Just a thought: What about contacting youtubers like ex. PatTheNESpunk, AlphaOmegaSin, ETC News and NCIX Tech Tips. About a news tip that Gamers are now able to earn DigiByte altcoin for free, just by playing LoL or CS:GO? Maybe one would bite and make a report of it.

I am not that good in the english language and in the full details of the inner workings that I think someone else should contact them. There are many other youtubers that could also be contacted. What are your thoughts on this?

A block chain is a transaction database shared by all nodes participating in a system based on the Bitcoin (or other curency) protocol. A full copy of a currency's block
chain contains every transaction ever executed in the currency.

26) What is OP_RETURN?
OP_RETURN is a script opcode used to mark a transaction output as invalid.

27) What is the difference between a full node an an SPV wallet?

is a  method for verifying particular transactions were included in a block without downloading the entire block. The method is used by some lightweight Bitcoin clients.

28) What is a deterministic wallet?
Deterministic wallet is a system of deriving keys from a single starting point known as a seed.
The seed allows a user to easily back up and restore a wallet without needing any other information
and can in some cases allow the creation of public addresses without the knowledge of the private key.

29) Explain the difference between a public and private blockchain
A private blockchain is just like a public one when it comes to the distribute aspect of the data, multiple computers (nodes) are comneceted
through a protocol and they exchange transactions and help mentain a common ledger.
Unlike a public one the private blockchain is behind a firewall and can only be mined by computers that are on that network.
It is also generally used just within a company, behind their firewall and is only available to the emplyees and systems on that company.
You can say a public blockchain is a democracy where all the computers and organizations decide together where they are going and what changes to implement.
In a private one, there is generally a dictatorship because everything is owned by one company.

30) Explain the difference between a permissioned and permissionless blockchain
PERMISSIONLESS
In order to contribute to the processing of transactions and have your ‘vote’ counted, you do not need a previous relationship with the ledger,
and your vote does not depend on having a prior identity of any kind within the ledger.
PERMISSIONED
Transactions are validated and processed by those who are already recognized by the ledger.
Your vote counts proportionally against everyone else’s, based on the specific rules of the ledger.

I wasn't at the conference.  But, from what I've heard, Jared gave a great presentation on the role of public and private blockchains, and how DigiByte works to provide solutions and services.  Those are the facts.  And the facts don't have anything to do with hype or marketing.

Congratulations Jared.  It's great to have an active developer who contributes to the larger perspectives and approaches that shape how consumers and companies adopt digital currencies.

I think it's a testament to Jared's professional management and development that he is not trying to hype up his contribution for personal gain.  It would be tacky and unprofessional if he were at the conference trying to pump up the exchange value of DGB.

The conference was March 3 and 4.  I just got home from work on Friday, but as I write it is 2:00 a.m. in Johannesburg.  So, the meetings wrapped up the the second and final day.  People went to dinner, then they went out to have a few drinks to celebrate.  I hope Jared went out on the town and had a great night to celebrate a great conference.  If I were going to the conference I would have extended the trip through the weekend to have some time to see the sights for a couple of days.

It's amazing that people are upset that he didn't run back to the hotel room to get onto to babysitTalk to help you clear your open orders on poloniex.  It's not his job to help you profit from trading.  He's doing a great job contributing, building services, developing, and defining a professional standard for digital currency applications.  It should make us all proud to have him as a developer of DGB.

Congratulations to you again Jared.  Hope you have a great trip.

Very well said!

Guys how useful would a raspberry pi image that's loaded with all the necessary components of a DigiNode be? If there is enough demand I'll get on it.

I don't really know are you asking the devs for an opinion or us peasants, but I would most definitely have use for it. Smiley
Every DigiByter should want one of these, as it’s a great way to help support the network, dedicating an affordable computer to it!

Hhahah I was asking both Kahvi Cheesy

I will create a downloadable raspberry pi image that contains all the tools needed to run a node with a tutorial etc. to set it up in the next few days (hopefully, if i get some time Tongue).

Which Pi will this software run on ?   I have a few old ones but I want an excuse to buy the new Quad core version :-)

I will probably make it such that its compatible with most versions or maybe i'll make two one specifically for the old pi and one for the new one. You shouldn't really need an excuse to get the new one though, the rpi 2 is AWESOME Tongue

That would be incredible. I shall wait with patience Smiley

The manipulators can do what they want. DGB today vs pre pump is more valuable you cannot argue this. The market will reflect this soon enough. My point was that looking at the chart (something manipulators pay attention to), and the current state of DGB, this is a perfect buy zone. The pumpers/manipulators will run out of coins due to a strong community that doesn't dump out of fear and move onto another. They have only helped us get the DGB name out there when all is said and done.

haha when btc go's down big time and that will happend u guys sell ur ass of at dgb, and i will show this post again to all you dgb believers and i don't come crying out loud because me and other pro's have warnt you all.

Hey your once again proving your lack of knowledge on crypto trading. If BTC goes down in USD value then DGB will naturally rise in order to maintain its USD denominated market cap. You are seriously not a pro and if you aren't trolling and you're actually fully serious I would seriously considering stopping trading because you are risking your money without having any clue of what your doing.

My answer is simple 2 words panic mode if ur a pro you will understand if not u ur a fish and shut read some post i post before print it out and read it loud amateur.

Rich Ricci sshh!

Well said Bitkapp! Rich Ricci doesn't have a bloody clue. It is comical Cheesy

For those that are interested we are sending 140 txs per second over the test net: http://45.33.31.149/blocks and the network is handling it beautifully with 15 second blocks.

Great work devs! +1

Jr. and up.. That is bs.

I created my account on may 16, 2014 after using it unregistered for a long time. Why is activity and member level measured by comments?

I should be able to vote DigiByte if I so see fit.

I quess I should start posting useless comments to random topics "like meny do" so I can get my jr. level for voting Tongue

(this is the first random useless comment)
