can we get a normal exchange? cryptopia is worse than c-cex..
I'm new to Cryptopia, but it seems fine to me so far. Any reason why you feel it's worse than c-cex?
You can see, Cryptopia has had a lot of dirty and died coins.

I see. Noted. I need to catch up on the history of these smaller exchanges.

If Zdash can outlast Zclassic, I think there will be interesting times ahead! Tough to do, but not impossible. If responsibly handled (and I have no reason to believe it won't be) the premine gives Zdash an advantage... the ability to attract devs to work on the project.

It's really time this great wallet gets its own sub-forum within Alternative clients, along with a few others that are already there (MultiBit, Electrum, etc).

Absolutely agree. Great wallet and certainly deserves its own sub-forum. Will make tracking the very active development so much easier.

Would it be any live stream?

It would be awesome...

Good luck, Mr. Snow & co. there seems to be a lot of expectation about Factom, I really like it.

I am not aware of a live stream, but Bitcoinist.net say they will delay broadcast the entire event.

This morning, when I open my Mycelium.. it show that I have 0 BTC! It was shocking to know my 0.01 BTC went missing..
Phew, after sometime.. it become 0.01 BTC again.. Hmm.. what's wrong with it? I am afraid this happen another time and I make another backup.. Smiley

I had this same experience. It only occurred once; I believe it was the first time I opened 2.1. The price popped up as usual, but the balance for my selected HD account showed 0 BTC. Had me worried, but lasted only a few seconds before the correct balance appeared.

Like you pointed out, there's a fundamental difference between the transfer of a bitcoin, and the transfer of a token that represents a claim on some external-to-the-blockchain property.  In the later case (asset-backed tokens), all that is transferred is ownership (and ownership is really a social construct, valuable only to the extent that one's society is willing to enforce property rights [as control of the property in question remains a physical problem]).  In the former case (bitcoin), what's transferred is control itself.

Thank you. This is brilliant stuff.

Moon?  i lol'ed:

"So I said OK well let's assume it's something like gold—There's a finite amount of it," Pal said in an interview with Grant Williams on Real Vision Television. "There's a finite amount that's been mined. The rest is underground. We kind of know how long it's going to take before all the gold is mined or before all the bitcoins. Put them in the same kind of equation we get a value of bitcoin and that value is a million dollars. Now, you'll never hear an analyst say this—but I don't mind this—I could be wrong by 90%, and it's still worth $100,000."

http://uk.businessinsider.com/raoul-pal-on-bitcoin-2014-11?r=US

I suggest you watch the video at the end of the article if you haven't already. Much more interesting than the article.

Only at the end does he drifts into nonsense suggesting gold will be improved to allow for currency use. It seems he hasn't accepted yet that Bitcoin is effectively gold's replacement but he definitely understand its value proposition

Thanks for highlighting the video. Great interview, especially if you believe in both gold and bitcoin.

In case the problem with a transaction not showing happens again, could you please mail the transaction hash to developers@mycelium.com once you encounter the error? (We will see the mail faster then we see posts here.) We can then check whether there is anything strange in our servers concerning that specific transaction. Smiley

Sure

Are you sure your device had a working internet connection?
Did you do some funky stuff with the same master seed on multiple devices?
(we just recently fixed a bug for that scenario, where balance and transaction history would not update correctly)

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. No funky stuff at all. As the BTC price was updating, I must have had a connection.

I understand the ASUS phone I am using has a heavily customized UI. As I’m no expert, I was thinking that might be the cause of this problem, as well as the issue I previously reported where the top bar of the Accounts page disappears sometimes. (The disappearing top bar issue is easily remedied by forcing a refresh by rotating the phone.)

It seems like an incoming transaction showed up in my Mycelium 2.0 only after about 20 confirmations (about 3.5 hours delay). Is this possible? I’m pretty sure I was looking at the right account.

You must have looked at the wrong account. I usually see transactions the moment they are sent. Have not experienced any delays except of course for the confirmations.

I too have not experienced any such delay before. So I guess you must be right. My tired, old eyes are starting to play tricks with me.

Just got around to organizing my Mycelium 2.0. Thanks for a great HD wallet app. I am looking forward to “growing” with this wallet as the Mycelium team continue to add features as I’m sure they will going by their track record.

BTW, Item 3 in the online Help needs editing now that single address accounts can be backed up. It would be nice if transaction and Account labels could also be backed up.

I realise that one of the “philosophies” behind the Mycelium 2.0 wallet is to take users away from managing addresses. The UI as it stands basically requires users to use receiving addresses in sequence as they are offered up.

However, with the availability of BIP32/39/44 key/address generators, it is easy to generate forward addresses online/offline using our 12 word mnemonic code with or without password. For a particular Account, a user might want to generate receiving addresses, say, 1 to 10 and give them out to one party who is going to make regular payments to him. I have tried simulating something like this with the testnet version and everything seems fine.

1) Are there any issues with using 2.0 in this way?
2) Could future versions of Mycelium offer the option to generate forward addresses within the application?
3) How far out in a chain, over unused addresses, does 2.0 scan to look for funds?

I have managed to repeat the condition I described above. Firstly, when no Account is highlighted, the top bar is NOT entirely blank, I was mistaken previously; it has only the logo and menu icon. Secondly, the condition seems to occur when switching to the Accounts page immediately after a transaction. Thirdly, the condition goes away if I change the view to landscape from portrait. I have screenshots if you need them.

I have not used a HD wallet before. This looks really interesting and should be great once finished.

In the Accounts Tab, the top bar can disappear altogether. That is, the top bar is blank when an Account/Address is highlighted (blue) and even when nothing is highlighted. Meaning, both versions of the top bar ((tick, edit, archive, menu) & (logo, +, lock, menu)) are not visible. The condition was temporary and I am not sure what I did before the top bar returned to normal. I could not reproduce the condition. Note that swiping to other tabs and going back to Accounts did not resolve the issue.

That makes sense. How would it send the change to a brand new paper wallet automatically, though? It seems like you'd need to print a new paper wallet with your Entropy device ahead a time, and then it would have to prompt you for the that paper wallet's public key at the time of your transaction.

An option allowing you to select the Change address would allow you to enter the address of an Entropy generated paper wallet whose private key has never been on an online device.

I guess it is a trade-off between keeping the app simple and eliminating an additional transaction where you sweep all your coin into a new paper wallet. This of course is an issue only for those among us who are uncomfortable reusing the same paper wallet after a Cold Storage spend.

Thank you Rassah for your reply earlier.

Secondly, if Mycelium feels that there is little use/demand for a Send to Multiple addresses feature, then please consider including the option to select the change address in Cold Storage spending. I realise Mycelium have great faith in the security of their cold storage spending feature and I am sure for good reason. However the idea of sending all change back to an offline generated paper wallet (using my soon to arrive Mycelium Entropy device) that has never touched an online device is very comforting.

It is very comforting, or it isn't very comforting? Not sure what you meant here.

What I meant to say is this: Currently Cold Storage spending sends all change back to the same paper wallet. The private key of this paper wallet has now been touched by an online device (though Mycelium have explained that their process keeps things quite safe).

My request, and I remember a similar request elsewhere in this thread, is that we be allowed to send change to a different paper wallet-- a brand new paper wallet-- whose private key has never been exposed to an online device. If this were possible, I would feel very comfortable.
