looking for a bit of a confirmation on a build before I go out and throw down $2000+ on it:
MSI Z87-G45 GAMING ($160) 2*600W power supplies (full 600w on 12V) ($40 each BEFORE a $15 MIR) cheap celeron processor (about $50-70) 2x2gb ram ($40) 6x Sapphire R9 270X dual-x ($240 each) 6x usb risers ($25 each)
USB w/ BAMT keyboard mouse monitor
Does this look like a good build? Ive read the sapphire cards can be pushed into the 450-480 khash range, so 2.7Mhash/s for about $2250. ($0.80/khash) I plan to use either a milkcrate or a shoerack and a few zipties to hold everything in place.
My biggest concern is of being late to the game. scrypt ASICs are close, and will offer about 1/10th the power draw. I expect these to roll-out on a large scale in the next 2-3 months. The GPU rig would require about 6-9 months to break even - maybe 3-4 months if mining doge, having BTC value rebound, and considering a 50% resale value on the components to gamers.
Seems expensive to me.. I'm running 4 x 280x's which gets me about 2.7 and I paid less then 1700 for everything along with a 5 slot mobo, 2x700w psu. I did have an extra hard drive, and ram though. I also didn't waste money on usb risers either..
There is website that is being built that can take most Dev jobs and soon programming will be so easy that anyone can do it.
Jobs evolve. Do you think there are still jobs for people who repair typewriters? Jobs becoming obsolete is not bad at all.
^ this..
Also I don't see a "website that can a devs job" coming up anytime soon. Do you know how many programing languages there are? Do you know how complicated it is to build a custom, quality website?

You do know there are other ways to invest.. Not just bitcoin or gold, I'd suggest talking to a finical adviser about your investment options.

Time to jump back on the coin mine. I didn't have much time this weekend, but I've already earned enough for another .003 btc to cash out. I'm making more with this then I am with my little asic miners!!

Re: Revenue Share on altcointalk.org - Serious Partner Needed
Oh sorry, I meant SMF.. Mybb and smf are very close, phpbb as well as far as free forums go.
Have you considered a paid forum script like xenforo, ipb or vbulletin? Either of those would provide a much more professional forum compared to smf.
Thanks for the feedback but I have a weakness for making altcointalk look like bitcointalk
That's to bad, but I wish you luck.

I'd offer to help, I have a decade of managing forum experience but I would not be interested in using mybb. If you want to use a professional forum software then hit me up.

To try and get back on topic, I'd like to own some gold. I've been picking up silver lately to add to my collections, I'd like to add gold as well. What I'd really like is one of the bitcoin coins in silver and gold each with 1 bitcoin loaded on them.
