You should be able to get 800+ on those cards each.

settings, please? I can't get over 740 with mine, MSI has been a much better performer for me than sapphire dual-x or gigabyte windforce

Dont belive every troll who doesnt know shit.

Your cards generally are not able to do clocks which are  needed for 800+khs. You need minimum 1160/1800 for that.
Besides, pushing 280x to its limits not even closely efficent anymore. Those cards will consume way over 280W each and will be insanely hot when you push them like that. As a result fans would not survive over 3 months. Its a common flaw of several cards, If fans are running high rpms.

elchorizo, For heaven sake, read the thread before you make your post.
You are running DC2T and Toxic´s! Those cards can do 1140/1800. Majority of 280x cards can not.

Besides. Those cards fans are screaming loud at 70+ %.
Of course, its possible to do 800s with proper setup. If its worth to spend so much more money and power cost on Toxic cards for gaining additional 50-60khs is another story completely.

OK Mr. Internet Expert Smiley

You may want to tell your buddy that the Dual-X is identical to the Toxic except for the fan setup. In fact, he can flash the same Toxic BIOS I'm using onto his card and it will work just fine.

And I find 2800-3000 RPM @ 72 degrees to absolutely not be "SCREAMING"  as you put it.

You guys make me laugh. I won't bother wasting my time trying to help people out in this thread anymore. The information is out there if you are to lazy to find it and utilize it, thats on you. Everything I've said above has been said at litecointalk.org many times.

Im sorry to burst your bubble, but you are mistaken again.

Toxic uses Hynix H5GQ2H24AFR memory modules, which easily clock to 1800ish.
Dual-x uses cheaper Elpida EDW2032BBBG modules, which can not do 1800ish.
Besides their VRMs and voltage controllers are different. Cross flashing bios may work, but may fry your card as well.

While you continue to say it can't be done there are people out there who are doing it Wink

Such is life I guess... there will always be naysayers and there will always be people out there accomplishing things who ignore those naysayers who say "it can't be done".
Really? Thats your argument?
OK then.
Enough of OT.

Its just totally random. My lepa PSUs are golden and working without any issue for monts. However my RM1000 gave up after 2 hours.
If you google for RM1000 PSUs, you find tons of complains. Issues are mainly caused by RM1000 too passive fan profile and they tend to overheat and fry.

What is your opinion about those iceQ turbines compared to usual 3fan aftermarket coolers? Are they same quiet or not?

Is he mining with 4x 280's with 1000w?  Thats sweet if so..

Yes i am. Inside the case is Lepa G1000. Cards are running 1075mv, 1030/1500. The rest of machine is Gigabyte F2A88x-d3h and AMD A-4000 apu. Total power consumtion of the system is 1045W under load.
G1000 is superb PSU. Its absolutely stable under this heavy load.

My second miner will use EVGA G2 1300W. So it will have more headroom.

Thanks for your opinions guys!

Kergekoin,

What are the outer dimensions of that case?  What are the chances that it fits in a standard 19" rack?  Another idea would be to add removable rack mounting "lips" on the front.

Nice work!

Woodser

Thanks!
This case is 500mm x 500mm x 250mm. Plus nut heads which are 3mm. Same design could be made a bit smaller in theory. Probably could squeeze it to h 460mm x d 400mm x w 220mm without compromising temperatures.

Can I ask about the USB WiFI card?  Can you not place it close to a wired connection?

Currently this miner is on base floor wheres no wired connection available. Thats why i added wifi.
