Re: Best Thing To Do When Cryptocurrencies Price Dumps!

No matter pump or dump takes place, first of all, you have to remain emotionless and stick to your well-thought plan that must be prepared in advance. The flow of emotions may ruin your plans, so, first of all, you must be cool blooded.

Re: how governments can regulate digital currencies?
by

Decentralization is possible up to some extent. For small players yes, but I doubt there's a fine way to remain anonymous if you have a huge stack. Regulation is required to avoid fraud, but really I don't think that the coverage from the government will eventually lead to good things.

Re: conspiracy theory

That's not a conspiracy theory, that's the truth of life. Of course, the whole market is manipulated, but there are some clear patterns that we can use to understand where we go. For example, the previous bear cycle had a clear capitulation candle, but that's not what we see now (as we lack volume), so I may assume a warmup and a further drop.

Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin?
by
Kakruzo12
on 21/11/2018, 08:37:25 UTC
Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh
Honestly, if I told you that I ain't skeptical right now about the whole cryptocurrency stuff I would be lying to myself. What! The market has been eo decimated to the point of rock bottom. A general market cap of over $800billion in Dec 2017 is now around $160billion. This is frightening for real. From $19k+ to $4,400+ is not a small crash. This is beyond a correction. Something else is happening to Bitcoin.

It's quite in the correction range. Such undervaluation is just okay. If we take %, we can see that it's similar to the previous bear markets.

Re: Is there difference between bank and cryptocurrency exchange
by

If you are authorized, there's no difference. If you remain anonymous on an exchange, then it's different, but in this case, you have limited withdrawal limit, which is different in size for every exchange (for example, Binance allows the withdrawal limit of 2 btc daily).

Re: People who bought BITCOIN at $1000 are now starting to sell, CCN article writes

A very funny thing to read such "news." Of course someone can get afraid of the current situation and sell, or maybe just because of the need of money and the inability to get money from other sources, but the fact is that prices are now relatively low to sell, especially if you bought at 1k and still have good profits.

Good point. At least, crypto is an obvious way to automate payments, which is one of the key components for digitalizing the world we live in. However, crypto may not even be the very best payment thing invented in the XXI century. Who knows what is yet to come.

Re: Where are the true believers of Bitcoin?
by

Come on! Bitcoin is not easy to die like what negative news write. I think the only think we should do is waiting, not buying at that time.

Media always try to play with people's minds. They always cry that it's over when things go bad, and they're also the first "to the mooners" once the market recovers. There's no use to count media.

Make the supply as low as it can get.
Because of that price also that is why too many holders of bitcoin sold it and why we have this kind of price now.

If ever, do not let it happen again.
Make the number of bitcoin be scattered to average people and not to a group of whales who could manipulate the market.

Twitter, facebook and medium. All of this can help once you share the good news.

That may not really help, as manipulation takes place on exchanges, while exchanges doesn't have as many crypto as they claim to have. This actually means they trade air, which is also the reason for sudden "technical problems" occurring at the times of big withdrawals.

i think all we need to do is to buy and hold it ... the price of bitcoin is going up because its getting harder and harder to mine and create more of it

The more people hold, the harder it becomes to manipulate the price.

Re: Sell car for Bitcoin
by

My friend decided to sell his car and invest all the money in Bitcoin as some people predict that 1 BTC will reach 500 000$ till the end of 2019.
He totally believes in it and tells that then he could buy not only a new car but a flat also.

Does it really worth it? He uses his car for his work and now he wouldn't be able to do this anymore as he thinks there's no need to work anymore.
Bitcoin is the worthy investment but this price prediction is false. So you will earn decent profit in next year and most of the long term holders believe the Bitcoin so your investment will safe in forever. My suggestion don't put ball in basket so you could split to invest in crypto then only it make big success.

I told him that in order to become so rich he would need to wait much more time, there's a very small possibility that Bitcoin will reach 500 000. But the only answer is that I don't understand much in it.

