Main reason of doing that - fear that bitcoin will eliminate current financial relations and create a new ecosystem. It won't serve interests of many powerful people and will give them a push to claim bitcoin illegal

I saw news from Turkey where two imams were fired because of investing in bitcoin and using it. For me it's a big mistery why islamic countries don't see cryptocurrencies as a normal and innovative phenomenon

My humble opinion - Bitcoin will never be any cointry's main currency. Now we have enough examples (Venezuela, Sweden etc) of countries, who are developing (or just think about it, nevertheless) their own state crypto
