this coin is dead or what ? no exchange is available for withdraw  Huh

https://bci-us.progpool.io supports the new algo ProgPow

Coin is far from dead.  Based on my calculations, when the wallets open, you'll be mining more than you can make on ETH.

I feel pretty burnt here.  I just bought a $6700~ miner and now you can get one for free through your order.

Is there any buyer protection or anything that can be done about this?

Not sure if anyone else is in the same boat but it sucks.

Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI
by

Not to be a big skeptic, but can we see actual mining rewards / performance somewhere?
I get that you say the ROI is 70-200 but I dont see much evidence that its anywhere near that without some serious video/photos its hard to put trust in something without ensuring that it does what you say it does.

What I see is:
1) GPU mining is losing its profitable and ASICs are knocking down the doors, this causes people to find other outlets
2) The OP is probably getting a referral payment for any hardware sales with these two companies (if not, maybe he should? I dont know, being transparent about this would be best)
3) OP has the ability (or could?) to lock the device with a signature to only work with his software, which makes them paperweights if he chooses to do some shady things (not saying he will or thats the case)

I would prefer decentralization in this field, the only way that'll happen is to remove the barrier from entry between the manu and software, middle man are reaping the rewards here.

Re: VCU1525 (FPGA MINER BOARD) - $3,000 to $4,000
by
Kainzo
on 09/05/2018, 20:41:17 UTC
The VCU1525 schematics and bom are available for anyone to produce. I have already sat down with Xilinx (in Shenzhen) and negotiated chip pricing. If there is enough interest, I could facilitate a chip purchase, put the chips on boards and deliver them at a regular price of $4,000-$4,500. To hit a $4,000-$4,500 and stay at $4,000-$4,500 there would need to be at least 1,000 boards sold. If order volume went up to or over 10,000 units pricing could be dropped to $3,000-$3,500 per unit.

You would be able to use the device with the firmwares produced by whitefire990

Any interest?

Payment methods would be Crypto (obviously) and Credit Card / Paypal (identity verification would be required and shipping to your registered / verified address)

So this would require his software? what if I want to develop my own? would I have a paper weight?

I contacted Bittware and they are delaying the release of the crypto version of the XUPP3R.
Looks like I may have missed out.

Sorry, I've been meaning to make a post related to this.  We have been working with the OP to determine the optimal configuration and board for this application, as we have a few to choose from.  The XUPP3R may not be the optimal one, we have other boards, including one with larger core power supplies and even the VU13P instead of the VU9P.  The OP is working to determine the combination of FPGA size, clocks, logic, memory and power use that maximizes ROI.  We do not want to sell you boards that may not be the best fit, that is in no one's best interest.

So you have not missed out, you perhaps have saved yourself from buying a non-optimal board (we actually have not yet taken any orders or shipped any boards to miners so no one is in that camp).  You can still contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we have enough details to let you place an order.
Oh wow, didn't think you guys read this!
Appreciate the response

by

on 09/03/2018, 16:10:31 UTC
To claim BTG you can just use Electrum Gold, https://www.electrumgold.org/

It's the same as electrum, but for BTG instead of bitcoin

ELECTRUMSBTC.ORG  - 928KB -   950,272 bytes - Electrum-SBTC-2.9.3.exe
ELECTROCASH.ORG   - 945KB -   968,192 bytes - Electron-Cash-3.0.exe
ELECTRUMGOLD.ORG  - 1.3MB - 1,380,864 bytes - Electrum-Gold-2.9.3.exe
ELECTRUMB2X.ORG   - 1.2MB - 1,273,856 bytes - Electrum-B2X-2.9.3.exe

They are all copies of:  https://electrongold.org/

All websites that are broken and not linked to original project or supported by the projects.
Also with fake links / unclickable.  But, all have fake clients at only 1MB executable files.

Note:  The image shows the same text for each wallet info.  Sites are IDENTICAL except for the coin name.

All registered to various name/addresses via ilovewww.com; however, all using China DNS

Re: Transfer from GDAX to Bittrex
by
Kainzo
on 23/12/2017, 09:13:50 UTC
A few hours ago I transferred .5 BTC from GDAX to Bittrex. I have done this before without incident and I did the same thing I always do. GDAX say the transfer is complete but Bittrex doesn't even show it pending Huh.

I know everything is slowed down right now due to volume but should I be worried or is this typical when there is increased activity?

I tried putting the GDAX transfer ID in blockchain.info but it didnt find anything (not sure if GDAX transfer ID equals transaction hash though)

Btw I would love to trade on margin insyeaf of dealing with this shit but i live in NY. Further GDAX still hasnt put in my account the $5k I wired from my bank on Dec. 11 (shown by my bank as received by GDAX Dec. 12). WTF...altogether that's over $10k that's missing....

Did you complete this?
I'm having the same issue... i dont even see it on the blockchain.. very very frustrating. been 1+ hours.

Just a little FYI: Seems Bitmain/Hashnest is now blocking ALL USA from making any kind of deposits to your btc/ltc wallets in accordance with the New York Bit license.. Ya they just band all  North America..

Can any one else please confirm that?

Is this even worth it if its 2 months behind?

a month ago the L3+ was producing 1.35 LTC a day, now its down to 0.8 LTC a day... in two months, it'll only do 0.2?

I'm thinking about ordering but it seems the price went from $1300 to $2300 ....

Out of the 300+ currencies, I think only 5-6 will live past the bubble...

Re: Insane power consumption (rx 470 rig)
by
Kainzo
on 28/06/2017, 17:16:29 UTC
My 470 rigs all pull around 900-950W dual mining. ETC @ 27-29 and Sia @ ~260

Say the system accounts for around ~50W, that's 140-150/card. Remove dual mining it drops to 750-800W per rig.

What you need to do:

Reduce core frequency/voltage (either fixed or with an offset)
Reduce memory voltage

All this can be achieved with Watttool and Claymore, no need to actually do a bios flash apart for the straps.

EDIT: didn't see you were using Ethos. You can edit the bios of your card and do the undervolt/underclock with polaris bios editor. You can typically set memory clock to less than 1000mv, try 900 for instance, even if you OC the memory.

I know that with newer 470s I got, it was "impossible" to go below 1V on the core in GPUz, even with an offset. I had to forced it through Claymore (cvddc), shut down completely and lower the memory voltage in Watttool. Then only those GPUs got below 1V in GPUz and even down to about 0.85V or less.

Note: I monitor all my rigs with wall plugs. GPUz gives an indication, but it's just the core Wattage, not the entire card, so like mushtuk says, it isn't an accurate measurement of the actual consumption of a rig.
Can you tell me what an actual offset is?  I'm attempting to do this.
I've reduced mem voltage to 900mv. The core freq/voltage seems odd and has weird numbers like 62258 etc

Thanks for the insight. I'm using a wattage meter to see what im pulling.

I believe the issue stems from the PSU or mobo, I'm changing them out soon.
