I saw this thread and decided to try these out.

I got the assorted caramel pack. All of them are absolutely delicious! I brought them to work to share are everybody loved them. My roommate even said they were the best caramels he's ever had.

Shipping was fast and they even threw in a honeycomb lip balm (I don't really use lip balms, but either way it was nice and I'm sure I'll find someone to gift it to).

Overall very impressed with the business and I'll likely make a purchase in the future. Definitely a great asset to the community!

Re: 4 GPUs on riser, one card running much hotter than the rest

I see, 2nd card from right has slight less airflow.
swap 2nd on right with first on left and see what temps you get.

Thanks for the reply!
I did try this already, thinking I might have a faulty card but any card in that spot runs hotter. Im thinking it must be something to do with airflow as well, but I've cur out the plastic piece blocking the back and that hasnt helped any. Either has adding a 140mm fan in the front. The only thing I can think of is heat from the motherboard components making air temperature around the card hotter than the rest?

4 GPUs on riser, one card running much hotter than the rest

Last week I finished building my mining rig and have been tinkering around with it trying to get it running the way I'd like.

My setup consists of:
Sempron 140 AM3
Asus mobo
Coolermaster 1000w PSU
XFX 7870(FX-787A-CNFC) x4

Here's a pic of where/what it's sitting in

http://i.imgur.com/yMuQLbb.jpg

I've been having a temperature problem with the second card from the right. It consistently has run 10c hotter than the others. I've tried cutting out parts of the crate in the back to help airflow, installed a case fan directly in front of it, have the card at a lower intensity setting than the others, and have undervolted all the cards (from 1.21 to 1.110 which did help a lot, but only to bring the card to normal operating temperature).

Here's what everything runs at:

Im just trying to find a way to run this rig without crazy temperatures or fans at 100% all the time. Im currently using BAMT so if I'm going to undervolt anymore it has to be through a bios flash, and the next lowest option I have is 0.9, which I think is too low to be stable. Only other option I can see is to have them run in windows where I have better control over the voltage.

Does anybody have any other suggestions? I'm sure there are plenty of people here more skilled at this stuff than me so I'd like to get some input.

Re: faulty riser cables and high temps

Well let me first start off by saying im very new to this, a month ago i wouldn't have known the difference from a gpu to a cpu. needless to say i think ive come far along, built my first working rig, gained alot of knowledge and am impressed with myself to say the least. my system is open frame, gigabyte 990 fxa ud7, seasonic 1250w gold, fx 6300processor, and 3 msi r9 280x gaming gpus (s/n starting in 38). anyway ive been mining for about 2 weeks with just 2 gpus because of very hot temps. usually 80-90c on gpu 0 and 75-80c gpu1. Finally got 3 riser cables after waiting for weeks and tried setting them up to get the 3rd gpu running. After trying again and again i cant seem to get cables working. ive tried all 3 cables on different cards and in different slots. when i pull out cables and set gpus on mobo they read fine minus the heat. but when i attach riser cable i get nothing. checking device manager shows nothing but the single gpu i have on mobo. tho when i have riser on gpu, fan is on and seems like its running. ive also tried plugging in monitor to gpu on riser with no luck. tried only using riser with gpu and nothing on mobo, again no luck, no boot screen, just black. cables i have are 16 x 16 un powered 16x16 powered and 1x 16 powered. i have not tried powering the cables yet as the most ive run so far is 2 gpus.

Also ive heard that an update to the r9 280x bios fixes heating problem but as im still messing with cables that seems like a whole other headace to deal with Undecided not sure if thatd help or if i have the right version of r9s for the updated bios so i could eliminate the cables but would still like to raise the cards for better air circulation. any help is much appreciated.

I think I had a similar problem when attaching a 3rd gpu after I had everything installed and setup in windows. It wouldnt see my extra gpu either. All I had to do was do a clean uninstall/reinstall of the video drivers and all worked fine after that.

Hello, hopping someone might provide some insight to a problem that I've started having with the bitcoin program.

Randomly a week ago (after a restart) bitcoin started erroring out with a failed to load blkindex.dat message. I tried completely uninstalling it (including deleting all data files associated with it) and reinstalling. It works for a day, then eventually errors again. I just formatted and reinstalled windows yesturday and it was working fine, until I get home today and it wont load again, same error.

Anybody have any ideas?

Re: 58XX vs 68xx cards

The 58XX cards are just physically more powerful than their 68XX counterparts, so they always be a bit faster at bitcoin mining.
