I have been using my bot for 8 months and still using it.Seems that you have no idea what API is and how bot connects to your account. There are two permissions that user can give: trading permission and withdrawal permission. We ask only for trading one. We have zero access to user's funds.

We also have some expenses per user to be covered with our part of profit. So the higher deposit is - the more profit can be earned.
We use 15 days control period. For example you have 10 BTC at the 1st day and after 15 days of using the service your balance is say 9.8 BTC - so we will pay you 0.2 BTC. We have special reserve fund for this purpose. But for 8 month of using and testing our strategy there was not even one 15 days period that end up with a loss.
