very strange... please give me "full" miner stat image. If your miner have problem before, my mod not solve this...

Just FYI This S9k Firmware does work on S9SE.
LPM function does not work, But Fan control works. Which is AWESOME!

Hi, yes is good méthode, working for the voltage to ! If you have set 300mhz, replace 0706 by 790mv, on all m'y test 790mw IS lower value stable... Make 790mv and you see you low power and lower temp !

I noticed the fan control option only affects FAN1 and not both of them.
FAN2 runs a full speed.

Thanks for all the help. I have not been home to dabble with S9.
So I tried what you all suggested.
Firmware loaded up nice and quick. Reading as S9k.
MP TEST FIRMWARE!
Giving it a test drive now as see what it comes up with.

using SD card. Red and green light LEDs stay on. 20mins later they are still on. No difference.
Doing upgrade route from web page gives me Cannot Find Signature!!!

Did you have to change permissions anywhere when doing the upgrade via the web interface? I keep getting these errors.

So I managed to get an image file from Bitmain to reset you device. Which i have done back to June 2019. I ran virsh's signature remover to assist there. Now I need to find a firmware that will work on this C5 controller board.
All I am trying to do is underclock it and drop fan speeds.
Is there any firmware for the S9k/SE models?

The SE (and K) are not supported (don't work) with BraiinsOS yet. I think i left various links in that thread pointing for possible methods to regain SSH, but those models came with SSH access disabled from factory because they are 2019 models. I believe you can still control the fans using some html trickery with the factory firmware.
The bOS team plans to add support to more hardware such as the S17 after the next release.
One of the reasons they rewrote cgminer from scratch in rust (called bosminer) was precisely to ease adding more hardware.

Thank you for pointing me to the HTML trickery. Works like a gem. Pain to do every time but better than nothing.
I hope an alternative firmware comes out soon.

Confirmed to be working on Antminer S9SE !! Make sure to save settings and reboot system afterwards. It will still boot up at 100% fan speed but will decrease according to configuration once it starts mining (about 6mins in the S9SE case)

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately the Antminer S9k comes with newer firmware versions that cannot be unlocked like previous editions of Antminer S9. If you are lucky to have a little older firmware version on your S9k, the unlock might work fine.
Any update on this? I recently received a S9se. it came with June 2019 firmware.

It states jumper 1.
I NEED fan control.
So I have discovered the SE is the same as the S9k.
No Four jumpers. only the one jumper. which seems to do jack.

Moral of the story: S9 owners DO NOT upgrade firmware to 2019 version, you will lose SSH access!!!
I wrote that for a reason. Still, you could use an SD card to flash it back using that convoluted T9 firmware method, or simply boot Braiins OS and install that instead.
I don't think S9s should be running any other firmware at this point, unless you have the ancient controller.
With Braiins OS you can improve the efficiency from 100w per tera hash down to around 80w. This alone increased the lifetime of the units against Bitmain's wishes, which is why they responded by locking down ssh access since 2019.
