I know developer was getting married. Has anyone heard back from him yet? I really liked this coin a lot.

Nope. Unfortunately I have not heard from Faith yet... me and my mining group are also on the downside of BELI right now. But we won't lose hope yet. It is possible for a community to support the coin even when the dev is not available right? If so I suggest we all work together to keep our BELIcoin alive and growing. We all need to plan things out properly and carefully. Like what our next move will be. How do we go about our marketing and how do we help the coin grow.

We have been in Chinese marketing belicoin, coordination, developers need to powerful alliances, or you can achieve good results

I agree with you Yang. Can you help market BELIcoin in China? ASk people/investors to invest in BELIcoin and ask miners to mine BELIcoin as well. Your help will be of great value and assistance to this coin. Thanks! Smiley

-1 Wrong! Can't you people just learn how to have faith? Its way too early to claim anything. If BELI is dead then so is Bitcoin. It has dropped down to an alarming 400 U.S. Dollars per coin. C'mon so much negativity means so much lack of faith. You're just like a bitter old man waiting for others to make a mistake and then you'll jump out and yell... "Aha I told you" just so you'd feel good about your sorry little self. Well some things just takes more time to unfold. Some takes unusually longer but if you have faith to see it through to the end. Who knows what good surprises it holds for you as a reward for your patience.

By the way donations sent Wink

Re: Which coins should Bittrex support? Week 3 - Round 1
by

Based on this. This being a public poll means you went out to get the choice of the people. GRD would have been an exception since it was not included in the poll in the first place so were ok with that. But with BCC that's where people will get to think that something is definitely wrong. You clearly mentioned that you add only the coins that get the most support after a week of voting. If that is so. Then why was BCC favored above the 5 other coins that came in higher places above it? Ok so you have other basis of adding a coin. But you have to understand. You included BCC in the poll. If you were so determined to add BCC despite the poll results you should have waited till it was no longer included in the poll. Or you should not have included it in the first place so it would not have created much of a stir. Miners, and investors share the same risk that you take in welcoming new coins. And our risks are even far greater. Because it is our time, money and resources which are used to provide these coins and give it life. If a coin fails it is us who loses the most. Exchanges have lots of options. Given the vast amount of coins in your possession and the amount of daily traffic you have. Wherein miners and Investors don't have much leeway compared to that of an exchange when dealing with risks. So you can never imply that you take risks in adding new coins. It is an invalid argument. Again I simply want you guys to recognize the mistakes being addressed here. Because clearly there were errors committed during the last voting period.

I respect your opinion on this but there is absolutely shared risk when it comes to coins.  We (Bittrex) eat the cost of hosting a coin on our exchange.  While we are fairly agile in our infrastructure and can add coins easily, each coin adds a cost to our exchange in terms of server cycles, disk space, and bandwidth.  Sometimes the coins are SPA, sometimes they are the majority of IPOs Smiley.

Here's where the poll is not absolute and gets fuzzy.  Coins get added to the poll because at some point someone nominated it. Winning the poll gets you into Bittrex the following week.  Sending me an email with a compelling case for why we should list a coin (most of the time it is from miners, not the devs) will get you in.  These emails sometimes come to me after someone has already nominated the coin to the poll.

Most of the time, the case isn't very clear cut for immediate inclusion so we also look at the voting.  If there are reasonable numbers of votes and a decent case for why a coin should get added, we add it.  Sometimes, I'll research a coin after someone nominated it, and reach out directly to the dev team to get it listed.

Anyway, I see your position on this.  Mining and trading has risks and having markets for your coins helps you reduce that risk.  What I can tell you is that if you feel strongly about a coin you are mining, message me about it and I'll be happy to work with you.   I'd love to work with some knowledgeable miners because they seem to know better than I do what is going to be the next big thing.  Smiley

Well at least you answered my questions. I'll just wait till the poll is over to see if you'll keep your word regarding the vote results..

To those who say BeliCoin is dead. You are so wrong. It is only starting to move. The main idea of the BeliCoin is to gather new blood miners out of Anime fans with the help of pre-existing miners like us. What we do is promote the coin, share the opportunity with them to earn funds via BeliCoins and encourage them to support BeliCoins either via mining or direct purchasing of the coin as an investment. In case you are not aware. The main target market of the BeliCoin is not the miner world. As we know it is already too full of miners who  don't care about their coins and only care about mining and dumping immediately. That is why the BeliCoin has chosen to build its community around anime fans and miners alike.

The original designer of the coin "Faith" is still around. He's just busy running around trying to get the coin incorporated into stores and games.

The original Developer of the coin a good friend of Faith's is also still around. Just monitoring the things happening around the coin and studying new and innovative ways to improve the coin.

The original marketing team are still pretty much active. I for example take on the role of marketing in facebook. Via pages that I manage which I directly link up to the BeliCoin fan page. I also provide basic tutorials and how to guides and visual aides for total beginners, since we have started to get anime fans to finally notice the coin and start mining. The mere fact that the people working on the BeliCoin are quite busy these past few days means the coin is still very much alive and is still on the path of growth.

Now if you will ask why we could barely post updates. That's because our team is not that big. We only have a handful of people. But despite that we are working our asses off to give you a growing coin you can bank on.

Latest News about BeliCoin:

Great News!!! BELIcoin has been added to Bittrex and is now open for trading. We would like thank all everyone for your full support!!!

