However, chances of legalising currencies like bitcoins are very bleak, the official said. On the other hand, banning bitcoins is not easy. Simply because one doesn't know who is trading or operating it, he explained.

Quote
"We may monitor these currencies for some time and then see how it progresses. It can then be concluded if at all there is a need for a regulator,” the official said.

I can't believe how fast I jumped into this. Thank you for sharing this. It was an honest, and embarrassing mistake on my part to be praising the convoluted news in some threads.

So I've read the article, and it seems there isn't a legalization at all - but a monitoring, followed by a regulation if they see what they needed to see. It's not at all considered to be a phase of legal adoption.

But maybe to stretch it's the first few steps towards the legalization? Who knows. Only time will tell as usual.

Thats really a great news.I am also from india. There has been a great discussion going on in government sectors for a long time whether to  legalize bitcoin or not.India being the second largest populated country in the world would definitely have a positive impact on bitcoin progress.Already, we saw that bitcoin prise rose high after japan legalized bitcoin.

This actually came as a surprise for allot of members, since as you suggest, the government there is adamant in its legalization ever since... not the case now however! I praise this difficult but necessary addition. These are good waves for bitcoin value, and opportunity for its users in India.

While most were focused on Australia's own adoption and the coming Segwit vs hard-fork, this was severely overlooked.

i think is very good information if india country ready regulation bitcoin
but is not big impact to bitcoin price, if USA reagulated bitcoin, is very big impact to bitcoin price
because USA super power country, and big exchanger from USA, sample poloniex, bittrex and coinbase
It would still have an impact wether it's a big country or not. That would leave or have a good impression on bitcoin still. Adding them on the list of country regulating or legalizing bitcoin is a good one because other country might follow, big or not as long as they see other country doing that.

I do love it when psychology comes into play. It's a somewhat wide-scaled version of the bandwagon effect, where when one group is doing a trend(especially if that trend gives them a sense of "edge"), more groups follow suit. All good news for Bitcoin... for now.

Re: Slow gains and stability
by

A stable period near a big rise is a good sign of consolidation, if it stays at this range and doesn't tread downward for a fairly decent period of time this can be considered a new baseline area. Should be interesting though

Yep. I'm all in with this. The current new "norm" looks good.

Usually stable prices are good symptoms for another rally. I do see markets are gaining momentum for another massive rally hence I am not expecting prices to stay calm till August for positive out come for scalability as markets are known to react for future events, we can expect those to happen from two month before onward too.

This is mostly true, and have some speculation on August or September for some bigger changes in price. For next month or two expect to be stable price. Usually in this time it is stable after everything that is happening.

So we wont experience any change that big for next month or two. Seem like it will be another big gathering and this may be good and bad for price, just hope it wont be dump.

Looks like all anticipated the upcoming event in august. Yes i hope it isnt that bad for us.
So for in two months we're expecting the slowly but surely movement of bitcoin and that's nice.
But for me personally, I want some big pump one of these days for us to grab the chance like that. Convert btc to fiat or sell it. Then it would go back again from its steady price. Hope that will happen just for one day. Oh im really dreaming.  Kiss

On the contrary, I'm seeing a positive move now to $3K. I think the slowly phase has gaining ground now and we may see the elusive $3000 in the next few weeks. It is going to $2800 currently. I don't know if this price can be sustain within the day as some might sell their bitcoin again. I will continue to monitor the price and see how it unfolds.

Yes, that two steps forward one step back movement again and again. I see that 3k psychological barrier cracking. And before you know it, we'll all be in a community that will be in woe whenever the price reverts back to the 2000s hahahha, 3k will be a new solid standard just as 1k and 2k were!. Good times and maybe some necessary bad times ahead.

Also I can't stress enough the surge in Bitcoin value whenever a country's legalization takes place. It's clear that when Japan did so, exchange rates became ballistic, and in the long term helped achieve a new "higher low". This will be true as we will feel India and Australia's influence over the next few weeks.

Suddenly, Bitcoin to Be Officially Legal in India
Leading bitcoin exchange Zebpay revealed that the Indian government committee has ruled in favor of regulating bitcoin on June 20.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/suddenly-bitcoin-to-be-officially-legal-in-india

MOON

Countdown for liftoff.