Even if it will reach $500 000...don't you think ordinary users won't be able to withdraw/exchange their btc for money? Authorities don't want people to become rich, so why would they allow strangers convert their btc to millions of dollars? That won't happen. Don't be greedy, take smaller profits and convert them into something tangible.

How foolishness whas this?Selling a precious car to invest in crypto? What if the price continue to fall untill 2020 ?Then he will commit suicide?Stupidity is not a behavior cryptonians must be because we are being adviced to Invest only what we can afford to lose, since theres some topic about people committing suicide because of huge losses from their investments

The best way to perform is to invest your own money that you can afford to lose. Selling card or estate looks pathetic or at least very, very unreasonable.

This is a joke, really. What are the reasons behind the $500k prediction? There's a greater change to test the $5000 level than flying up to $500k.

I see your point but for me, banks will soon accept cryptocurrencies because of the development of cryptocurrencies, it will be used all over the world soon.

Only the best will survive. Other will become just pump coins or die at all.

Bankers are people who are only interested in their own material wealth. If the profit from the use of blockchain technology is not reduced, they will use crypto-currencies.

For sure. Moreover, banks can easily create volatility and guarantee profits this way. Such a big tool for whales.

I think that the bank will eventually accept the reality and accept bitcoin in a transaction to make fiat.
Bitcoin will continue to grow, slowly the bank will accept bitcoin and will have its own altcoin and will later create a community by attracting customers or customers. As time goes by it will definitely happen.

Also, seeing what Ripple - the bank's protector - did, it's possible to assume that the most powerful banks will create their own crypto and then manipulating it the way the want. In this case, even btc investments isn't needed. A simple and genius scheme, really. With banks' power, they can easily promote their coins and take advantage of it. It may become a great scandalous of a global scope, but who cares?!

No, I do not believe that. We must admit that what has allowed banks to acquire so much economic power is their ability to understand where capital is, and make the necessary efforts to keep it.

Knowing that banks will never fight against capital, what I see today is a growing interest of banks to incorporate blockchain technologies into their processes, and because of their marked interest in taking over everyone's money, it would not be strange that in the near future we will see banks willing to accept cryptocurrencies to carry out financial transactions.

Banks will be against crypto until they control it. Well, considering it's happening now, chances are banks will make profits of crypto and support it in the nearest future. So what happens now is declining crypto and loading up on it at the same time  Smiley

Re: WHY DO MOST PEOPLE FORGET BITCOIN SO SOON?
by
Kakruzo12
on 17/09/2018, 09:11:43 UTC
We have come to the situation where majority of people are involved in Bitcoin only because of profit.
Unfortunately, enthusiasts are just a few left and the whole idea of Bitcoin has entered into money.
So, when they don't get the profit they expect they get disappointed and leave Bitcoin for something else.
But I hope that future of Bitcoin will not depend on such people.

Good volatility and deflation concept make btc a very good option for both traders and holders. Btc seems to be a great investment opportunity, probably the best one from many aspects, so it will likely continue to grow, although some strong bear cycles are inevitable.

Anytime i see some members of this forum asking "Is Bitcoin dead"?, or "Is this the fall of bitcoin" i just become speechless because it is so shocking to hear that within just six months when bitcoin improved the financial status of people last year without any hard sweating people have forgotten about it so soon. I now understand the saying that "Men forgets easily". Well i can't really blame them but I know the few Real Crypto Enthusiasts like myself still believe in BITCOIN and we are going to keep investing in it because we know that the its value will rise with time.

I think they have not forgotten bitcoin they have just got under the shell after getting hit by massive portfolio rip off. You will see them all coming back with bitcoin to the moon etc tags  Grin when the market recovers a bit and bull run begins.

True. However, it will be hard to see that big bubble, as many people become cleverer and will take their profits. People will be more careful thanks to the previous experience, so it will be harder to reach the previous level unless institutional money enters.
