Hey, someone told me hashnest is the biggest scam site, why would they say that if it wasn't true?

"You have been told" , that's what Cloud mining is about , you don't actually see the miners .
Some of the cloud mining companies don't even have actual miners running so It's really not recommended to invest on them honestly , better buy more Bitcoin and hold them for after the halving , It's a better investment method .

Don't go with one that you found that has cheap prices.  Sadly cloud mining if full of scams.  A lot of sites do not even have gear behind them, they fake mining.. give you part of what you paid.. and in the end you lose money.

I really like owning gear personally.  You might look at owning the gear and hosting it somewhere.  There are lot's of options out there for this.  But if you do decide to go cloud mine as Phil suggested deffinaly go with hashnest.

will it make money for you I have no idea. but they let you sell the hash pretty easy if you want to quit.

 I have used them and made a small profit maybe 10 btc in and 10.5 btc out.

Never trust a cloud mining site. most of them are just ponzi sites that will scam their customers some day. and in the real mining sites will not be able to get your ROI because the difficulty is very high 

1) You stated yourself that it's an advert at CoinTelegraph and no one likes that anymore.

2) It's cloud mining with an "unbeatable price".

3) No where on their website could I see a photo of themselves or even a fake Google image of a mining facility.

Why do you even have to ask this? It's pretty obvious that it's not legit. They didn't even try to make it look real.

This is the same people running Zeus hash.

Zeus hash screwed a lot of its customers. I would not touch them with a stick. DMD Diamond cloud is the only one I use and the only one where I hit ROI after 18 months.

Newbies mistake which I have seen are common in this forum are :

1. Newbies asking for loans of big amounts without offering proper collateral (This gives them an immediate Red Trust)
2. Newbies think of using faucetbox and clicking faucets will make them some BTC (Wrong, as they will lose a lot of time for just a few pennies)
3. Newbies being lured from some scammers to join under them in ponzi cloud mining (Wrong as newbies will never get their investment back, while they will give a power boost to the scammer to make ROI)

Pretty much these are the most basic mistakes I have seen here, but this list is far from complete.

One of the fundamental mistakes right there.
Remember m8 always treat those cloud mining websites as potential scam.

This oxbtc is one of them. To good to be true offer should awake suspiciousness.