Ah, even more reason for Bitcoin's value to rise. More legalization = higher values. Welcome India, next stop, Australia. It's time to hold tighter than ever before, and sell some portions once we feel that we are at the apex of this year's big wave.

If I'm paid, I'll invest again, and refer CryptoClone to my business team who would love to join in.

Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world?
by

After the events of last week.

I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?

As of today I want to agree with your associates. Despite all the raves and hype in the news, yes Bitcoin has yet to make a huge impact in the market in general. But I dare say that Bitcoin has the potential to become the strongest currency in the world.

This would take time, ALLOT of time, and mass adoption across the world. There's so many factors... we also need to consider that at a certain threshold, any party that is against bitcoin may become prevalent to hamper its progress, which is already a reality - just make some research around here.

Plenty of other unrealistic conditions have to be met as well. You know how complex the monetary system is.

Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin?
by
Ken1022
on 20/06/2017, 07:21:17 UTC
Certainly not! Most of my previous capital and profits from an earlier business are in Bitcoin now. But some of it are still in the form of goods that will rise in value. I am an investor at heart, it is my passion. A fraction is safely kept elsewhere.

It's quite difficult for someone in my situation and country to establish and maintain a good source of income locally. So Bitcoin became a logical(maybe partially crazy) choice for me. I try to maintain several methods to ensure a certain threshold of profit and loss.

I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?

I hope it's not too late to heed us, but doing that is like placing your own life at risk. ALL your money? maybe if you are crazy, then a majority of it. But if you are wise, half or less. Then adjust according to the experience you will gain and the status of the market.

Please research and study carefully before each move that you take with Bitcoins.

Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency
by
Ken1022
on 20/06/2017, 06:18:34 UTC
Oh... I'm surprised I'm part of the majority of votes.

In the current state of our world, both have to co-exist for now. To get the best out of cryptocurrencies, we need to cash it out into fiat by some amounts in varying intervals. And if we are to get the best out of fiat, we need to invest in crypto during dips. Of course, I'm only stressing the relationship of the two currencies, regardless of other methods of obtaining such.

The world isn't ready for exclusively using crypto yet. It has to first take advantage of both, until for some reason it is no longer beneficial for fiat and crypto to co-exist.

Re: The Crash is gone, and we will see 3,500 usd within 60 days from today
by
Ken1022
on 20/06/2017, 06:10:52 UTC
Ok the crash is gone it felt from 2,700 USD down to almost 2,000 and recover, the worst is gone, and I am predicting that the BTC will be at 3,500 USD within 60 days from today.

Why:

1.- More people interested
2.- More news and possible segwit
3.- On July 1st Australia will accept BTC as a currency.

So my advice is that if you can get as more BTC as you can, do it because this is just getting started.

These are sure good omens for bitcoin - especially Australia's adoption. It's one of the main reasons why there are members that aren't shaken by the recent dump/crash/correction whatever.

It's always been a fact that the more users bitcoin has, there is a large tendency for prices to go up.

The moment we break past the 3,000 psychological barrier, 3,500 will not be far off. I guarantee.

Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion
by
Ken1022
on 19/06/2017, 03:14:23 UTC
The finance industry and others are moving to a blockchain, it has not yet been adopted in full or implemented.

my personal suspicion is that the finance industry will never find a use for a public blockchain. i've heard of people who've attended some of these professional conferences coming back with the impression that very few of the attendees knew anything about it and were there to look cool.

but that's ok because real people will force them to deal with it whether they like it or not.

I work on finance industry, with IT at a Multinational Bank, directly with CEOs. I can confirm most people working on research and attending weekly conferences within banking corporation CEOs know NOTHING - I repat: NOTHING about crypto and some top analysts don't even have had contact with Bitcoin or any other coin whatsoever. Such a shame.

As nearly a perfect implementation of a trustless blockchain as Bitcoin is, the Financial/banking industry has absolutely zero interest in using it, for ONE reason only:

Because they can't corner the Bitcoin market at this point. And a market that they can't corner and/or rig (in favor of the wealthy elite) is a market that they can't control.

