There are a lot of people who do not gamble responsibly, some of them don't intend to do that but they just get lost in the process. Some try to control themselves but still finds themselves using funds that are meant for important things like school fees, house rent and so on.
If you are one of these people, here is a way that can help you be in control

A: set a limits; this simply means that you should budget a certain amount of funds for gambling. For instance, if you intend to gamble weekly, daily or monthly, set a limit of how much you want to gamble with and make sure you do not exceed that limit. That's why most casino games has the feature of setting limits.

B: Be disciplined; the above example won't be possible if you are not disciplined or rather when you do not have self control. Be mentally smart when gambling so you don't get carried away.

C: Remove the mindset that gambling will make you rich overnight; of course many people have made huge fortune from gambling but do you know how much these people spent to win such huge profit? Bet with what you can afford to lose and also bet according to your capacity.

D: Don't use money meant for important things like your rent or school fees to gamble. Be very conscious of this at all time.

Op you are right. It is because they want to get rich overnight and they believe gambling will make that happen.
Gambling is not a short cut to get rich, the probability is very slim. Normally, whenever you feel like gambling, make sure you set a gambling limit. When you exceed that limit, stop immediately.
I will advice everyone to set limits in their gambling. It could be daily, weekly or monthly and make sure you adhere to it.

Life may be tough for you at the moment but never give up. Once there's life, there is hope. Everyday we have here on earth it's a sign that we can achieve our goal if we keep pushing.
No matter what life throws at you, never relent.
Know that there is time for everything; a time to be happy and a time to be sad. Things aren't going to be rosy all the time. Don't let your emotions overcloud  your sense of judgement, if you let that happen, you will take decisions that will destroy your life for good.
 
If you noticed you are getting depressed due to  the overwhelming things life is throwing at you, speak up immediately to someone, express how you and seek help. If you don't speak up, your mental health will be affected greatly.

One great thing about social media is that it has exposed a lot of atrocities happening around the world, things that we might never have known about like real time crimes, disaster and injustice happening around the world.
Social media is also a place to learn about new things, culture and also it helps to address issues which helps in real world changes.

The only negative thing about social media is the constant cyberbulling, the false information and spreading of fake news . One's moods can easily get ruined just by scrolling through socal media feed. Toxic comments and people,'s opinion about things makes me wonder if this world is ever going be a better place

Gambling is definitely not a scam. There are lot of people who has benefited from gambling in the past and are still benefitting from it now. For me, I would say it's also a form investment even though its a very risky one. That's why as a gambler, you have to be self disciplined so you don't gamble all your valuables away. If you end up doing that that's when you begin to think gambling is scam meanwhile it is you that is the problem.

I remember years back  before I knew about sport betting; there was a football viewing center close to our house. The noise and jubilation that comes out from there always makes us wonder why people love football so much. Not until I realized the shout and jubilation was because people placed bet on those matches.
So, it's not like they are happy their favorite club won but because they won. 
Do you get excited because your favorite club won or because your ticket won?

A lot of people here seem to misunderstand this post. What the op is saying in essence is that invest what you can afford. If you  can afford 1 Bitcoin get it, if you can't buy what you can. This advice is great because a lot of people want to invest but they feel buying little fraction of it is too small. For me, I don't think is small.
So many people can't buy 1btc at the moment unless you are extremely rich so Op is Right

My investment plan is a long term plan and I believe I will
be would be able to invest the above percentage and leave it for that period of time
I intend investing during the bear market, when the price has fallen because right now it's high. Will keep myself updated while here.

The one that the remote is directly facing that has a little blur down unlike the others that has white substance completely sealed from up to down is the fake drawer .
This is amazing innovative, however, it's scary as well. Imagine you losing the remote . Still not bad; you just break the whole drawer. This can be successful if you don't tell anyone about this whole idea; just you alone

In my opinion, I don't think betting in favour of the public or against should be considered at all time because before betting, one should know about the sports you are betting on..Many successful gamblers took their time to study and analyze these sports. For every time they predict games, they analyze it which should be more important when betting. For public to be in  favour of a particular club is because of their past history and how well they've been performing but that still doesn't guarantee winning. It's not always 100 percent predictable. I have observed now that, it's even public choices  that end up ruining people's ticket. So my advice is this "sometimes don't bet in favor of the public but on how you analyze it yourself"

So I am new here. I would like to get some financial advice from you all regarding investing in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that I have been hearing so much about but still having cold feet to invest in it. I have some funds fixed  in my commercial bank for almost 3 years now that will be due soon. For the past three years, the interest gotten from that fixed money is not much to call that a wise investment decision so I'm thinking of investing in Bitcoin. 12 percent per annum is not that okay for me, just left it there to avoid spending it. Even though, I will just invest a little from that amount to see how it will turn out.
 
I was introduced recently to this forum and I must say, it's an incredible place to learn about Bitcoin. I have learned a lot these past few days. If I had joined this group earlier maybe I would have gotten some Bitcoins to my name.
