So I've just come back after two months away. Bitfunder seems to have died... Is there any way I can get my btcQuick shares back?

https://www.btcquick.com/beta/investor/

Oh, that's neat. I've claimed my shares. Just sit and wait now? Do I need to verify my account or anything?

I sent 0.3 btc over to WeExchange just under 2 hours ago and it's still at 0 confirmations.

I've only made a few transactions in the past, but usually I get at least one confirmation within 10 minutes. Has something gone wrong?

Mining on Ubuntu 12.10 with a HD4850 - What do i do?
by
Kasaf
on 11/04/2013, 03:08:30 UTC
I got some old parts from my friends just to try out mining for fun.

I got an old PC and plugged in a HD4850. I then installed Ubuntu 12.10. (I don't really use Ubuntu so i'm not really sure what i'm doing, so please forgive me. )

I looked at this guide here: http://blog.mypapit.net/2011/05/howto-mining-bitcoin-in-ubuntu-using-opencl-py.html

So I followed step one and opened terminal and put in:
Quote
sudo apt-get install python-pyopencl subversion

but I get the following error

Quote
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
python-pyopencl : Depends: opencl-icd but it is not installable
Depends: python-pyopencl-headers (= 2012.1-1ubuntu1) but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: python-pyopencl-doc but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: python-opengl but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Am I missing something? Please help :/

Been looking at different 7950 cards on ebuyer and I've found this one: http://www.ebuyer.com/454252-sapphire-hd-7950-boost-3gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-hdmi-displayport-pci-e-graphics-11196-19-20g

Will I be alright with this one, or do you guys recommend a different 7950?

Thanks for the advice, I've updated the build to this so far: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/PIns

I've been reading a bit about LTC mining, so I was hoping i'd be able to mine those on this rig if the bitcoin difficulty goes too high.

I decided it might be better to start a fresh and build a new rig from scratch.

Does this build seem ok?
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/PB4T

Assuming I can get 900Mhash from the two cards combined the bitcoinx profit calculator says i can break even in around 5 months.
