Just leaving it, try prefer another coins that can indeed really promising to gain many profits and more people are interested in that coins (altcoins). I think it's clear.. it seems that this coin is less popular and less desirable by many people or lack of support.

There are a lot of people who regret that. Ethereum was under $1 for a long time and it just looked like it will go bust.

Well to me it seams that XMR is pretty much tied to the USD value, and therefore every step up bitcoin makes (pricewise) will be a step back on the XMR/BTC pair.

That is right. I think the Monero price is unrelated to the bitcoin. There are two different usage for either coin.

Indeed 0.1 is a good start to start trading you have to analyze the market and look for returning behaviour cause it usually always happens that previous jumps happen again in a certain frequention.
If you can find that you can profit from price jumps very easily.
0.1 amount would be good enough on starting up on altcoin trading but its not easy to choose a potential coin that could pump anytime soon since we dont know really the movement on when it would pump and dump thats why trading is little bit risky investment.
And that is going to be better if you are going to study first and you are going to do some researching for the alt coins that you are going to buy. Because if you are just keep on buying without proper knowledge on the alt coins you are buying and don't know what's its road map then that is just going to be a total lost for you.

I do not think so. In a week, the price could be around $700, but not $1000. $1000 could be reached in 12 months.

Just think, if you are an average Chinese internet user, would you pay fee's and go through the hustle of verification and transfer with limits or you would use BTC? I think that answer is more than obvious.

After the increase of block size, there will be more transaction in each block, that will make transaction easier.
I hope the block size can be increased soon. That will double the bitcoin price to $1500 or even hgher.
The bitcoin price is held low due to the slow confirmation time. If the block size is increased to 2MB, the price could triple.
For the Ethereum mining, the difficulty is rising too fast, so mine when it is profitable. It might not last long.
If the Ethereum price rise again, it will be profitable again. But you will mine fewer Eth after the difficulty rise.