Mintpal may still be a long way but a vote today won't hurt. And it would definitely get us closer to getting into Mintpal. So show your love by sharing your vote there as well.

We also have a new GiveAway event. Please follow the link below for full details:

Just sent in my vote fro BeliCoins (BELI). As far as innovation is concerned it is pretty innovative as well. How? Well let's just say it has a different target market than most usual coins do. BTW heard BELI placed 3rd last week. But was not included? I hope they ain't shittin with the voters. And that this ain't no fixed voting where winners are already pre-selected despite what appears on the vote results.

If you win the poll, you are guaranteed to get listed.

Your quote is simply not true. Last week the voting result was discarded without prior notice that other criteria were in place. Can't you see that those 'high voted' coins are all bribes and not real interested people? They just want to receive a penny for voting but they will not trade good money on your exchange.

Now I don't care about your exchange anymore, you guys waste a lot of good effort and likely miss out on revenues.

When you add the other two coins that were in top 4 last week I will concidder to visit your site again. They deserve to be listed.

The poll result wasn't discarded.  There is a clear end time for the poll every week.  And we are adding the top 2 coins from the Week 2 poll.  Q2C won and 888 came in second.

Really now? What about the other two coins that were neither in the top 4. Yet you still included them. Remember that you added 4 coins from last week. I'm quite surprised even after being ripped of the last voting poll people still hopes that their coin will be added. When those behind the voting poll seems to only add the coins they wish to add. Oh well we'll see this week. If the results still gets bypassed I'm adding Bittrex to my list of "Exchange Sites to Stay Away from guide" in my blogs so at least people will know about it. And don't hate me for doing so. Its just the right thing to do. Smiley

I don't hate you.  You need to do what you think is right.

We don't take any bounties or donations for launching a new coin in our exchange. We look for coins that have high community demand, innovations to cryto-coin technology, or a contribution to science or humanity. And we often take risks on new coins.

As I've stated repeatedly, this poll is one of the ways we add coins to our exchange.  If you win the poll like Q2C did, you get added to the exchange.  There are other ways and other criteria for inclusion.

Btw, we've launched 888 tonight too.  Smiley

I never implied anything about taking in donations or bounties. I merely stated the fact that is based upon what I saw. Your method of choosing the coins you support bypasses the purpose of this public poll. If you have already pre-decided to include a coin despite the poll results then you should not include it in the poll anymore. So people will not misunderstand your actions. Take last week for example. There were 4 coins on the top list. If you only  added the top 2. I would understand that. However when you ignore the ones occupying the 3rd and 4th slot and then go on and add the coins in the 5th and 6th place instead that's where the trouble begins. Especially when you imply that to get included you simply have to win the voting contest. You should have not included those coins in the poll. If you already decided that they will be added regardless of the poll results.

Here was your results last week:
Additions to Bittrex for the week of March 17th:
888
Q2C - Need their dev team to contact me
GRD
BCC - Bancor Coin

Plus many other surprise coins.

And this was the Poll standings:
1st-Q2C (Added: poll winner)
2nd-888 (Added: poll runner up)
3rd-BELI (Bypassed)
4th-CGB (Bypassed)
5th-XXL (Bypassed)
6th-COYE (Bypassed)
7th-ANI (Bypassed)
8th-BCC (Added: despite placing only at 8th place, therefore concluded as a questionable addition)

Based on this. This being a public poll means you went out to get the choice of the people. GRD would have been an exception since it was not included in the poll in the first place so were ok with that. But with BCC that's where people will get to think that something is definitely wrong. Such result, so wow! I can not believe you had a public poll and then ignored the publics votes! Tisk, tisk. Thank you for the insight into your character and how your operation is run prior to me entrusting my coins. I will be staying clear of Bittrex. Far too much exchange competition out there and I demand an exchange and operators who are straight with me as a customer and the community as a whole. Don't blow smoke up the communities ass. I hope others take a stance here as well. This is sickening to me.

My condolences to the Beli, CGB and COYE communities. You all deserve better than this.

True... I give you a +1 on this...

Rallying up a community busy with their everyday lives is no easy task. How will we get them to vote again if they knew that their votes during the past week were disregarded like it did not matter. I don't think most of them are aware yet but most are waiting for the results to be announced on the BeliCoin fanpage and Twitter. They know that we hit 3rd place. I'm just not sure how they will react once they learn about this incident. Only one thing is for sure right now, it won't be a good one.

I don't get it? Why BELI was not included? Its unfair for all who supported it. its really frustrating how everyone voted but our coin was still not included despite placing 3rd. Other coins who got lower votes got included instead. Its sad how politics has invaded even the crypto world.

Beginner Level. Need Help Setting up Guiminer and kick starting.
by

on 04/02/2014, 05:51:04 UTC
Hi there. As mentioned on the topic I'm a beginner in mining. I run an Nvidia Geforce GT 630 GPU and have downloaded and installed all the new drivers for it (334.67). I have also installed the guiminer, wallet etc...

Now my problem is when I start my guiminer. The prompt "nothing to mine on, exiting" comes up. I tried to download and install an openCl (195.39) for nvidia as mentioned on some forums when I looked for possible solutions, but I am unable to. Before the installation of the opencl (195.39) finishes a prompt that says "The NVIDIA set up program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware" Then it closes down. I'm knowledgeable enough to operate my pc and provide light maintenance to it. But not too technical when it comes to these stuff. I'd like to start mining asap. I hope someone would be kind enough to lend a hand. I registered with slush btw.