That should be telling us all something. That we should be using Bitcoin only, and use absolutely nothing that the Finance world would eventually promote.

I've got something that can relate to this

For anonymity, I'd like to mention a certain popular bank in my country that had once provided BTC cash-out services, but following the recent month's crazy spikes, the service was indefinitely suspended.

A surprising number of low-middle class IT students in my area have been benefiting allot prior to this. It really isn't fair for their options to become limited, but at least there are still 2 other slightly lesser known banks open to this service. But on a side note: One had a serious hack/glitch issue so trust problems had arisen. The other is extremely secured and trusted, but have limited branches compared to the other two.

So inside my little town, I do also believe... and experience at first hand.... that the banking/financial industry at a majority not dependable with bitcoin in the near future.

So the other day I just registered to their newsletter and joined their slack. Staff where friendly and were quick to reply on my concerns about the token sale.

I really love the idea of a decentralized energy market. This will give opportunities to more people who give value to the importance of renewable clean energy,  especially those with experience with solar panels. As a regular citizen, investor, and environmentalist myself, in my opinion, this ambitious but necessary contribution to the outdated energy market should had happened a long time ago. But finally, with the implementation of blockchain, I can see this change having a more solidified reason to come into fruition.

10% seems sound. I wish I did what you did when I was a few months newer to Bitcoin. The strategy is so simple, but in alludes most newbies like me.

Hodling and selling at computed intervals is the safest course of action, since you are going in between the extremes of a downward trend and an upward trend. You won't suffer so much in case of a long term downtrend since you have sold certain amounts, though you won't maximizie your profits in case it were a clear long term uptrend. So it's clearly a median route to take per se.

Swapping out some possible risk in favor for probably smaller but sure profits is never a "wrong" thing to do.

Re: Royal Dragon Traders : 2.2% daily for 90 days + binary income - Bitcoin
by
Ken1022
on 18/06/2017, 06:25:15 UTC
I have added a disclaimer to the original post for anyone who is not aware of HYIP (High-Yield Investment Programs).

Basically, Royal Dragon Traders is similar to Gladiacoin, Jetcoin, and other HYIP programs where you can earn Bitcoin's.

To simply put it in words; YES, most HYIP programs are Ponzi schemes and such programs only lasts for a few months however the best part of such programs is that they are PAYING for the duration of each program. Therefore, it is imperative to invest in such programs in the beginning and leave after a few months.

Royal Dragon Traders’ official launch is on 1st July 2017, and therefore, depending on its popularity, it will have a high chance for lasting for at least a few months, maybe even more.

I have invested in Gladiacoin and it was paying while it lasted however, now they are in the process of returning the initial investments made by members. I won’t get my initial investment back because I have already made more money than my initial investment.

Therefore, if you are willing to risk some bitcoin’s to earn more bitcoin’s, then Royal Dragon Traders might be great for you. Keep in mind that never invest more than what you can afford and never let yourself be overcome by your greed.

Your strategy may be correct but there is something very important that you are forgetting.

Hyip sites are created by criminals and by investing in these hyip sites you are contributing to the increase of crimes that happen on the internet

Interesting... now this is no longer an issue whether this is legit or not. But instead, it is treading the issue of moral ethics on business.

Of course everybody has the freedom to try it out, but by doing so, can one stand to have it in their conscience? Can one be truly happy by profiting from such sites?

To all new and experienced investors: act on your own risk, and have forethought on the effects of your actions.

Whoever you are does not matter, whether you were someone else in this forum before, or not, it really does not matter.

If you will deliver, and keep making safe strategies, then maybe I will try to invest the minimum amount in the near future.

Goodluck, keep your passion alive.

Minimum invest: 0.005BTC
Maximum invest: 100BTC

HAHAHA!!

Please sir, stop tempting newcomers of Bitcoin to let their BTC go to waste.

This is the usual scenario for doublers:

- First it may work for a while for small amounts - if you're lucky!

- Next it suddenly robs you once you've reached a certain threshold

- Third, the first part can be actually skipped!

Thank you for being honest that it's a doubler though.
